Well…it’s an alien slave ship, but it might as well be hell because she only has three choices. Mate. Become a sex slave. Or be killed. Great options. Desperate for freedom, a chance for survival is presented in the handsome rogue alien called Xul. But Xul is caught up in problems of his own and a mission he cannot afford to let fail—one that could be easily compromised if he dared open his heart. That doesn't leave her with many options and it doesn't help that she finds him utterly frustrating... ...and strong, hot, irresistible… She shouldn’t really be thinking about him like that. Should she? Xul is a standalone read that contains delightfully steamy scenes with a guaranteed happily ever after, possessive alpha males, and strong female leads. There is no forced mating between the hero and heroine and no cliffhanger. It is the first book in the Captured by Aliens sci-fi alien romance series. Buy Xul today! A new galaxy awaits.
Pretty sure I didn't read the same book everyone else was reading, because I can't say it was good.
Let's start with the characters - what do we know about the female MC ? Well, she had a dog, she worked at a pharmacy and hadn't gotten laid or cuddled with anyone in a while. What about Xul? Well, he had a sister who died. If you wanted more, you know, to actually feel a connection to the characters, well you are way out of luck. They are absolutely superficial. Also, she describes Xul having a piercing like a bull ... through his nostrils. Um no, bulls have SEPTUM piercings. A little more research would have fixed that right up. Or you know, just look at the cover of your own book.
The story - No world building at all. I've read quite a few alien books, where the author has taken the time to explain certain things, I mean, all it really takes is a sentence or two. That's a good thing here, that's word count, that helps your story along. Don't be scared of it. But instead, you're now dealing with a spaceship and a planet where apparently humans can breathe ok, have no gravity issues, I mean, totally normal stuff.
Lastly, it's unoriginal. Which I know, alien book ? How ? Easy. She makes a reference to Star Wars, you think oh, it's a passing reference. Nope, she uses it to base other characters in her book. Then there's Avengers - one of Xul's buddies is basically Vision but blue. Then there's the phrases that have been repeated in many, MANY romance books before this, for many years. "Gasping into a kiss". Really ? You couldn't come up with anything better than that ? Oh and this is a good one. About 1/3 of the way into the book, she FINALLY decides to give this alien some type of alien language right, mind you, in the form of one word. It was suddenly like a baby saying his first curse word, you know, how they start repeating ALL THE DAMN TIME? Yeah, he found his word.
Lastly. Grammatical errors, editing errors, which are a direct result of a bad beta reader, bad ARC team, and clearly a lack of something as simple as freaking Gramarly. Am I expecting too much? Not at all. This was clearly written by an amateur and it reads as such. VC Lancaster managed to pull of a fantastic series, where the characters never even spoke the same language. They had depth, they had layers, you could feel the connection between the characters. The world building was superb. Read those books, compare them to this crap, and then come and tell me I'm wrong.
(As always, I have notes & highlights, you know, to prove my points)
I decided to pick this up after finishing another series by this author and I’m glad I did. I enjoyed it a lot and I found this to be an easy engaging read. It’s alien sci-fi romance which I’ll admit I’m definitely a sucker for. Here Athena awakens after being kidnapped and finds herself along with various other human females on a large spaceship and the prisoner of a race of slug-like aliens.
Taken as part of a slave trade for profit it’s not long before Athena is auctioned off and sold. But one of the guards aboard the ship a bull-like humanoid type alien complete with horns seems different yes he’s an ass but much less so than the others and when his current mission results in them both crash landing on a harsh desert-like planet if Athena wants any chance of surviving her current situation she’ll need to learn to trust and rely on her new strange alien companion.
Xul has a mission to complete and nothing can be allowed to stand in his way Athena is a complication he hasn’t factored in. Her species seems weak soft and Ill-equipped to survive the rigours of space. The human females aboard the ship are not his concern or even a priority basically they are now collateral damage to a much larger picture.
But When Xul and Athena are forced together by circumstances outside their control he never expected to change his entire opinion in regards to her species. She is much stronger and more resourceful than he could ever have imagined and the more time he spends with the little human the greater his fascination with her becomes but there’s a bigger game at play here one that’s so much more vital than just Xul and his own wants and it’s also one he’s determined to see through to completion.
This was well written and gripping the initial circumstances and Athena’s early experiences set the whole early tone of this before gradually things start to look up for her. This definitely has some darker overtones and situations but it felt authentic to the whole experience.
Xul doesn’t start off this as Athena's hero it’s entirely accidental that she ends up in his company and under his reluctant protection. She wasn’t the end goal or even someone he was trying to proactively save though she does eventually become his everything their eventual connection forms through their close proximity and Xul’s realisation that she is so much more than his first initial impression of her as a species.
The romance was a slow build one and felt believable though it did seem to take a while to kick-start. I did like how determined Athena was, Yes she didn’t always have the best success rate when it came to her own self-preservation and it was more about her heart and not any great ability which let’s face it was more dumb-ass luck than anything else but Athena is a trier and would rather fall on her butt and fail at her goals than go out not attempting to try at all. She is definitely a ride-and-die girl.
Xul initially came across as quite cold blinkered and ruthless and this is I think mostly because of his fixation on achieving his ultimate end game. He knows that there will be collateral damage and has accepted this as an acceptable outcome to his higher goals of achieving a greater good. he’s spent so long working towards this liberation in his sister's name that with the end finally in sight he can’t allow himself to veer off-course for anyone. But when he eventually succumbs to his feelings he is all in and despite wanting to shield Athena from any potential danger he stays this natural instinct and allows her to join the end-game and assist in freeing her fellow humans from their current captivity.
This is the first book in the series and it’s obvious that there are other stories still to be told. Ones I’m definitely interested in experiencing and exploring further. Yes both the world building and background to both Athena and Xul themselves could probably do with some expansions and elaborations this to me is probably it’s main flaw this lack of deeper insight also the romance did take a while to come to fruition but as a whole I was entertained and this did manage to easily engage and keep my attention.
I definitely recommend reading this series if you like your alien romance with plenty of action combined with added grit and for me, this managed to strike a decent balance. It was a cohesive beginning and introduction to the series as a whole there were definitely things that could be improved on but it also had many positives as well. Most importantly I was entertained.
The h is kidnapped, has her legs forcefully spread so that an alien feels up her privates to do a “ gender check”. After that she is auctioned to an alien where he talks of using her as a pleasure slave or a breeder/mate. She sees evidence, hears the other woman in the room say the alien will rape her regardless of anything. She actually sees evidence that the other woman in the room has been abused then she actually HEARS and SEES the rape, followed by the alien killing the other woman.
SHORTLY AFTER, we get this. “It took her by surprise but his skin felt a lot softer than it looked. It felt like suede moving over rock and Athena’s cheeks grew warm from the proximity. When was the last time she’d actually had some? Apparently way too long ago for her to be reacting like this! He was an alien. Her hormones apparently didn’t mind that fact. It seemed as if her body was quite happy just having any male touch her, alien or not. Well, maybe that was not entirely true. She had been grossed out by every other alien so far… “ towards the H. Then she stares at his groin and wonders about his cock.
I needed more time before the h started feeling attracted towards the H after the on-page rape of the other woman. Am I crazy? Damn. 😩

This series is a spinoff to the Riv’s Sanctuary series. The storyline here is based around the spaceship 🚀 and the aliens that were responsible for abducting humans. And the warriors who have been working to bring these aliens down. Great start to this series, plenty of non stop action.

Should I read in order? This is the first book in Wilde’s Captured by Aliens series.
Basic plot: Athena wakes up and realizes she’s been kidnapped by aliens and she finds help in one of them named Xul.
Give this a try if you want: - Sci-fi romance - Cuddling for warmth - Survival themes - Bit of a road trip feel - Plenty of action/scenes of danger mixed with romance - Celibate hero - Medium steam – 3 full scenes
My thoughts: Xul is on a secret mission and Athena, as a fragile human, is definitely mucking up his plans. He can’t seem to abandon her and by the time she saves his life, he’s already falling hard for her.
I ending up really enjoying this novel! The start was a little slow and the mains were together for basically the first 50 pages or so and I was really salty over it because the book is only 200 pages. It felt like forever! But once they were together I was really into it.
This one is a higher action romance and being shorter, it doesn’t leave a lot of room for world development or character depth. I felt like I don’t know much about Athena or Xul upon leaving the romance but I really loved their journey and did appreciate the alien creatures introduced along the way.
My favorite part of this book was how strong our heroine was! Her and Xuls attraction was quite lovely to me. I felt like they were really falling in love – it wasn’t pure instalust/fated mates which I find a lot in sci-fi. I liked the humor and thought there were some really sweet scenes. I would try more from this series at some point!
Quotes/thoughts: After the danger of entering the atmosphere, he’d tried his best to land the ship as delicately as he could. It had crashed nose-first into the ground below. Ah well. He’d tried. ---- “My horns are not used for battle,” he said, his eyes searching her face. Athena frowned. “Then what are they used for?” “They are a symbol of my species’ virility. The longer the horns the bigger the-” “Okay!” Athena raised her hand to stop him.
Standard SFR with rough start since the heroine has been kidnapped and is being auctioned off as a sex slave (trigger warning for scenes where heroine is “examined” against her will). After crash landing on hostile planet, she survives with one of the guards who’s is working with the rebel group going against the horrible, diseased, toad-like kidnappers Isclits and the Tasqal. It’s an on the run romance and while I’m willing to check out more in this series, I actually think I like the spin-off series a little more.
Xul and Athena went through trial by fire and it brought them closer very very quickly. Xul was a safe person for Athena after she was kinda thrown into his escape/assassination plan by chance and she held her own throughout the desert journey. I wish we’d have gotten more background on her and Xul though. Xul was intense and broody but also had a sense of humor that endeared him to Athena.

SEXY SCI-FI ROMANCE!!! Title: Xul Series: Captured by Aliens Author: A.G. Wilde Designation: Book 1 of Series, Full-Length, Can Be Read As Stand-alone, #sciencefiction #romance #alienhero #kickbutthumanheroine My Rating: Four Sexy Sci-Fi Stars****
Wow! This was my first time reading the work of A.G. Wilde, but it certainly won’t be my last! I’m a total sci-fi junkie and have been for the last 65 years. At only 8 years of age, I read The Lost Island, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, and The Time Machine. When I was 10, I discovered movies like Forbidden Planet and The Day The World Stood Still. By the time I graduated high school, I’d devoured every single science fiction book in our local library. Then in the sixties, I became a Trekkie fan and was enthralled by aliens, the Enterprise, and Captain James T. Kirk as he womanized his way through the galaxy. Then I discovered science fiction romance novels which, back then, were far and few between. Thank goodness, I now have Amazon, ebooks, and my Kindle to support my addiction. Lol... And why am I sharing this information? Well, I guess I’m trying to say I’m a bit of a science fiction aficionado. I’ve read thousands of science fiction novels and can be more than a little snobbish about my choices and reviews. I also know when I’ve hit pay dirt with a new-to-me author, and I definitely struck gold when I found newbie author A.G. Wilde. A few days ago, I’d just made a purchase from one my favorite science fiction romance authors and Xul popped up in the recommendations from Amazon. I was immediately drawn to the cover. The author was unfamiliar, so I decided to check out the bio, blurb and free sample. I’m always on the lookout for talented new writers and decided to give it a whirl. Besides, it was available in Kindle Unlimited which meant I could borrow and read it for free. If I didn’t like it, I wouldn’t be out anything. And folks, best decision ever! As a matter of fact, I liked the book so much that after I finished reading, I actually went back to Amazon and purchased it for my permanent personal library. That in itself is quite a recommendation! There were so many things I enjoyed about Xul. The world building was exceptional, the narrative was beautifully written, the plot was well executed, the pacing was perfect, and the storyline was riveting, but my favorite element was the two protagonists, alien warrior Xul and human abductee Athena. I loved Xul and Athena, especially Athena! No shrinking violet heroines here! Nope, Athena was kicking butt and taking names throughout the entire story. She not only saved herself, several times, but she also saved the hero, too! Thank you A.G. Wilde! There’s absolutely nothing sexier than a strong, courageous heroine! I was so impressed with the writing that I raced back to purchase other books by Wilde. Unfortunately, Xul was the only one available at the time of this review, September 3, 2019, (remember, new author!), but Wilde did state in the acknowledgments and info in the back of the book that more in the series were on the way and gave a link to sign up for her newsletter - which, of course, I did!
Did I like this book? Well, I think it’s fairly obvious that I really liked Xul, but the real question is would I recommend it? You bet, and I am, but only for adult readers since it does contain explicit language and several steamy, dreamy love scenes. But just to be clear, it’s not insta-love with the hero and heroine jumping into bed together within the first few chapters. Nope, it’s well past the halfway mark before there’s any action at all between the sheets. Was it perfect! No, there were a few minor booboos, but nothing that actually distracted me from the story, and the book was much better overall than many new-author first releases I’ve read in my almost 70 years. So yeah, I’d say if you enjoy imaginative, gritty science fiction filled to the brim with action, adventure, angst, suspense, romance, non-stereotypical aliens, and courageous kickbutt heroines, then this book is screaming your name! Will I read this author again? Absolutely! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read! Well done, A.G. Wilde! Now bring on Piper’s story!
I have mixed feelings about the book. It definitely kept my attention, however, the way the women were treated was almost unbearable... Also, hero was a jerk... When the heroine wakes up naked on a table, he gives her amused looks when she tries to fight back.... Not cool a$$hole! Any decent person would not be amused by a poor woman being kidnapped and then tortured by aliens!! Then he only saves heroine from rapist because it's the only convenient opportunity he had to kill enemy.. (Only time he was alone with him).. wtf.
Also, why would the heroine want to go back onto the ship -knowing that they have a button that can paralyze her and put her in pain. She is not a soldier . She is a liability. She jeopardized the mission and he was stupid enough to let her go.
UPDATE :
I have officially finished the series. Please don't let my above review make you turn away. It definitely gets better with each book. I am extremely happy that I gave the series a chance. I added this author to my follow list and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future

*Review bombing due to days of zero time to log in. I apologize in advance for clogging everyone's feed 1/5*
Minotaur hero, the leader
I was super busy for days so I decided to get this series' audiobook bundle just so I wouldn't have to *gasp* be alone with my own brain as I did the things I had to do.
Imagine my surprise when I finally sit down to write my review and I find out I've already read book 1 of this series... Not a good sign, but as I reread my own thoughts, my second first impression matches my original first impression, so yay~ One less review to write~
I have already read two sagas from this author and I really liked them. I scrolled on Kindle Unlimited for my next read this time and chose this. Unfortunately, I wasn’t vibing with the book or our FL, so DNFed at 30%
You cannot expect me to believe that our FL who was abducted by aliens, been subjected to absolute terror since the moment she is awake and when you see the guard you think he is… handsome? Emm… nope. Absolutely not.
Xul by A.G. Wilde was strenuous to read. This book had a great story but a superficial and abridged execution. The main female character was the majority of the time only a spectator in her own story. The plot is very interesting, a little bit rushed at times, especially in the end which resulted sadly in a lot of superficiality and ruined it for me. I couldn’t connect with the characters. I knew nothing much about them. The writing is ok but lacks expression. It was not easy to imagine the surroundings and different alien species by the given descriptions. Many were confusing and some didn’t even make sense. Just when you thought, you have an image of the alien species in your head, several pages later the author reveals another detail that lets the previous picture grumble into dust.
Over 20% of the book, I get to experience how our heroine tries to find out what mechanism the doors use to open and to reveal themselves, yet, every single time some mundane thing distracts her from paying attention to it. This is tiresome. The whole time she tries to focus on finding a way to escape or at least regain some control, yet, every single incident ends up with her being stupefied. Best example at 32%. He is in the middle of cutting a hole in the ceiling of the crashed shuttle, why? To leave the shuttle. And she can think of nothing better, than to try to sneak towards a door of the shuttle to escape... sooooo, this left me confused. Why would he cut a hole in the ceiling if the door is still functional after a crash? Why would she try to flee through a door she, still to this point, has no clue how the mechanism works to open it? And again, she is still focused on survival and escape, as often as we get reminded by her of it. And again I am left confused by the heroine, as she leaves the crashed shuttle, into a horrifying alien/Sahara environment, without even considering to plunder the ship for like say water or food, something to wear, something to defend herself with, medical kits, anything? She wants to fend for herself, yet she does not make any attempt to receive that knowledge, not by discovering it for herself or even asking questions. She just lives in her head and let’s herself drift by outer influence. It is really boring and it gets annoying after a while. It is not a nice read so far.
At about 65% it gets better in terms of the characters, finally we see some long over due development. Which could have been better integrated into the story little by little to gradually raise the excitement instead of that long dry spell in the beginning.
I gave this book three stars because the beginning half was amazing, but then it totally tanked at the end. I was so into this book for the beginning half, I couldn’t put it down. The story line had depth and I loved the slow build between the characters. This wasn’t an instant “you’re my mate” story and I loved the growth between these two. The plot line flowed nicely and there was enough drama and excitement that I was hooked. Aaaaand then came the first love scene. Throughout the beginning of the book, you mainly get Athena’s point of view. A couple of times you get Xul’s two cents, but they are short and to the point and clearly separated. The build up to the first love scene suddenly goes all over the place. One paragraph is Athena’s point of view, and then the next sentence it’s Xul’s. I was so confused as to who’s mind I was in I had to go back and re read to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. It didn’t happen just a few times, it happened the ENTIRE chapter, and it suddenly felt like I was reading a porno. It was super cheesy and short and the dialogue was atrocious. Throughout the remainder of the book the word “mushroom tip” was used a dozen times, so much so that every time I saw it I rolled my eyes. I found myself skimming over the rest of the love scenes as they were just as awful as the first one. Another big issue I had was that for the first love scene, she was mere hours after having been seriously injured multiple times. Head wound, leg wound, deeply cut hands, complaining of serious migraines, but had zero issue getting bizayyy. When they are rescued and start planning their new attack on the original ship, she goes from a wimpy human that struggles to navigate her way through the alien way of life without getting seriously injured, to “I’m strong and I want to go on this rescue mission to save other humans!”. She’s given options for her weapon of choice and she chooses a blaster gun that she flat out states “I have zero experience shooting guns and my aim is terrible, this weapon is perfect for me!” What? The rest of the book becomes super rushed and cheesy. And I just hated it. I felt like both characters were done dirty. They definitely deserved better. If you told me two different authors wrote this book I would have said that made sense. Because the last portion of this book was so different from the beginning there is no possible way it was by the same person. What a disappointment. Seriously. Don’t waste your time.
This was an okay read. I finished it, but I won't remember it in a few weeks. If you turn off your brain so you don't think too hard while reading it, you'll enjoy it much more.
There are many things that didn't make sense, but here are a few that bugged me the most:
Why a supposed intelligent species put a t-rex and a saber-toothed tiger in with women they wanted to auction off to the highest bidders. Earth is millions of light years away and can't be reached easily. The Isclits obviously spent a lot of time & money getting these women. So why then did they put them in with vicious predators??! You can't tell me they didn't know these creatures were dangerous! Makes NO sense at all. 🙄
Athena finds out that she and the other humans who were abducted are "samples". The Earth is in danger. Umm, how exactly? 🤔 Xul explains to Athena that the wormhole the Isclits used is closed. It only opens once in every twenty million of her Earth years. There's no way to get back to Earth. They are on the other side of the galaxy. So please explain how Earth is in danger? 🙄
How Athena, a woman that never went to the gym, one who worked in a pharmacy, turns into Xena Warrior Princess? This is the same woman who couldn't figure out how to open the doors, but is later admired for her ingenuity. 🙄
I'm reading the next book in the series, only because a reviewer says it gets better. I certainly hope so!
Please be aware of the trigger warnings at the end of my review, this book can be pretty dark and graphic at times.
This starts out with the heroine Athena realizing she is not on Earth anymore. She has been taken by aliens and been put up for auction. But while she is at this space station, she ends up meeting one of the workers named Xul. Athena is super surprised that she is attracted to an alien, but she puts those feelings aside when she and Xul are forced to lean on each other during a dangerous trek. They of course start to fall for each other the more time they spend together.
Athena and Xul are so cute!! I didn't know how I would be able to like Xul, since he worked for some pretty evil aliens. But once his identity is revealed, I totally got it! I adored how he slowly started to fall for Athena. In the beginning, Xul thinks that Athena is a weak yet amusing small female. But then she ends up saving his life a few times and he sees her in a new light. They are put in deadly situations and forced to admit their feelings pretty fast. I love how the ending set up the other books in this series, and I cannot wait to read more!!
TW: (None of these happen between the two characters) SA (on-page to side character), animal attacks, death, murder, blood, pedophilia, bombs
fortunately, I read CREX before XUL and I gave it 5 hot stars. This one was horrible. Xul is a commander and rebel alien, he looks like a bull with a ring in his NOSE (in the middle not even a small ring at left or right side). REALLY!!!!!. From the beginning, I couldn't feel any connection between H and h. I couldn't stomach him at all. WHY? Let's see.
The devil was amused in the most bad situations. Definitely, Crex's story was more serious and tense. I wish Yce's story will be amazing too.
I've said it once and I'll say it again: even the best premise can be ruined when the FMC is unreadable. Please stop with the "sassy" FMC. You know, the one is who is supposed to be "strong" or "spirited" or "brave" because she reacts to situations with mindless anger or quips or bullshit one-liners. Basically, you could swap her with any other FMC in a million other books. It's not weakness to be afraid, or pensive, or silent, or panicked. Or to act they way every human being would act in a situation, instead of a marvel character. Even casual readers want some depth in their FMCs. Every! Sentence! She! Speaks! has an exclamation mark. We get it, she's shrieking constantly. It's inferred after the first 3 paragraphs of dialogue (the woman even thinks with exclamation marks).
I think I'm hard on this one because it started out cool and I had high hopes. Please, authors of the world, try ANY OTHER character trope. I promise I'm not the only one sick of this.
This was a very nice story . I thought the characters had chemistry and were funny , even if the circumstances weren't. Athena has been kidnapped from Earth , and wakes up naked in some kind of Alien space ship . Xul is a , "guard" , on this ship . But he is not just a simple guard . Together they find themselves in one predicament after another, and even though the going is tough, they find that they can rely on each other. I loved the way the story evoked and unfolded as the characters learned more about each other . And I would definitely read more from this Author !I
I read a review on here that you had to be a part of an arc team to actually give this book a good review but i disagree. There is enough back story to walk you into this story, which only takes place over a very short period of time! It felt right for a first story in a series and i think this author has a ton of room to grow her world from here. I liked how the chick grew into a little badass and surprised herself over and over again.
This was an interesting story about independence and survival. I loved the characters and thought they are exciting. There were things missing for me and I felt I wanted to know more about the slave auctions and the species that took the humans. However the far fetched info on the wormhole took that away from the intrigue
3.5 because the beginning was a four and then once I got to like 70% it was a three and then like the last like 4% was like four again. And by last 4% I mean, like the end like action scene Ish. But I would totally read the next book and I forgot her name but she had like platinum blonde hair. I’m excited to read her book because I liked her.
I love an alien book, especially when the human has been abducted and needs to adapt. The author did an awesome job world building, but there were a few times that Star Wars similarities were made. I'm hoping that they're vague but I don't know Star Wars well enough to be sure. I really enjoyed Xul and Athena's story.. but I wish just ONCE when an author makes an alien series the original couple would have more than just 1 book. Book 1 always builds the world, sets the tone of the situation, and introduces the players. Every time I read a series, the first book is so action packed I don't feel a strong connection to the characters until it's nearly over. Then it's on to the secondary characters. I will be reading book 2 since I was actually already interested in what happened to Piper.
Xul is the first explosive sci-fi book in the Captured by Aliens series by AG Wilde. Kidnapped and sold by vile creatures who take and breed no matter who you are. Creatures who torture, rape, and murder, no matter the consequences. It is a dark, high-stakes danger with romance, action, tension, vicious battles, danger, and suspense. A series that should not be missed.
But hot on their heels are aliens that have lost everyone they loved to these creatures, hoping to stop them to exact revenge. These new aliens are loyal, have courage, and will take on all looming threats that jeopardise their lives and the lives they swore to protect. These alpha heroes find something they thought would never be possible, and that is a connection with humans in the face of uncertainty and danger.
Yessssss. Aliens and the ladies who capture their hearts. As always, I'm in! (The heart-capturing comes after the actual capturing but all ends up well, as you can imagine.)
First off, the bad guy aliens are groooosssssssss. So gross. Like, oozing pustules gross. Yuck. Secondly, abducting humans and throwing them into a habitat only to watch them get picked off by other abductees seems like a bad business model. But this scenario does put Athena and Xul into each other's orbit and I'm 100% okay with that.
Speaking of which, Athena and Xul. She's determined to fight until she can't anymore. He's determined to make the bad guys pay for past crimes. When things happen that throw them together, he finds her spunk and fighting spirit something to admire. (You know, humans might look weak, but they have untapped reserves they can call on when needed and that always impresses our alien dudes.)
Gross aliens. Hunky aliens. Forced proximity on a hostile and dangerous planet. Sexy times. A little danger. I kinda dug Xul and his resistance fighters and the other human women dropped into this weird world. Good stuff!
3⭐️ // 3🌶️ 🎧quick audiobook listen. Didn’t hit quite like the Clecanian series, which is what I was hoping for, but it was entertaining. I’ll be continuing the series.
Hoping the other books don’t use the phrase “his mushroom tip” as often as in this one did 🤣
