it was fascinating to read this kind of creation story of vampires and werewolves. The way witches,vampires and werewolved living together in peace in a secluded settlement was really interesting as well. The story went nicely along and thats when the first troubles or sinister happenings started it left me on the toes of my feet. Sadly at some point during the middle the story was only dragging along and i had troubles going through with it. And then the ending really surprised me and i wasnt expecting it at all. That made me curious for what the sequel had in store. ll in all it was an easy-going read and im so happy that i stuck with it till the end.

This is the first book I read from this autor and let me tell you that I loved it! Such a good book with great characters that keeps you obsessed with every page since the first one. Amazing job! If you love suspence this is definitely a must read!

Such a page-turner. I swear it was so worth it! Something I love is when there is a story with plenty of suspense. Makes the reader want to keep on reading the story. It was worth the read. The author is amazing and I cannot wait to read more work of hers.

"Schatten der Vergangenheit" ist der erste Band der "Die Nacht ist unser" - Dilogie aus der Feder von Maria Spotlight und entführt einen Leser in die Welt der Übernatürlichen, die der Werwölfe, der Vampire und der Hexen. Inmitten der drei Clans befindet sich Larissa, ein Mischling, das seine wahre Gestalt vor allen verbergen muss. Neben bösartigen Machenschaften seitens ihres Bruders, stößt Larissa auf viele Misserfolge, darunter befinden sich auch Hass, Liebe und Loyalität. Der Schreibstil der Autorin war anfangs sehr einnehmend und flüssig, dann auch spannend, aber so ab der Hälfte hat es sich sehr gezogen...

This was my first book by this author. I did not disappoint. The world that was created was fantastic. It took a bit to get into it, but was totally worth it. I'm excited to read the sequel.
