I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Helen and Hawk. Helen is determined to get to the root (bad pun I know) of the problem with the trees in the public park. She knows she needs to go at night for 2 reasons. 1) there are other more highly paid scientists working during the day on this problem and 2) she wants to know what is happening when the tree is truly open to the elements. During the night the tree opens it leaves more fully pulls more moisture from the ground. All of this will give her a better understanding of what is happening. Also if she can figure this out it will give her a real shot at a ten year in the college she is currently teaching at. What she didn't plan on were the bikers killing 2 men that same night, or Hawk. Hawk has just put some repairs on his bike and figures now is the perfect time to take her out for a ride. Little did he know this wasn't the only thing he would do that night. He rode his bike farther than he planned on and it put him in rival MC territory. There is a reason he is there he just knows it, he finds out soon enough though and it is her Helen. With one look he knows she is his he just hopes he can get them both out alive. Will that night bring them a HEA they didn't know they could have or will it be their signed death?

This is another amazing hit by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will take you on a world wind that you won't want to get off of. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Helen and Hawk are an unlikely couple but somehow, even with his completely over-the-top caveman antics, they work in this crazy, steamy story. The ending is cute and funny, too. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Not awful but just a novella like so many books flooding Amazon...

Was enjoying this at first, with her running around in the dark park to examine trees as a botanist. But it becomes very boring and dragging when Hawk and Helen are tryjng to decide what to do about Carl, the baddie biker. I did end up putting it down then, which isn't good when this is so short l should have been able to finish it in one sitting. Because it's not a book, it just a short novella. Then suddenly it turned in to one of those ridiculous dragged out s*x scene type books, with so much coming and bodily fluids I thought I'd stumbled into an Omegaverse story. There was so little plot it was only just slightly better than all those thiusands ofchurned out on a conveyor belt type of books that the likes of Jenika Snow, Nicole Snow, Sam Crescent etc push out two and and three times every month, without the slightest effort put in. I often wonder are they all the same person writing under different pens names, because while I've only read a handful of books by each of them, they all write exactly the same story over and over, in exactly the same way, with ridiculous OTT sex scenes. Anyway.

It's also not sexy to be drooling with your mouth hanging open when you orgasm author. When Hawk enters the scene, the way the writer has him thinking about himself, things like 'to feel the cool night air in my long, dark hair and the vibration through my rock hard body' is never good. Character's should not think of themselves like that. Hawk becomes so mushy and spouting about 'sunshine turning to rain' etc. I just lost interest. There are also issues with this writing, not only does the author irritatingly switch from past to present tense mid-sentence, there are also poor grammar and punctuation mistakes. The writing isn't awful. I have read much worse and actually I liked that the premise was slightly different with her being a botanist and liked the characters so I struggled with the rating, 2 or 3 stars.. But honestly while I enjoy a quick HEA read, like some of Brill Harper' books, this is really was just alright. I also hated how the just author makes the bad guy bikers not bad guy bikers in one sentence, ending any potential action/story. So 2 stars.

OMG SUPER HOT
Helen is walking around a park late at night looking for a plant so she can do some research. Helen has ambitions, she is a Botanist and She had planned to come when the park was locked so she could do some tests at night but when she hears voices she hides behind a tree. Maybe this wasn't the best idea, the voices sound angry. What happens next shocks her she hears a murder 2 gunshots. she continues to hide but when they start to search for a "witness" she doesn't know what to do. She is shocked when she feels a hand over her mouth and a dead body not far from her.
Hawk was minding his own business, just out for a ride on his Harley. He doesn't understand the pull he feels to get to the park until he sees that his rival MC is looking for someone in the park. He quickly hides his bike to take a look and when he spots a woman hiding behind a tree he knows he must help her. He is willing to kill a man to save her. Is he really willing to go to war for this woman???

This is a great story full of insta love and passion. A love so strong you will do anything to protect your future!!!!
A great storyline and wonderful characters.

No one writes insta love tales like Annabelle Winters! Her stories do have a formula in that you know there is going to be a very unpredictable pairing, and the love bug hits immediately. After that comes a very steamy getting to know you period, albeit short period, and then marriage and at least twins. However, the stories contain many surprises along the way.

In this story biker gang member, Hawk finds botanist Helen in a dangerous predicament. Not only does he save her, but he also falls head over heels in love with her and she with him. Now they are both in danger, and the twists begin as Hawk has to figure a way to get them out alive so that they can have a future together. Action and thrills, as well as the steamy romance, highlight this story. Of course, Hawk and Helen get their happily ever after.

The Botanist and the Biker is a fun and entertaining story. It is an easy read that makes you smile and at times, laugh out loud. You will find yourself rooting for this couple to make it through.

Annabelle Winters has written another steamy tale of love and passion mixed in with suspense and action. A quick read for laying in the bath on a cold night.

Helen is a botanist who thinks going into the city park late one night to collect samples of a tree rot that is happening in the park, she hears voices about meeting the Vipers MC for a deal. Then suddenly she hears gunshots and she knows that she will be next, so she tries to remain still and hidden.
Hawk is from a rival biker club and he hears the gunfire so goes to investigate, the moon comes out from behind the clouds and suddenly Helen is visible to him. Instantly Hawk knows she is his and so goes to rescue her from being caught by the Vipers. One of the Vipers is on his way to finding Helen, so Hawk knows he has to move fast. The only way to save Helen is to put the biker out of the story.
This angers the leader of the Vipers and they have to fight it out. Hawk and Helen go into hiding and the battle happens with Hawk winning their happily ever after.

The Botanist and the Biker is way OTT steamy and short story in the Curvy for Him series by Annabelle Winters. This book tells the story of Helen and Hawk. She is a curvy botanist who goes where she should not be at night and ends up in the middle of a MC gang murder of two drug dealers they were supposed to be doing business with. Hawk is a rival MC member who is taking a nighttime ride on his big steel ride and happens upon the scene in the park on the outside of town. For some reason he is drawn into the park where the clouds part and the moon shines down on her luscious curves .................. he knows immediately that she is his and that he is meant to protect her.
This story is filled with all manner of cliche and eye rolls but also a whole lot of fun and more than a ton of sizzling and steamy sexy. It is super fast-paced, suspenseful, dramatic, romantic, erotic and a whole lot more. I have come to really enjoy this series by Annabelle Winters and this story is no different.

Helen is a botanist she’s in the park at night in stealth mode wearing all black sneaking around looking at the plants that are diseased, Helen wants to find out what’s killing them so she can get tenure but suddenly she hears two men talking so she tries to hide behind the bushes. The two men are arguing then a load of motorbikes turn up and they argue then the biker from the Viper’s MC shoots the two men and Helen hears it all then they spot her car and the biker says search and destroy now Helen is in big trouble. Hawk was driving near the park when he hears two gun shots he knows who the shooter is but then he spots a lime green Prius parked next to the park and the hairs on the back of his neck stand up he thinks that they are going after a witness so Hawk creeps over to the park and he spots her and the only thing that Hawk can think of is that she is mine. If you want a curvy story with danger excitement and hot steamy scenes then this is the book for you, this is a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this latest installment of the Curvy For Him series. (Much more than the last installment - The Quilter & The Quarterback.) The characters, Hawk & Helen were funny, quirky, had personality, strength, determination, and intense devotion (to each other, and for Hawk, to his 'brothers').

When Hawk saves Helen from a deadly situation, he finds both of them now in a pearolous situation. Either he find an amicable solution by himself, or the clubs go to war. War is not what he wants. He does not want his brother's blood on his hands (as a result of his choice to save Helen).

When Hawk opts to address the Vipers (rival MC gang lead by Clay) by himself, Helen is terrified, but understands. When it comes down to Hawk vs. Clay, who will be victorious? Will Hawk & Helen get their freedom and HEA, or will Clay get what he came for?

This is a quick, fast paced read that will keep you gripped from the first page through to the very last. Enjoy!

Another insta-lust/love quickie with “whoa mama” scenes!
Helen is a botanist on the hunt for an unknown disease attacking the trees in a local park. Because being here at this time of night is unlawful, she’s dressed in all black and armed with only her red-spectrum flashlight. If she is caught, she could jeopardize any chance of becoming a tenured professor at the university where she teaches.
Hawk is the biker out for a joy ride on his 900cc Harley-Davidson bike when he sees a dangerous scene to which Helen is an uncomfortable witness. What happens next sets into motion an unbelievable scenario, but also guarantees that Helen and Hawk get very well acquainted;-) Will they survive? Someone dies, but who????

Helen is a botanist and is trying to find out what's going on with the trees in the park. So she decides to go and investigate at night when no one else is around. However while she is there she witnesses a murder by a biker gang. Hawk is out testing his bike after doing some work on it when he spots Helen right when a rival gang member sees her. He stops to help her and gets himself caught up in her mess. Hawk is drawn to Helen from the moment he saw her on the street so as soon as he gets her to safety he knows that he'll be claiming her for his own. Will they be able to get out of the biker mess safely? Will Helen get what she was after with the roots of the trees?

This is an great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Helen, a botanist and Hawk, a niker who saved her. Helen was in a park at night studying a plant when she heard a group of bikers arrive for a drug deal. The deal went bad and the lead biker killed the two guys he was meeting. The bikers found Helen's car and knew they were not alone, so they set out to find Helen and kill her. Hawk was from a rival biker club and out test driving his bike when he arrived at the park. Hawk saw a biker about to attack Helen and stepped in to save her. Hawk knew there would be more trouble, so he took Helen to her car to escape, Hawk thought Helen was his and was determined to be with her. Helen was attracted to Hawk, but she was scared about the other bikers, but he vowed to protect her. I loved this book. I loved Hawk, i thought he really had a love at first sight and he would do anything to save Helen. I love how Helen trusted Hawk and was willing to do as he wanted. Well done.

Helen is a Botanist out after dark in a closed park trying to get samples to figure out what’s happening with some of the plants only to be a witness to several killings. Hawk is in an MC and happens to be outside his territory when he hears and sees trouble with Helen right in the middle of it unknowingly. Hawk makes a last minute decision and gets Helen to safety but is seen by the rival MC. When these two drive away Hawk knows that Helen is his and they have an instant steamy connection that we so enjoy! Helen and Hawk come to terms with what they mean to one another and plan to take a stand against Carl and his MC without creating a war between the two MC’s. Maybe you should end your workday at 5:00 PM. Hawke, MC finds Helen, a botonist in a precarious position. She went to the park to collect samples and hears something she shouldn't from a Viper, a MC. Then she hears gunshots and stays hidden. Hawk, near hears the shots and investigates. While rescuing her, they are both hit by the lightening bolt! Hawk engages the Viper which angers the club. They go into hiding. The courtship, so to speak is immediate, hot heavy and adrenalin fed, since they are hiding for their lives. Ms Winters' descriptions leave you seeing, smelling and feeling the tension of all the scenes. You are there, experiencing everything Hawke and Helen are, except for the sexy times of course. If an author could lock down that experience . . .! Good story. Well done! I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.

Started off hilariously as Helen innocently and excitedly sneaks around to research a plant disease in a closed park.
Her POV was fun and upbeat and had me on team Helen from the first scene.
Hawk’s instalust was also kind of sweet and their edgy banter was amusing as well.
In the midst of this tongue in cheek budding romance, there was a real threat going on and in spite of the upbeat light tone to this storyline, murder, mayhem and graphic scenes ensued.
I loved Helen’s wit and innocent yet snarky charm as she was able to keep up with Hawk who was all alpha male when it came to Helen.
A bit of drama with the sinister Carl, but he was no match for Hawk and Helen!

Passion as sudden as animal
I liked the original beginning, with a botanist, close to nature, who to get her tenure at the university goes underground to do an analysis in a park to save a species, but she ends up in the middle of an exchange between criminals which ends up in bloodbath. She is saved by Hawk, a biker of a rival gang who passed by and lives on instinct.
The story speaks a lot of madness and once we accept the crazy side of this meeting, the story is pretty good, extremely hot, well written with twists: they must find a solution between causing a gang war, escaping, to leaving the gang, to surrending, to hiding ... but whatever they choose, they know that the solution will be dangerous.

Helen is a botanist who has headed to a park late at night to check out the tree rot in the trees in the park While she is there she hears The Vipers MC making plans and knows she has to hide, what she didn't expect to see was a gun flight leading to deaths. Hawk is a member of a rival MC and when he hears the gunshots he goes to investigate and sees Helen hiding The moment he sees her he knows that she is the one for him but can he keep her safe from the Vipers they will need to go into hiding which may give him the chance to prove to her that they belong together

This was a great book !
This is an action packed read.
This is a "wrong place + wrong time " scenario.
Helen is a botanist, and she was at the park late at night to collect tree samples.
She sees something that she was not suposed to see, and now she is on the run.
Hawk wants out of the gang.
He is tired of the gang life, but it is easier said than done.
Will Helen + Hawk be able to outsmart the bad guys ?
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Hawk is the biker that rescues Helen the botanist. Helen witnessed a crime and now is a target. Hawk sweeps her away from a rival MC.

Dread mixed with despair at their options for survival without getting into a war between the two rival MCs that will mean bloodshed. Hawk called her his Helen of Troy.

The writing is awesome as always. It’s quirky with lots of hot sex. There are many possible surprises, blackmail, twists and turns to keep the reader fully engaged. Read the book. I think you will enjoy it.

Another great addition to the Curvy for Him Series by Annabelle Winters. Once you start, you won't be able to put it down. Helen is a botanist who goes to the park at night hoping to find out why a disease is killing the plants. Only she ends up witnessing an MC club murder. Hawk is a member of the rival MC the Hounds when he comes to Helen's rescue. His involvement results in the murder of a rival MC member. But he knows without a doubt when he first sees Helen hiding in the park that she is his woman. He just needs to come up with a plan to protect his woman and the family they are going to make together.

Helen is a botanist, and sneaks into the park late at night for research on a specific plant. She sort of witnesses two men being murdered, and now the MC murderers are looking for her. Hawk is drawn into the park, and rescues Helen. But there's a problem - he belongs to a rival MC and shouldn't have been there. He falls madly in love with her, and begins to plan for her safety from the war he knows is coming. This was a fun book to read, but it also had some drama, and a few plot twists. Helen and Hawk have great chemistry, and some quite amusing banter. They manage to find their way to their HEA.

This book was a surprise to me. I have enjoyed many books with curvy ladies. And I have read some books with bikers. But this...drama, intrigue, suspense, lust, love and HEAT. I had forgotten how earthy bikers can be. They do not put on airs and they are who they are. No apologies. Just like Hawk in this book, Helen offers n o apologies for her size, but lives fulfilling life as a university botany professor. These two meet under less than stellar circumstances and the entire story is built on that. Ms. Winters has done a fabulous job of portraying the biker life. This is a must read.

Helen goes to the park after dark to retrieve samples from trees to see what is killing them. She unknowingly becomes witness to a double murder and although she's hiding, they go searching because her car is there. Hawk rides up on his bike, sees Helen hiding, figures out the story, kills a gang member to save her and takes off with her in her car. They feel an instant attraction and bond and they know Carl and his Vipers are coming. Hawk wants Helen forever and wants out of the gang. They just need to find a way out....together. Sweet ending!!

Surprising!
I wasn’t sure about this book when I started it, but as I progressed it started to grow on me. The very concept for the book is way out there; however, the improbability was intriguing and the characters grew on me. They say that love works in strange ways, and this certainly is an excellent example since it did even in this case. I can’t wait to see where the author’s imagination takes us next!
