Ah… life in Tarpon Cove, at the top of the Florida Keys. Sand, surf, sun-washed breakfast and… handcuffs? That’s new, especially when they’re slapped on Fab’s wrists and she’s accused of murder.
If Creole and Didier think Madison is going to “leave it to the professionals” while her best friend ruins her designer heels in a Miami lockup, they don’t know Madison. At. All. Madison leaves no stone unturned to find out who wants her bestie dead.
Fab doesn’t need some clean-hands, designer suit, spotless-reputation attorney on her case. She needs someone who’ll play as dirty as the bottom-feeders framing her for murder. Someone who may or may not be holding a grudge because Madison allegedly let his grandmother get her bump-and-grind on at The Cottages. Allegedly.
Madison vaguely remembers promising Creole she’d stay out of trouble. But what’s a girl to do when trouble smacks her in the face like a deployed airbag and dangles her over a watery grave? Naturally, a girl pulls up her tankini bottoms and swims with the sharks.
Deborah Brown is the author of the Paradise series, Crazy, Deception and Trouble Florida Keys mysteries, which makes the reader laugh, cry and cheer...
My personal ad would read:
There's nothing a new pair of shoes can't cure.
Redhead. Long legs. There's nothing like a strawberry-lemonade in summer. Favorite activity: Filling my pockets with seashells. An avid rule follower when eating Animal Cookies: Broken ones get eaten first, match up the rest, duplicates next, line them up favorite to not, least favorite go first. South Florida is my home, with my ungrateful rescue cats, and where Mother Nature takes out her bad attitude in the form of hurricanes.
Exciting and Deadly Who Dunnit This book is part of a series that is place in South Florida. The ongoing personal story is essential to the series. The books should be read in order, although each book is a complete mystery. This episode is very exciting! The two main female characters are being 'pranked' in a horrible manner and it gets deadly quickly. The reader doesn't know in advance who is the culprit or why the women are being targeted. Page-turning, white-knuckle reading! I have been binge-reading the series and have no intention to stop. It is still exciting and fresh after 19 episodes!
Wow! I'm really sad I finished this and only have one more book left to read in the series. The excitement is endless and I feel like I've just been in all of the chaos. I really liked how a previous book was tied in with this one. It kind of adds more to the feeling of the series just being one ongoing story and not individual books. As always, the characters, setting and story are all wonderful, full of details and developed over time. I cannot praise this series enough.
Love the series and the characters. This one is just as action packed as others. Fab is on the radar of someone who is seriously pissed and wants revenge. She and Madison are almost killed multiple times. I love how strong they are and its a good thing they are great shots. They also don't pull super stupid stuff like they used to. Every once in a while they'd pull off something that made them to stupid to live. Glad they grew up some. No cliffhanger, better if series read on order but can be standalone.
I am so happy I found this series and Deborah Brown! It is such a fun series, and after 19 books, the characters just feel like family. You’ll be glad you spent time with Madison and Fab and ride along on all their adventures. They are up to their usual shenanigans, but this time they need to solve the mystery of who is “wronging” them! Enjoy!
Oh how you're going to enjoy this one! Crazy is just a small part of the surprises in this one. And they don't stop coming, they roll on like waves on their private beach. Grab your self some sweet iced tea. A couple of lemon squares, put your feet up and enjoy.
First she’s arrested for murder. Then all kinds of strange things start happening. A woman yells that she is a con woman. Someone leaves a poisonous snake on her office stairs. Finally someone leaves a dead body. Fab and Madisen are harassed and almost killed several times. But they finally find out who is behind it all. Another great read.
Mayhem, chaos, accidents happening, Fab framed for murder. Madison is on her side all the way. Family is strong. Lots of love. Humor, relationship development. Love this series!!!!! Looking for a good series with a bit of everything this is it!!
I know it's fiction, but this story was more unrealistic than others in this series. The girls took ridiculous chances, and considering who Fab's dad is and Creole being ex cop, why didn't they have bodyguards? This one j ust wasn't that good.
I have read all previous books and have enjoyed everyone . Deborah Brown has a special way with mysteries. I have recommended this series to my friends.
After 19 books, Madison & Fab continue to get in trouble and lie to their husbands to cover-up disobeying them and do what they want to do. But of course their husbands are trying to control them and keep them out of trouble, which they can't. I Think they should divorce them and get their relationship 's back in order. They were much more interesting when they were single.
Someone is trying to frame Fab for murder, and Madison is not gonna let that happen. They are tormenting the two women to no end, poisonous snakes, dead bodies, and all the usual shenanigans from Jake's and the Cottages. With the help of the husbands and the rest of the family, Fab and Maddie set out to solve all the mysteries going on.
I love this series. The characters are just great and it is written so well that you are right there with them. I am never disappointed with the story. Wow I'm ready for the next one. Thanks Deborah it was fantastic. Maryruth
Ms. Brown does not disappoint with Madison and Fab's situations and shenanigans. Happy to see Tank and Gunz coming around to be stars too. Will again look forward to a new Paradise adventure
I am ready for #20! It is wonderful to see such great characters continue to grow. Friends and family relationships continue to be a central focus. Well thought out plot that looked back to old cases. Great to revisit these characters.
After 18 books , one would think there would be no more storyline. This was an intriguing read. Bringing in villains from past books, who were not dealt with successfully, added a new dimension to the sequel. Is there more to come?
In reading this series it was wonderful to see strong women in roles normally thought of for men. 19 books that kept my interest right to the end from book one to book nineteen.
