Southern Dreams ( Sweet Tea Witch Mysteries) Book 15
You know that mean, ugly witch from The Wizard of Oz, well, she has a staring roll in this Pepper mystery. She didn't have flying monkeys, but she did have a Murder of Crows! How does Pepper, Betty, and the rest of the crew break the nasty curse plaguing Magnolia Grove? You must read it to find out! It's a great light hearted mystery for all ages!
Ok I’m going to sound absolutely insane, or I’m just going to sound like someone totally emotionally attached to these characters. I love The Sweet Tea witch books where no one dies, and guess what people this was was one of those! So the background behind this crazy installment stars what seems to be a very famous witch from our world! A witch comes to visit Pepper and boy is she mad! This witch is depicted to be the very famous Wicked Witch of you you know where! Now this witch who goes by the name of misery is very upset she hasn’t been invited to the upcoming nuptials! After the book before this one we really thought we would be smooth sailing into this wedding but boy was I wrong. Misery decides to take out her unhappiness about not being invited by cursing the entire town of Magnolia Cove! Now this isn’t just some rinky dink ordinary curse, this curse makes all of your nightmares come true! Now I don’t want to spoil anything for readers but this book has so much fun twists and turns it was hard to put down at times. We get to see the essence of all of our favorite characters fears and just how they manifest in real life! Mint and Licky play an incredibly pivotal role in righting this mess, surprisingly nothing gets solved until Mint and Licky help out! This book was so excited because it is the book before the wedding! There is so much suspense and excitement linked through this story to get you ready for the next one!
In this case, Misery does NOT like company… unless it’s in the form of crows.
A curse has been placed on not only Pepper, but the entire town of Magnolia Cove, Alabama. Why would anyone do this, you ask? Well, because a certain witch wasn’t invited to attend Pepper and Axel’s wedding. Ya, she’s angry enough to cause everyone misery.
The curse is that everyone’s dreams come true. And Pepper’s aunts Licky and Mint gone Pepper an early wedding gift in the form of a dream catcher. Yay, right? Wrong. Seems the dream catcher isn’t helping Pepper at all by catching her bad dreams because she’s having severe nightmares every night. So is the rest of the town.
Then the nightmares start happening in real life! And why is a crow following Pepper around and giving her dirty looks? Join Pepper and the rest of the Magnolia Cove Gang when they join together to figure out how this curse can be broken. Or will Pepper succumb to the werewolf in Axel and get eaten as he chomps her into his mouth and runs off into the night? Will there even be a wedding??
Next is book 16 of 28 in the Sweet Tea Words Mysteries: “Southern Magic Wedding” and you know things never go quite right for Pepper, so let’s hope all the evil and everything else is wrapped up by the “I do”. And based on this book, will a wedding even occur now that there may not a Pepper any longer?
This is an entertaining cozy mystery series. Great cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Pepper done is a witch and a supernatural town in the south. She owns a familiar shop where she Connect familiars with their owners. She currently lives with her grandmother and two cousins. Her grandmother is a powerful witch and her own right who basically runs the town. Are you cousins are half which have Janie as their fathers are genies and their mothers are Chaos witches. Pepper is about to marry actual rain a half wolf half wizard and he’s powerful in his own right. Read on and see what adventures they get to in this book. Sometimes it’s a murder sometimes it’s just straight up mystery. Yes it is always got something to do with magic or the supernatural. Enjoy
This novel has about the most evil witch that Pepper has come across. What happens when you forget to invite an evil witch to a wedding? What happens here: a curse on the town. People begin having nightmares on a consistent basis and it seems some of them are becoming true.
Not a good thing. Not good at all. You've got doves transforming into harpies, a creature that tries to eat Pepper, crows that form attack squadrons and a whole bunch of other bad things going on. Trying to apologize to the witch fails so it's up to Pepper and others to stop the witch and break the curse.
The character of Grumpy (yes, it's explained in the book) is really neat and I hope he sticks around for future novels.
Upheaval before a wedding is par for the course. But a town being cursed because an evil witch isn't invited is just next level (and vaguely familiar) ! While most of the nightmares are suitably terrifying Cordelia's is just pathetic and reinforced my opinion about her insecure personality. I like the difference to this whodunit; the WHO is never in doubt, and the IT isn't murder. The humorous bits with the crow and resolving this is fun, even with Pepper seemingly off her A-game. Distracted by pre-wedding details is one thing, but using a gift from her aunts and seeing no correlation between this gift and the town's troubles is ridiculous! I love the ending and look forward to the wedding (finally!).
I have binge-read this whole series - I just couldn't stop and read anything else. Ms. Boyles has an incredibly fertile imagination, and her characters are well-thought out and believable (bearing in mind they are all witches! lol). All of the plots are very entertaining and I sometimes felt as if I were there myself. You don't really have to but I'd recommend reading them in order to appreciate the character and plot development; some of them are sequential. I was sorry to see the series end.
In this book Pepper didn't invite a witch to her wedding so Misery put a curse on the town making their nightmares come true. When Pepper realizes this she tries to get Betty and Axel to help her confront Misery but they want more proof first. The ending to this book was awesome and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. Amy Boyles is an amazing writer.
After reading 15 books in this series, I can finally admit I’m not reading them ironically and that I’m actually invested in the plot and characters.
This little storyline was fun, and I think pepper befriending the embodiment of a nightmare was cute, although I like Cordelia and Amelia less in each book. I feel like they both just kinda need to grow upppp.
Pepper and the.crew find that the town has been cursed by a witch that feels slighted by not being invited to Pepper and Axels wedding. As the night mares start coming to life Pepper makes the endings different than the dream. All turns out for the good and the wedding is just days away.
Poor Pepper can not catch a break. With her wedding fast approaching she has a visit from a witch called Misery who wasn't invited to the wedding and so she curses the town. As the curse unfolds it seems everyone's nightmares seem to be coming true and Pepper and her family must figure out what to do to break the curse before the town and it's resident's are destroyed.
Nightmares coming true was the name of the game in this book. There was no murder mystery to solve here, and we knew the bad guy from the beginning, but it was still very fun to experience the different dreams and nightmares our characters had to deal with. Next up...the long anticipated wedding of Pepper and Axel!
This is a book that was fun to read and I did truly enjoyed reading it. I will not say anything about what I read because I tend to blurt out the twists and turns and spoil it for others. If you want to read a good book or rather series this is a good one to read.
This series gets better and better. I love the town, the residents, the familiars and regular animals; but most of all , the wonderful quirky family that loves and protects one another no matter what. Please, keep writing!
Pepper is up to her eyeballs in problems. In this volume an evil witch causes all sorts if problems. It is up to Pepper and her friends to power through and save the town and it's inhabitants.
A witch not invited to the wedding gets her revenge by cursing everyone to have nightmares that came true. Pepper and her family work to stop the bad dreams.
This is book 15 and I have read each one from one to fifteen and enjoyed all of the excitement that includes love, mysteries and so much action that you can’t put it down. Have to get to work. Recommend it to everyone
A great suspenseful book. Lots of unexpected happenings when a powerful witch is forgotten when sending out wedding invitations. She creates all sorts of mischief to retaliate.
I really like this Sweet Tea Witch Mystery Series! It has crazy, funny characters that I love. If you like funny witches and their relatives in cozy mysteries, then you should read this series. ❤🌟
Enjoy the series, but this particular one is probably my least favorite out of all of them. Plodded along, but looking forward to seeing where these characters are headed.
Enjoy all the characters in this series, and the variety of mishaps that occur. Fun and quirky! Always want to find out what’s going to happen next in the series!
This is a well written and developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
Sometimes dreams come true that we don't want to come true. Some much of life is illustrated in this series presented as supernatural but very human after all..
Loved the twists and turns in this book. Scary, funny, and tender moments kept me reading when I should have been doing other things. . . . like cleaning. Lol
