The Secret of the Plumed Serpent: Further Conversations with Carlos Castaneda

Rate this book
This work deals with what happened because I got involved with a group of practitioners of curanderismo and witchcraft. It is not my intention to describe everyday events, what I share here is a selection of extraordinary facts and moments, where I learned or experienced something special.
So, properly speaking, I can say that I am the product of both teachings: that of the group of healers, on the one hand, and that of Carlos Castañeda, on the other; in such a way it is inevitable for me, sometimes to mix both terminologies. I confess, however, that in this work, I made a special effort for the benefit of the readers, in order to make it more coherent with the vocabulary of nagualism used in Carlos' books.
Because of my command, I have been able to corroborate to a great extent many of the challenges left by Carlos. And even though I am still in the collection phase of my past experiences, I have lost my human form and have managed to complete my energetic body. This has opened the doors to an extraordinary world for me.
We have many hidden capacities, which are only waiting to be explored, but for that, we first need to become aware that these possibilities really exist, a means to achieve that goal, is through exposure to power stories, because they help create a precedent within our vision of the world, once we know the feasibility of something, that before we even dare to think about it, then that possibility, becomes real, also for us ...
In the way of knowledge I have experienced things so out of the ordinary that to try to expose them in the form of a plea from a tribune would be to expose myself to ridicule, or perhaps to be cut as a madman and a liar, by those who know nothing about these matters, just as happened repeatedly to Carlos Castañeda.
...This is where the old proverb that says, "you feed an ant but let an elephant pass" applies to people who get caught up in the details of the stories, in the description of the events, and lose the most important thing that is the message.

The second book of Armando Torres, one of the toltec writers. Toltec writers are the one who were chosen by Spirit to belong to lineages of sorcerers, and wrote accounts of their doings, on the same premise as Carlos Castaneda that is one showing the world what is sorcery and toltecs as heirs of humankind of the knowledge that is at the tip of each individual's finger tips, really. The books of armando torres are great companionship to who read the books by carlos castaneda, because they develop the concepts introduced by CC.

I wrote a new Carlos Castaneda review with the name "The Science of Seers". It has a different perspective comparing Modern Science and the wisdom of the Shamans of Ancient Mexico and also the religion while touching all the main existential questions of human beings. And for me, it puts the writings of Castaneda to the right place as it has never done before. If you could take a look and read it I will be pleased.

This is a very satisfying read. If you enjoyed the entire cycle of Castaneda's books this is a welcome companion to them. Carlos has taken a lot of heat, some of it earned but much of it barely informed or completely unhinged. This book shows a personal side that is very fascinating. Armando asks good questions and the responses are interesting and sew some of the more vague aspects of Castaneda's neo-nagualism together. But the best part is when Armando links up with a parallel lineage of healers and describes his experiences with them. I especially enjoyed his description of a ceremony to call down the Plumed Serpent. Very lovely.

Armando's first book, "Encounters With The Nagual Conversations With Carlos Castaneda" is available as a free PDF: https://thetoltecpath.files.wordpress...

Author don't have any relations to Castaneda's party except one meeting. I believe is more fiction than true but book was worth reading.
