The book is a compilation of short stories by greatest Philosophers known in history. There are many life lessons and takeaways in each of the stories. They are thoughtful and at times mind-boogling. The best thing is that it is meant for all age-groups, and you can carry it with you for some fresh titbits and great insights. The language and flow of narration is good and pragmatic.
It is definitely a speactacular art to curate or compile 101 different stories such that the reader emotionally connects with each one of them and gets a message out of it. The author has done that well and kudos to the use of rich vocabulary yet simplistic articulation.
However, the book does get a bit too preachy at times and challenges the religious beliefs pinned on non confirmist customs, rituals and self proclaimed godmen, which can make it uncomfortable for ardent believers.
It is like you would be deceived by the cover of this book. Very very few stories are good but almost all stories are over explained which makes finishing this book a task . Out of millions of stories and fables in the world , the choice of stories wasn’t great too.
Very nice and easy read. I found it quite interesting with some really nice stories. Great for night time reading to kids as each story comes with a nice moral...
