Ahh never thought I'll read Disney style urdu novella. Yes, so finally someone steps up to introduce fairy tales in urdu. The story is well-knitted and enriched in decent dialogues.

I didn't expect so much from this novella, but but but READING IT WAS THE BEST DECISION !! I haven't read a pure fantasy story in Urdu, it's hard to write but writer did it. Sumaira's fantastic writing style ensures that no one could ever be bored while reading her work. Nah, not at all.

The name itself sounds pretty, isn't it? It was a musical instrument that attracted fireflies.
I love this name as I really like those tiny nature torches.✨

A very unique story...
The more I read Sumaira hameed Novels the more I fell in love with her writing style...

Borshay by sumaira hameed.
Talking about Sumaira hameed, undoubtedly she writes the best. Borshay is her short novel published in Shua digest in 2016.
It's about a girl, Marya, who plays a unique instrument gifted to her by her father. She named it "borshay"
Marya loves fireflies and they gather near her whenever she plays her Borshay. One day, she gathered so much fireflies that people of her village though she's a magician or something, so Borshay was banned for her by her family.
The other character is of Oscar, who's a young boy from Ireland who left his home and goes to stay in his grandfather's village where he met Maria.
It's a cute story of Maria and Oscar. Sometimes it sounds more like a fairytale. Maria's anger issues offended me many times 😂 Har baat pr hi usko ghussa aa jata tha.
Baki I enjoyed the story. Can be completed in one sitting. It was quite different from others especially the borshay thing.

Borshy(اردو:بورشے)by Sumaira Hameed is story of a girl who plays a musical instrument named "Borshy" to attracts fireflies 😍 just imagine...💫. One day a boy from Ireland 🇮🇪 comes in village and tangled in her way and story turns...🦋. Look I picked the name Fire fly after reading this story,also firefly is my fav.insect for some personal reasons😌. It is a Disney dreamy story I read first time in urdu fiction well done dear writer.Well I want to tell Sumaira Hameed is my favourite author.💙🖤
I wish some Disney production finds this story and make a Disney film..wow just a dream comes true feeling.

Sumaira Hameed has this stunning writing style that puts a spell on you. Simply Mesmerizing!
It's not easy writing fantasy in Urdu and she writes such great literary fiction... my all time favorite author. Love her writing<3

It was great, I read it 5-6 years ago so don't exactly remember a lot of things but I remember that it was great mostly because it was different, It's not like a typical Urdu novel
