Dear Friends. Pay attention, please. I have no z-e-r-o doubt that The Regenerative Life will be a solid-gold winner. --Tom Peters The world often falls short of how we'd like it to be, and our ability to make even just a little difference can seem limited. Sometimes it feels like you need to be a super-hero to achieve anything meaningful. But what if by re-conceiving what you do, you could change the world for the better? In THE REGENERATIVE LIFE, Carol Sanford shows you how to fundamentally change the roles you play in society, enabling you to do more than you ever believed possible; grow yourself and others, provide astounding innovations for your clients, children and students, generate extraordinary social returns, become more creative, and bring new life and opportunity to everything around you. THE REGENERATIVE LIFE teaches you to see your roles differently: stripping away all preconceptions of how it should be done, understanding what your role is at its core, and building yourself back up to become something new; something so grounded, inspiring, and resilient, it can change the world.

not to be confused with an enneagram book. folks who've studied the enneagram of personality to any real extent will likely hate that component of this book as much as i did. i think the same goal could have been achieved without just tossing the fundamental dynamic structure of the system, and honestly could have easily included an amplification of that enneagram, rather than just randomly dropping nine roles around the symbol. but anyway, that's not super important to me for this review, and i'll save my rant—and the project of building a better version—for some other platform.
the real value of this book lies in the multiple, intricate, dare i say exquisite frameworks for applied systems-oriented change. even just one of these frameworks would have been worth the price of admission. but they just keep cropping up. i've not yet had the chance to begin applying them, but i can already sense the efficacy from noting overlaps with other disciplines.
Like people come into your life for a reason and at the right time, I believe the same happens when we read , or learn something new. At this time with the Covid - 19 outbreak we cannot think we can eventually just go back to normal. The world will and have to change, so image if we started everyday , saying how am I going to make an impact today , and we all did make an impact can u imagine the ripple throughout the world. Carol speaks of Regenerative Action.
Currently: We have a give and take view Do no harm / stop harm Do good in the world but imagine if we all started the day saying how am I going to help someone to reach their full potential , to uncover their abilities? To do this we need a growth mindset not a task mindset. What role can u play in a persons life or in the community? Carol speak about Renerative roles - an Initiator, a manifestor and destabilizer but imagine becoming a designer This book made me think out the box as far as how I currently manage my team, people and how I should be doing it ! Worth a read .

"The work at the level of the regenerative paradigm is to support the actualisation of living systems."
Are we able to engage with a system as a coherent whole? Do we see phenomena in terms of wholeness and dynamism rather than in terms of things? Do we take action and make choices to support the full expression of this dynamism?
This book is an invitation to discover our responsibility to make things come alive. Make room for the regenerating citizen, caretaker, entrepreneur, earth tender, educator, media content creator, spirit resource... A book to discover what are your roles are in life and what is the highest, regenerative, expression of these roles.
