Judith Garrard, PhD, is a research psychologist and professor at the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health, where she has served since 1971. As Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research, she teaches graduate courses in research methods and program evaluation. Her research focuses on pharmacoepidemiology and prescription drug use among the elderly in various care settings. She has led NIH-funded studies on antiepileptic drug use in nursing homes and published extensively on psychotropic medication use. Her book Health Sciences Literature Review Made Easy has become a key resource in public health education. She has received multiple teaching and research awards.
