Know Thy Enemy

Rate this book
Embarrassed by his defeat at the hands of the Rogue Slayer, Director Bishop intensifies the training of his Slayers and increases the patrols throughout Morrigan. What he doesn't know is that his enemies grow stronger every day, and their hunger for vengeance grows even more.

Sevrin and Orion have a plan to form the most vicious team of assassins ever trained, but will they be ready in the short time they have to train them? Torn between loyalty to his King and fellow vampires, and his own selfish desire for revenge, Sevrin must tread carefully. He knows too well that justice and vengeance walk a similar path, and one wrong step can bring the whole Kingdom crumbling down.

The Slayer Order and the vampires of Castle Carlcinni fight to show the people of Morrigan who the real enemy is. Are they the Vampires who have been labeled as monsters? Or are the monsters the very people who promise to serve and protect? Find out in Ascent from Chaos: Know Thy Enemy.

My name is James Lefay Bishop, or James Bishop for short. I am a local author from Southern MD. I've been writing for as long as I can remember, but the dream to become an author began in middle school. I read Anne Rice's Interview with a Vampire and I was spellbound. I went from that to The Vampire Lestat, and then the entire Vampire Chronicles. Anne Rice and Maggie Shayne have inspired me to write, and I am pleased to announce that I have released four novels; Ascent from Chaos: Rising from Ashes and Ascent from Chaos Know Thy Enemy, Ascent from Chaos: Unlucky 13, and Ascent from Chaos: Allegiance.

I am currently self-published and am looking at other publishing houses.

The second book of the series was just as amazing as the first. Like all sequels I wasn’t expecting much. I was happily proven wrong. This author keeps giving more and more. His vampires are right up there with Anne Rice. 10/10 will reread again. I’m excited for the third book!
