If you were walking down the road and saw Donald Trump, what would you notice? Follow the missteps of our phony baloney, wishy-washy, frumpy dumpy president with a cleverly illustrated and worded picture book.
Inspired by the beloved Wonky Donkey, but not written by or endorsed by its author, this parody is a parody book for adults (though parents who have chosen to read these books to their children have enjoyed them as well).
A portion of the proceeds is being donated to the International Rescue Committee, to help refugees get supplies, girls attend school, etc. This author is exercising her first amendment right to criticize the current administration and using her voice to do something and help others. This book is not an attempt to 'brainwash' or teach hatred and the author has been sure to avoid some of 45's more offensive terminology. Trump fans will not find this amusing at all; mostly everyone else will. Sometimes the truth hurts. Life's too short and the political climate has been too tense. Enjoy this comedic novelty for yourself or makes a great political humor gift. Laughter is the best medicine.
This is a very disrespectful book that should not even be associated with anything like The Wonky Donkey children's books. Donald Trump is the President of The United States and children should be taught respect for the position of President, even if some don't like him. This is what's wrong with our young people growing up today. They are taught to make fun and be disrespectful. Shame on this author!
I really hate bully’s! I can’t stand people who say they are against one thing and then encourage it! This author stands there and states how she can’t stand how Trump picks one certain people and that’s what she is doing, and causing me to do! She is making fun and disrespecting OUR President! He isn’t my favorite person, but you still need to honor the seat and title he holds. This is what’s wrong with America, no one honors anything anymore!
I think it’s hysterical, he poked fun at everyone and everything. What goes around comes around. Its just a silly poke at a very narcissistic man. A man who still thinks he won the election, who doesn’t think that’s funny. He could go on national TV and make fun of people, it’s just a silly little book doing way less harm than he did. I had a good chuckle reading it.
Very disingenuous and misleading to produce a book mimicking the popular Wonky Donkey book, but that isn't intended for the same audience. My 5-year old does like rhyming books (like Wonky Donkey) but does not need to hear about discrimination against women and muslims. I feel conned having bought this book and will be looking for a refund.
Probably not the top-rated book of the year, but, boy, did we enjoy it? Following up from the hilarity of The Wonky Donkey, this book just made me giggle. We have a small collection of Trump Bump literature. It is available for our guests to read in our best little library spot, complete with toilet paper to write reviews. Just one of those books that if you know, you know.
This book wasn't super satisfying. It's poking fun in really overused ways without much insight or satire. The simple style would he fine if this book was actually for children, but it's clearly for adults.
...doesn’t take much talent. Don’t bother unless you hate America. If you do you are an ingrate. Try living in another country, you’ll come running back. Oh yeah...learn some respect.
A gift came in the mail that brought a huge smile. An event unseen for an extra long while. Some say there might have even been heard A giggle, a chortle, or slurred silly word. The neighbors say "no, that simply can't be, we're all too alone in our mis-er-y."
