The highly-anticipated sequel is here! Aubri’s life took a roundabout turn when she met Carlos aka Lowdown, a hardened thug with a nasty temperament and a penchant for crime. Z’Mya thought that she and Gunna were taking steps in the right direction to ensure a healthy relationship—until he drops a bomb that changes everything. In the past, he had claimed he was nothing like Lowdown, but his actions prove that they are one of a kind. Can Z’Mya look past his flaws for the sake of their happiness?
“Fixated on a Thug 2” is an African American urban romance packed with drama, betrayal, action and surprising twists that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster.
Jade Jones discovered her passion for creative writing in elementary school. Born in 1989, she began writing short stories and poetry as an outlet. Later on, as a teen, she led a troubled life which later resulted in her becoming a ward of the court. Jade fell in love with the art and used storytelling as a means of venting during her tumultuous times.
Aging out of the system two years later, she was thrust into the dismal world of homelessness. Desperate, and with limited income, Jade began dancing full time at the tender age of eighteen. It wasn't until Fall of 2008 when she finally caught her break after being accepted into Cleveland State University. There, Jade lived on campus and majored in Film and Television. Now, six years later, she flourishes from her childhood dream of becoming a bestselling author. Since then she has written the best-selling "Cameron" series.
Quite suitably, she uses her life's experiences to create captivating characters and story lines. Jade currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. With no children, she spends her leisure shopping and traveling. She says that seeing new faces, meeting new people, and experiencing diverse cultures fuels her creativity. The stories are generated in her heart, the craft is practiced in her mind, and she expresses her passion through ink.
I must say that this book definitely had a lot going on... I mean a lot... It was so many stories going on at one time... But not to where I felt overwhelmed... But enough to keep me reading... This book was very repetitive and became frustrating... This ending had me trying to turn the page because I feel like it came to an abrupt stop and so much was left unsaid... Like what happened with Roderick... What about Malani, Z'Mya, Gunna, Paris and Krissy... I just feel like all those storylines were left unfinished... This ending read like a part 2 and not a finale... There was many times that things were pointed out repetitively... Yet there was no follow through to complete why this was being pointed out so much... Not sure if there is going to be a spin off to complete all the storylines or not... But I guess we will see... I felt bad for Aubri and all that she kept going through... Then for her half brother to be the way he was and do her like that and think it was okay... Then she had so much back and forth with Lowdown... I mean I saw the potential for her and Lowdown... It was just sad to see all that she had to endure just to be with him... Then her mother was super overbearing and kept treating her like a child and did not even want her daughter communicating with her own father... And Aubri was super naive that it was just crazy... Malani was quiet... But all of a sudden she became about that life... That part just did not fit her... But no matter what she was always a true friend... As for Z'Mya I liked her and Gunna together yes they had to go through the gh a lot of heartache and pain... But in the end we see where the heart was for them... Now to see what us next on the agenda for Jade...
Jade Jones is a phenomenal writer. I loved the creativity and how she tied the characters together. However, I just did not like the ending of the book. I don’t like how Aubrie was not allowed to have her happy ending after all that she had been through. I was extremely disappointed with the ending. I felt like Ms. Jones went to far in the name of drama. Instead of having Lowdown have an epiphany and get his life together, he did the opposite. So I feel like there was no happy ending therefore I feel cheated after reading both books for the last 2 days. If I had known that she was going to end the book like she did, I would not have continued reading this series. Now because of the way she ended this book makes me leery of reading any other books by her.
I surely didn't expect that ending tho. That's so sad that all of the bad deeds that Lowdown did came back to gaunt him n he had a baby on the way. Roddrick never did find out about his daughter messing wit Lowdown. I felt sad for Lowdown when he called Gunna n he told him that he knew about him n Krissy. I really did like Gunna n Z'mya together. They made such a cute couple. Aria was doing too much in my opinion ugh she wouldn't even let her daughter live her life right. Great job mama! This was fire right here! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
So then end means final final?? Like we just gonna end it like that?? Well I'll be... I can't say I'm too sad or mad. He's done a lot of things, that Karma hunny!!! My only wonder is, is it really Carlos baby?? I know Aubri doesn't remember the whole attack.
Omg. This book had so many twist and turns that I never would have suspected. I like how Aubri went for what she wanted and not let anybody deter her. She went through alot but she never gave up. I liked how the book never focused on just one character, but how they were all connected in one way or the other. I highly recommend this book.
I can’t believe it ended like this!! I really wanted to see how things ended up for each of the couples and I really wanted to see Aubri and Lowdown together as parents. I feel bad for Aubri because she has been through so much and she deserves to be happy. I guess the saying Karma is a bitch turned out to be very true in this case!!
Wow this book was good just when he decides to change look what happens karma never misses wish i knew what will happen with aubri. I will recommend this book to others
This entire series was trash. Compared to Jade Jones other books. I agree with her, she needs to take a omg break from writing and come back with some fresh new ideas. Very disappointed, no recommendation to help promote this awful writing.
What I liked most about this book is how Rodrick was hell bent on finding his son? What I liked least about the book was how it ended! I wanted to see how all the couples turned out. But overall I would recommend the series!
I loved this book but does anyone else feel like almost everyone was lowdown to a point ???? How could Roderick killed the woman who was his “world” and even though Lowdown got what was coming to him , why kill him after you find out he’s with your daughter
Boy karma keeps coming around on lowdownbut will me survive this time. Aubri is a good girl who can’t help that she loves lowdown but he gotta do better
