Settling in Summerland was easy. Staying will be harder. With every week in her new home Lucy realizes the divide between herself and her divine neighbors is wider than she realized. Nightmares plague her sleep, whispering locals leave her paranoid, and the secrets keep piling up when Jack and Liam leave town unexpectedly. Is the cost of staying in a world where she doesn't belong, worth the rewards of the men she's met along the way? Lucy must fight for her place in Summerland, and possibly even Summerland itself in the action packed conclusion to the Summerland stories.
Kathryn Moon is a country mouse who started dictating stories to her mother at an early age. The fascination with building new worlds and discovering the lives of the characters who grew in her head never faltered, and she graduated college with a fiction writing degree. She loves writing women were are strong in their vulnerability, romances that are as affectionate as they are challenging, and worlds that a reader sinks into and never wants to leave. When her hands aren't busy typing they're probably knitting sweaters or crimping pie crust in Ohio. She definitely believes in magic.

D U D E. What an epic conclusion to the Summerland Series. Of course, as with any series, I’m sad to see it go BUT I’m about to live and die for these Winterport Shorts and CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW CUTE THAT NAME IS. Also. Just. I can’t put into words how good this was! Hot dang. It had heat, and sass, and more mystery, and UGGGGH it was perfect. So many twists and turns and THE END SCENE OMG THE DRAMA. SO GOOD. And my HEA to make my heart happy. Of course by now I expect nothing less from Kathryn Moon, word witch extraordinaire! My favorite quote was when Liam told Lucy she wasn’t a battery *insert dramatic crying emoji* BC THE FEELS I GOT EM BAD. Okay I’m done.
We get answers things happen and it all works easily for Lucy. It was easy for her to get away from a bad guy, it was easy for her to find the guys, it was all easy which is fine, but the story isn’t complete imo. Even the HFN doesn’t feel finished because she has so much to learn. Does she have powers? What does she need? What does making a new town encompass? I was very interested in the story. Which is why I’m rating it a 3. For being the 3 part of a story it was decent but I’m still left hanging and not completely satisfied.
I still feel like I have too many unanswered questions.
This was favorite of the trilogy, we get some amazing battles, connections strengthening, a fabulous epilogue and finale. I was sad to see it end but was happy I finally went back and finished this series.
Some bad things are happening that Lucy isn’t privy too and that irks her (rightfully so!). The gods finally let her in on the missions, the kidnappings, the weakening of their powers/people disappearing. Lucy had dreams that arent dreams (won’t spoil it for everyone) but she makes herself a part of the discussion despite being only human (at this point haha). She has suspicions with who is to blame and she ends up being right and the gods eat crow when they realize she was closer to the truth than they were. She goes on a mission to rescue two of her lovers who were kidnapped and they were all able to come together to win at the end.
We get to see more relationships grow and develop in this finale, and I was happy with one that I didnt particularly like in book 2 haha. He was a big surprise and the ending made me all gooey of him haha. The author does a phenomenal job with getting us readers to like even the most conflicted MMC haha. I loved seeing the gods for what they were, seeing more of their powers, seeing behind the curtains if you will. Loved the group share scenes hehe and all the chemistry that continued to heat up. The love you felt between Lucy and her guys was great, I felt like some didnt get as much spotlight as I would have liked but I understand this was a series of short novellas that were fast-paced and high heat.
Still enjoyed this one, would be awesome to get a random check-in with the world or maybe an extended epilogue or something. See how everyone is doing in their new area and after they get used to the new dynamics ❤️
So this is almost a DNF. I really like the first 2 books but this one really made me mad about the bad turn. You have a mortal woman living with gods and she wants to be told stuff that isn't really her business and she gets mad because they keep secrets?? They are thousands of years old and they've known her for a month and she's pissy about people not telling her stuff? Just because you date some of them doesn't mean you are entitled. And she makes the worst decisions! They basically tell her that if they die then whatever they represent is gone but she gets mad because they won't do as she says? She's a child in comparison. I only finished reading because I wanted someone to tell her to me d her own business but sadly it didn't happen.
**Tropes** - Work Colleagues - Gods & Godesses - Heavy Foreshadowing - Baker FMC - Reverse Harem - Small Beach Town Vibes
📖 **My Thoughts** With this last installment of the Summerland Series, we really pick up with the lore. This one is longer than the first two and I see why. We learn so much and there’s so much world-building packed into like 15 chapters. Honestly I wish this had been a trilogy of full length novels, and I’m so glad the combined series includes a bonus short, because otherwise readers would be left in suspense in many ways. Overall, a very interesting end to the series.
⚠️ **Triggers** - Drugging - Kidnapping - Unwanted Sexual Advances - Violence - Murder - Minor Prostitution, Starvation, Addiction
🏳️🌈**Representation** There is one, maybe two BIPOC characters in this and one trans character. It’s only briefly mentioned, but I like it that way honestly. Makes it feel like a normal facet of life.
🌶️ **Spice** Spice was good, as usual. We finally get Felix and oh man that guy is my weakness. There’s also storm sex, which is on my bucket list. Some slightly kinkier elements to this one, with some DP and anal play towards the end.
And just like that, it’s time to say goodbye to Summerland… but I’m not ready! This final book wrapped up the story with plenty of twists, steam, and surprises. Some answers were satisfying, some moments had me stressed, and the drama kept me hooked until the end. I’m definitely going to miss this series—it was a wild, fun ride! I’m happy with how things ended for Lucy, and that makes saying goodbye a little easier. I also loved the dynamics between the men—each relationship brought something special to the table. The chemistry was on point, and it added so much to the story!
Ah. That’s all I can say. The stunning finale to this trio of books hit it out of the park. Kathryn is an amazing storyteller; she paints a vivid picture with her words and I love diving into the worlds she creates. Lucy and her guys are so sweet and just click. The secret of Summerland is revealed to Lucy and there are terrors awaiting her in Leaving Summerland. Will they survive? What will happen next? Five stars for this book and five million stars for the series!
Lucy gets dumped by her fiancé at the last second and goes on their honeymoon to Summerland herself. Once there, she meets Felix, Jack, Dylan, Liam and Raylon, all of whom are interested in her and her baked goods. Eventually, it's revealed that they and the other members of town are gods, and her baked goods count as worship! The plot has to do with missing gods, and I enjoyed the heck out of this story!
The series resolved very well. I am pleased with how things turned out. I of course want more, but hey, I'll take what I can get. Time to go find another book by this author, because nothing else seems to measure up to the steamy-ness or the laughs Kathryn Moon gets out of me.
This book was full of steam and action. I liked how the characters interact and how the plot came to a head. There were twists I wasn’t expecting and it the conclusion was nice. It’s left open so there could be more and if there isn’t, you don’t feel like you’re missing anything.
Great story, interesting differences from the typical paranormal RH books. No annoying spelling/word edits that were missed. Quick and straight to the sexy stuff with more character development later. It was a fun series!
This series was such a fun, quick, and steamy read! I love the characters, the story, and the 🔥🔥. I honestly wish there was 20 more books in this series. Yes I’m that greedy 😂
This series just made me so genuinely happy! There was just so much to love! From the unique storyline, to the sexy times, to the mystery and suspense wrapped around Summerland and it’s people. This ending was bittersweet, very happy with the way it ended, but sad it’s over.
Wow. Again, I LOVED this! There was a bit more focus on plot in this final book, which makes sense and I really loved it. I would have loved a tiny bit more expansion at the end but I still loved this a lot and I'm going to read the bonus story immediately.
I like the series, they were short and together comprised what would have been a book. They were a fun, light read for me. They tied me up until I can find a book that I am interested in reading.
This was a pretty good series. I love the relationships that build and the community that the gods all have with each other. Worthy read, reverse-harem, fast-burn.
Loved these novellas read them all in one day. I loved the characters, I do wish there was a little more about their relationship and feelings for each other, could have used another 3 books!!
I really enjoyed how quickly this series moved and that they were all novella length!
I love the thought of gods and goddesses all living together in secret, I mean who wouldn't want to be giving tribute to all of them?! The characters come to life in a way that feels organic, their depth and personalities painted vibrantly.
And the SPICE! I love a reverse harem and I loved all of the men from this series, but I definitely have a favorite.
