Samantha Chase is a New York Times and USA Today bestseller of contemporary romance that’s hotter than sweet, sweeter than hot. She released her debut novel in 2011 and currently has more than seventy titles under her belt – including THE CHRISTMAS COTTAGE which was a Hallmark Christmas movie in 2017! She’s a Disney enthusiast who still happily listens to 80’s rock. When she’s not working on a new story, she spends her time reading romances, playing way too many games of Solitaire on Facebook, wearing a tiara while playing with her sassy pug Maylene…oh, and spending time with her husband of 30 years and their two sons in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
I was ready to DNF this book at the halfway point, but I skimmed to the end because I didn’t want to miss anything important in regards to the secondary story-line that has been playing out through the series in relation to the reasonings behind Graham and Claire Blackthorne’s separation, or hopefully her return before the end of it, but it was barely mentioned and nothing new was added to what we already know.
"Are you this snarky with everyone, or is it just me…"
I knew I wasn’t onto a winner with Logan early on, because I quickly disliked both him and Piper, they argued like teenage siblings rather than adults a large amount of the time, and for me, there was absolutely no chemistry between them. It didn’t help that I found Piper to be extremely judgemental and downright rude at points, yet when called out on it she acted like the was the one who had been wronged, and Logan just lacked a certain something when it comes to what I expect in regards to a H, I think it was exacerbated by the fact I just couldn’t find anything likeable about him.
I have everything crossed that Trey ends this series in the way it started - on a high, because in terms of quality two of the last three titles have been extremely poor. I am in the minority with my opinions on this one though, so as always I would urge you to judge for yourself.

Logan by Samantha Chase is part of the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series and is book #6 in the series however is a complete standalone.
Logan has returned to Maine to help at one of the family businesses. Having being pressured by his father, Logan needs to soon make a choice as to which area of the company he's interested in running, or he'll have one picked for him.
Piper the caretakers daughter is back in town also. Visiting her father also trying to d is back in her hometown to spend time with her father while she decides what exactly she wants to do with her life.
Logan and Piper have an immediate intense connection and their chemistry is HOT! When they embark on a casual relationship, what's to be expected? Neither expect to fall for the other, and what about their futures in their businesses? Can love conquer all?
I was hooked from the start, while I haven't read the other stories in the series, I had no trouble following along. Mrs Chase has a way of captivating her readers attention with her words and her characters are so lovable. I loved this story!
Being the youngest isn't easy. Logan Blackthorne knows this and figures out from a young age that he has to be better then everyone else. Not that anyone else notices it. Piper Stewart has been watching Logan all her life. Not in a stalker way since she is the daughter of the grounds keeper at his family's estate. Logan knew of her and they were friendly to each other but they didn't really know each other. Until she comes back from college, working the family restaurant at the same time as Logan does he notice her. From their first interaction, I was hooked. The banter between them is so cute laced with so many vibes of sexual tension that you know where it will eventually go. The journey there though is where it's interesting. They are truly friends. They challenge each other with not only gaming, Piper's chosen field, but in what they will do with their respective careers. Logan is given an ultimatum from his father to pick a division of the family business to settle into. Piper is looking to be on the ground level of her friends new business. I really loved Logan. Maybe being the youngest in my family helped to understand what his postion was, maybe because I know what it's like to be underestimated. He is an overachiever by his own design. He has to make his decision based on his desire to please his father. I was rooting for Logan to make the decision for himself.
Logan is being pressured by his father to decide which area of the family business that he wants to become part of permanently, but he believes if he told his father what he truly wanted he would only laugh and say he was unqualified. In the meantime, he chooses to go wherever he is needed which is how he ends up managing The Vault, one of their pubs, while the manager is on vacation.
Piper is back in her hometown to spend time with her father while she decides where she considers her options regarding not only the game she created, but her career in gaming as well. She has decided to work as a waitress at The Vault until she knows which direction she is heading.
Logan and Piper have an immediate connection and chemistry and they embark on a casual relationship. When their feelings become more than casual will they be able to overcome both the very different directions their futures are heading as well as their difficulty in communicating with each other about what is truly important before it is too late?
Logan has returned home to Maine to help out for a few weeks at the Vault, when he runs into Piper. Piper is the caretakers daughter and all grown up. Logan is known as a player, Piper is only home for a short time until her business of gaming is off the ground, so what's wrong with a little fling. Which is fine until their hearts get involved.
Loved this book!! Logan finally finds out what he really wants in life with a little help from Piper. Great characters with plenty of banter, romance and emotions that will keep you turning the pages. Loved Nana, always has words of wisdom to hand out.
This is the sixth book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. But now I want to go back and read the other stories. I highly recommend. I could not put down until done.
Logan (7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes Book 6) by Samantha Chase
Chase took inspiration from my favorite classic movie and gave it a modern twist that's all her own. Logan holds a special place in my heart. Piper is the girl next door with big dreams that she has longed to have come true. Logan is the guy who seems to have the perfect life, but can' t manage to allow himself to be happy. If a dream is a wish your heart makes, be careful what you wish for because it just might come true. From family drama to romantic heartache, no one does second chances like Samantha Chase.
Logan and Piper seem like an unlikely pair but when put together they are explosive (just like some video games out there). I love that Piper isn’t afraid to stand her ground and not be intimidated by a male industry or Logan. I guess I will have to read more of the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes to learn more about Graham but he is an interesting character to me. Also I really want to hang out at the Vault.
Meet the Blackthorne men, each one as hot, fast, and smooth as the whisky that built the family fortune, and the yachts and race cars that bear their name. ••••••••••
REVIEW: LOGAN by Samantha Chase is the sixth instalment in the multi-authored 7 BRIDES FOR 7 BLACKTHORNES romance series focusing on the Blackthorne family. This is youngest brother Logan Blackthorne, and video game designer Piper Stewart’s story line. LOGAN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Logan and Piper) LOGAN follows the building relationship between Logan Blackthorne, and video game designer Piper Stewart. Piper is a recent graduate and has been offered a full-time position with her friends on the West Coast, a position that will see her gaming ideas come to fruition but Piper struggles with leaving behind her father, and the possibility that her friends’ business is less than ideal. Working the summer at the Blackthorne family owned restaurant The Vault, Piper will come face to face with the boy-now-man that she has lusted after most of her childhood and adult life. Enter Logan Blackthorne, the youngest Blackthorne, and the man with whom Piper will fall in love. What ensues is the building friendship, relationship and romance between Logan and Pipes, and the potential fall-out as misunderstanding, miscommunication, and Logan’s time in Maine comes to an end.
Logan Blackthorne is ambivalent about his future within the Blackthorne organization. With the ability to do everything but choosing nothing in particular Logan hopes one day to sit at the helm of the family business but Logan’s reputation as a womanizer, and his indecisiveness as it pertains to the family business has earned our hero a less than stellar track record amongst family and friends . Piper Stewart’s new game design has yet to take off but working at The Vault gives Piper time to rethink her future, including the possibility of working alone, or with someone else. Rekindling her friendship with Logan Blackthorne gives Piper pause for thought, and the possibility of falling in love never entered into the equation. The $ex scenes are all implied.
LOGAN is a story of family, friendships, revelations and love. The premise is flirty and engaging; the romance is sweet and passionate; the characters are sassy, colorful and energetic but their issues of trust set up the relationship to fail. LOGAN is a fast paced, character driven and inviting instalment in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes romance anthology.
Logan is the youngest of the Blackthorne brothers and cousins. He has traveled to each division of the Blackthorne companies to work, and hasn’t decided where he wants to work in the Blackthorne conglomerate. His father is very assertive and expects his children to do exactly what he says without any feedback, and he wants Logan to make a decision. Logan has taken over for the manager at the Vault in Maine while Charles, the manage, goes on vacation. Logan has a reputation for dating many women, but none steady.
Piper is a gamer that has just graduated with her graduate degree in gaming and trying to figure out what to do for a job. Her two best friends want her to go in with them and open their own business in Seattle. Especially since she has an extremely lucrative game she developed. I don’t blame her for being cautious as the guys don’t have much business sense or experience. She is working at the Vault while she is visiting her dad and trying to figure out what she wants to do.
I loved that Logan didn’t recognize her and had been flirting with her all night on his first night at the Vault. Her father was their grounds keeper and she had grown up with all the boys. She had a crush on Logan when she was younger. She is wary of Logan when he wants to spend time with her. I don’t blame her since she knows his reputation. I enjoyed watching the two get to know each other better. I loved Logan’s Nana who was a very wise woman. The two have some issues to figure out. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read the it.
Logan is the youngest in the Blackthorne family. He doesn't really know what he wants to do with his life. His dad tells him to make up his mind what he wants to do in the family business or else his dad will tell him what position in the business he will be in. His father is a very controlling and domineering person. Piper's dream is to design her own games. Her 2 friends want to be in business with her but she is afraid they don't know what they are doing. Other gaming companies have offered her jobs but starting at the bottom when she knows way to much. Plus the game she has made they want the rights to it. She doesn't want to give up the rights to her game. Piper's father has worked for the Blackthorne family for years and now piper is back and runs into Logan. He doesn't recognize her since he hasn't seen her in a few years. Logan is the bad boy with money and is the love them and leave them until Piper comes into his life. But she might be moving away and if he works in the family business then he wont be around either. These 2 want to make it work but not long distance. I enjoyed reading this and getting to know these 2. She kicks butt playing video games and they makes bets playing against each other. She is smart and knows what she wants. Logan is smart as well but not really sure what he wants to do with is life. I received this from Inkslinger for review.
This is the 6th book in the 7 Brides For 7 Blackthornes series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. Be aware this series is meant to be read in order and can be enjoyed by doing so. Keep in mind there may be spoilers, should you read this prior to previous books.
Logan comes back to the fold, in order to give a vacation to an employee. The family owns many ventures and he is being pushed to choose where he might be involved with just one. What if he wants to run them all?
Piper has known Logan for a long time. They grew up together and even had been friends some time back. As they get to know each other again - they learn they have more in common than they first thought. Also, that it is good to have an opposite to attract.
This story just had a steady pace and the heat between the character built. I truly think this is a terrific series, and this story was a great addition to it. The characters seem meant for one another from the start, and as the story grew, I could not wait to see where their arc would take me.

Logan by Samantha Chase is book 6 in the series 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes written by six other amazing authors! Each book is a standalone but has an underlying story that connects to each book...
Logan Blackthorne and Piper Stewart have grown up together, though they never really associated as he is the owner’s son and she is the groundskeepers daughter. Piper has always had a thing for Logan but knew it wouldn’t come to fruition now years later she returns to Kings Harbor to decide where her future in the gaming world lies. Taking a job at the Vault, the Blackthorne Bar while talking with her father about her future she see Logan again but he doesn’t recognize her...next comes the banter, sexual tension, laughter and each must find their true calling in life...will it be together or miles part??
Trey by Christie Ridgway is the final book in the series so hopefully we will find the answers to the underlying story of Graham and Clair Blackthorne...
I love any story that Samantha Chase creates. It is a bold but oh so true statement.
Every story takes me into a new world full of characters that I wish I could meet and have in my life. They are vivid and fun, caring and humorous, occasionally snarky and always realistic with their problems and attempts to solve them or help others.
Logan’s story has all the above and more making it a great read that I didn’t want to put down. There are laugh out loud moments, sweet moments, moments of suspense...I mean ...what is that secret!!! And overall just a great read. Piper is a strong female whose love of family and sense of self worth is very admirable. I loved her relationship with Logan’s grandma and found the connection to the garden lovely.
I have not read the other Blackthorne books, but I will be remedying that shortly! Thanks for the chance to read this book and share my opinions!
Logan I am giving Logan by Samantha Chase 4 stars. This is a standalone but also a part of the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes books, each book written by a different author. I would say this book is a friend to lover romance. Logan Blackthornes is the youngest of the brothers and cousins. He has exactly figured out where in the company he belongs. He heads back to King Harbor, where the family manor is, to run the family bar called the Vault while the manager is on vacation. Piper Stewart grew up being around the Blackthornes as her dad was the grounds keeper of the family manor. She always had a crush on Logan, and is a bit surprised when she runs into him. I really enjoyed the setting of story, and especially liked the characters. Logan is handsome and smart while Piper is beautiful, smart, and a bit sassy. I loved Logan’s nana she definitely adds to the story. The storyline was original, fun, and flirty. This was a great read I would recommend reading!
I rarely read series that involve several different authors because I feel that they often lack cohesiveness in style of writing and story line. When I saw that one segment of this series, Seven Brides for Seven Blackthornes, was written by Samantha Chase, however, I knew that I needed to at least read that segment. I was not disappointed. Master story-teller Chase has developed two wonderful characters, a warm, clever storyline and enough secondary characters to give the story depth. I especially liked that Piper, the heroine, was a video game creator. I also liked the witty banter between the two leads. Will I go back and read the other stories in the series? Honestly, probably not. I have no connection to any of the other authors, and since Logan can be read as a standalone novel, there really isn’t any need to. If Samantha Chase had written them all, however, that would have been a different story Pun intended!
Nothing beats a good old romance. Match that up with author Samantha Chase and the fact that its part of a series and you have a winner. Logan is just that... an absolute winner. I'm a sucker for romance series, family and of course Samantha Chase books ...after all I fell in love with romance after reading her debut novel Jordan's Return, which I can proudly say sits on my paperback shelfie along with a couple of her other book's. Anyway, enough of that..let me just say that this book is everything and more. I devoured this in one sitting, even sneaking in between my work day and finished it in my lunch break. I love everything about this book. I just love Logan and Piper. I love their flirting, their banter and their whole romance. I just cant get enough of these two. Be sure to grab this one you wont be disappointed.
Every year Logan Blackthorne goes back to Maine to help at The Vault - the restaurant/bar next to the family's distillery. Although his father feels bar tending is beneath a Blackthorne he still finds joy in the task. The difference this year is the relationship that takes place with Piper. The two find a connection over video games and late night dinners. Being the baby of the family, Logan is the last one to decide his future in the family's dynasty. Will falling in love with the caretaker's daughter shift his career goals? Or will this be the catalyst to standing up for himself? In true Samantha Chase style this storyline was beautifully written with characters that had so many layers and a plot that the reader had no idea whether or not a HEA was actually in their future. I absolutely love this series!!
Logan and Piper's story gives me hope for all the wallflowers that get their "Dawson Creek" moment with their childish crushes. Seriously, so freaking adorable watching these two get to know each other. I freaking love this series too, we keep getting closer to learning all of the Blackthorne secrets and really just getting to know each of these amazing characters.
All in all, this book is a standalone, but I totally recommend checking out the other books in the serious first because you get more backstory of the other characters and what has been happening in the Blackthorne world, BUT not a necessity. I also totally think you should read this book if you like fast and sweet books that have just the right amount of heat!
I received an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly!
Logan and Piper know each other all their lives, but they didn't see each other for a while. Now she is done with college and back home before making decision about her life. Logan is back to King Harbor to oversee The Vault - their bar, while manager is on vacation. Piper works at The Vault during her stay at home. When those two start spending time together, sparks fly. Both of them knows their relationship has an end date. Would they dream about forever? Mrs. Chase wrote another amazing book. Characters are great, storyline is awesome This book is a part of a series but it can be read as a standalone. After reading Logan I want to read other books in the series.
Piper has been watching Logan from afar all her life. When the connect again as adults she is on Logan's radar. Logan is drawn to her. Logan is not forever type of guy. Logan has issues with where his life and career are going. He is trying to get from under his Dad's control. Piper is total package smart, beautiful and sassy. Logan starts to fall for Piper and is willing to make sacrifices for her. She is game design and he wants to help her succeed. With Piper's help Logan realizes his life and career path. This a was sweet romance. I am looking forward to reading more in this series.
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, and heartbreak.
This is Piper and Logan's story. Logan’s father has decided that he needs to step up and pick a job. Logan thinks he wants to run it all. Piper and Logan new each other when they were younger, but he does not recognize her. After all night of flirting he finds out. He is stunned but they become more than friends. Now he has to decide what he wants to do with his life and if it will include Piper.
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I absolutely loved Piper’s character and am so glad that the author had her be a video game designer. Video game designers for the most part are always men and as a IT specialist trying to break into the IT world, I totally related to Piper.
I also loved Logan. He has a big heart and is helpful to his grandmother and Charles. He isn’t afraid to stand up for what he wants.
I really liked Logan and Piper. I thought that there was a real sweetness to the physical attraction and emotional connection between these two. I liked that they both had their own issues that they were dealing with. The chemistry is sizzling and the banter is clever as this couple's relationship evolves. A very enjoyable read and addition to this series. This is my independent, impartial review.
Logan by Samantha Chase is book 6 in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series. This is Logan Blackthorne and Piper Stewart's story. Logan and Piper's story is sweet and cute. Has a good tempo and the feels are just right. There are some times in the story there seems to be a lag or just a slowdown but overall, a good romance read. Liked the chemistry and connection between Logan and Piper; found the issues that each faced added well and brought them together.
Does everyone have that author that just keeps getting better every time you read her?! For me, that's Samantha Chase! She never fails to drag me into one of her stories! Logan and Piper are everything that I could want! Friends to lovers is and will always be my favorite trope so I love when I get that! As always Ms. Chase delivers a story with warmth, heart and humor! I can't wait to read the rest!
5 FANTASTIC STARS!! I loved Logan and Piper's story!! These two had great banter, hit your emotion buttons and keep you flipping pages. I read this story in one sitting. As always Samantha Chase give us romance readers a fantastic book with her phenomenal storytelling. You definitely should 1-Click this book.
I think it's cute how Logan gets all hopeful, "now he leaned in a little closer– resting his arms on the bar. “Like a date?” Logqn just gets his girl, “go ahead and eat . I get it. We don’t need you getting hangry again.” I liked this book, I liked Logan.
