Originally a Jersey girl, sunny Texas is where I now call home, in a town way up north in the panhandle called Wellington. Along with the man of my dreams, I have two children: a rambunctious little girl and a sweet but vocal little boy. Three cats, three dogs and an inordinate amount of pet hair complete my household. For fun I like to read YA, horror, and existentialist fiction, as well as watch cartoons, movies, and sometimes even cartoon movies. I try not to take anything in life too seriously and I tend to smile often.

Just enough to get you interested.

Tyler is an enhanced, genetically modified male. He is pulling bank heists to fund his lifestyle. He can shift into a look-alike of anyone that he touches.

Someone turns him in to the law. Who has been watching him that closely? Can he run?

What happens when he meets another genetically modified person who has the power to persuade and the power of invisibility?

Spliced interesting being enhanced!

Didn't quite understand what to expect from the story, but that is definitely part of the fun of picking the story from the cover. Interesting premise explained in this story and opens the door to lots of possibilities. Nothing shy about this story.

Excellent start to a series. Interesting, exciting, intriguing, surprising, emotional and so much more. Changing some things about humans and then what happens after that. Especially with the government. I have plans to continue the series as I enjoyed it. I received a review copy from story origin and voluntarily review it.

Genetically engineered superpowers!

This novella is an awesome introduction to a new world where the "enhanced" exist-- a group of people whose powerfully rich parents paid to have genetic improvements performed on them when they were born. And of course, everything went wrong.
Thievery, revenge, betrayal, and shapeshifting make this a fun, quick read!
Can't wait for the series this novella leads up to!

Loved this novella which sets up an interesting world and characters. It takes some really unexpected twists and was an awesomely entertaining read. Can't wait to read the first book in the series. Definitely check it out if you're into urban fantasy.
