As one of the enforcers of the club, Emery “Coast” Cortez is used to others doing as he says, not out of fear, but with respect for him and the position he holds. His mixed-race has never been an issue with the club, but growing up, the outside world wasn’t always as easily accepting of his Mexican/Native American ethnicity. Coast learned at an early age to ignore the slurs, the derogatory statements and the presumptions made from his looks alone. Instead, focusing on the goals he set and single-mindedly reaching each one while others wasted their time trying to deter him. With his mind set on Mackenzie Minton, she doesn’t have a chance—that’s if he can get her to quit dodging him at every turn. The woman was going to be his, whether or not she knew it.Dr. Mackenzie “Mac” Minton not once has regretted the decision to change her field of study from trauma surgeon to obstetrics and gynecology—only what caused her to make the choice. Now in a town she’d visited as a child with her OBGYN practice specializing in high-risk pregnancies, she is content. At least in her professional life. Her personal life—a totally different subject. And Mac’s not sure she’ll ever find contentment there. However, she is certain the larger than life, and an overbearing biker is definitely not the answer to her problem.Well, mostly certain.

Carson Mackenzie enjoys writing romance with a real feel inside the stories. She writes with the belief not every man is a jerk and not every woman needs saving.

Carson lives in the South with her son, a Great Dane and two adopted shelter dogs that keep the household in line. Books have always been a part of her life. There is nothing better to her than curling up and relaxing with a good story and losing herself in someone else’s world for a few hours.

Writing stories and growing as an author with each book is her goal. She wants to reach the level where a reader knows when they see her name on a cover, they can trust in the fact there will be a good story as they flip through the pages.

Carson’s journey into writing has only been for a few years. As she’s finally starting to settle in, she can’t believe she waited so long to start.

This is the 6th book in the series and can be read as a stand-alone. Coast and Mac are great characters with great chemistry. The story has plenty of drama and wonderful characters. I was hooked on this emotional read from beginning to end. A good read.

I Loved Emery (Coast) and Mackenzie’s story. I’m so glad they finally got together! So glad to hear about the other brothers and their families, too.

It’s not a typical, dark 1% MC. It’s all that’s good and very touching how Coast & Mac fostered and adopted two orphans. Loved all of it! Great series.

Love this series about a group of brothers (not blood) who all grew up in the MC life after they where all born within a year of one another (there is a story there) and the bond they have when they all return from life in the military or outside the MC. This is Coasts story

With his native american/mexican heritage Coast as always had to deal with slurs from the people that didn't know him but in the MC he is an enforcer and has the respect that goes with that title He also has his eye on Dr Mackenzie (Mac) MInton she is friends with a lot of his brothers wives so she is often at their functions but she won't give him the time of day. Mac isn't sorry that she took over a OBGYN practice and left trauma surgery behind she is just sorry for the reason that caused it. She knows that Coast is interested but she also knows that she in't the woman for him. Can he convince her that she is in fact the woman for him and the problems that she sees aren't problems at all especially when two young boys are going to need them to step up on their behalf.

If you are looking for the typical gritty MC romance, this book is more about the members and their families of Black Hawk MC rather than the club and their dealings. Coast is an enforcer, but other than going to church and living on club property, the story is more about the people. It is still very enjoyable and I highly recommend it as it is about Coast's sense of family and personal responsibility. Coast is of mixed heritage and would have grown up in the reservation if not for his father. He knows what it's like to deal with prejudice and tries to help two brothers falling victim to the foster system. When he meets Mac, he knows she is It for him and the chase is on. As I have not read previous books in this series, there are a lot of secondary characters named that gets confusing.

I LOVED this tender, heartwarming story. As the members of the Black Hawk MC are finding their own happy ever after, Coast wants the same and he has his eye on the OB/GYN doctor MacKenzie Minten. She tries to ignore him, hoping he will give up but Coast goes after what he wants. With Coast’s Native American background he connects with the two boys who are placed in the system when their mother overdosed. He had been there, it had his father and great grandfather on his side. This is a must read, it is beautifully written and I love all the characters in this MC club. There’s plenty of humor (especially from Ally, the little girl without a filter), passion, brotherhood, compassion and a deep love that develops between Coast, and the two boys. Can’t wait for MORE!

This is book six in the Black Hawk MC series. This is Emery “Coast” Cortez's story, he is the enforcer for the club. Coast is a man that feels he has found his place. Being a mixed race individual, life was not always easy or kind, he has learned to focus, pursue and achieved his own goals. Dr. Mackenzie Minton has captured his attention and is on his radar. Is she a new personal goal? Mackenzie has changed her career focus from trauma surgeon to obstetrics and gynecology. She has her career figured out, now to get her personal life in order. What happens when Coast whirls into her life? Another great story in the series. It was awesome to get to know more about Coast and see him find his HEA. Enjoy!

This is book 6 out of 7. A new author to me and I haven’t read the previous books in this series but I did enjoy this one. This story is about Coast and Mac. Coast is an enforcer for the MC. Coast himself would have grown up on the reservation if not for his father. He has dealt with prejudice his whole life so he tries very hard to make sure his two brothers don’t end up in the foster system. When he meets Mac, he knows. He feels the pulls. Their attraction is instant but it’s more than that. Having not read the previous books I found myself getting very confused with all the secondary characters so I would recommend reading them in their order

Coast and Mac are ideal for each other. Without each other they are just imperfect. Together these two can accomplish anything. I fell in love with Coast from the first page and Mac she had me from about the 3rd chapter! I cannot say enough of good things about this story! It threw me at first but then I realized that it was the way the story was written with skill and devotion. Carson writes a story that imbues you to become invested in her characters. you become so invested that you really know the characters she writes and the investment is so worth it!

Emery "Coast"Cortez has been chasing Mackinzie Minton since he set eyes on her. She has avoided him for far to long and he decides to take things into his hands at Jag and River's wedding. This is a fast paced book that makes you feel like you are right there with the characters. Both the main characters grow exponentially throughout the book and realize they have more to offer each other as well as two little lost boys. I went through all emotions while reading this book. Amazing read with HEA. Can't wait till the next book comes out!

When Coast sees Mac, he knows she is for him. For Mac, an OBGYN, life is busy. Busy delivering other people's babies and trying not to want the same thing. Then Emery, a biker comes along and won't back off. She is trying to hold back, but he makes it hard. This is a good romance about a mixed race biker who has found his place in the world and the beautiful doctor who find their way to their dream of a family.

Coast has had a thing for Mac since they met but they haven't always gotten on well together. Coast is hoping to change that after Jag and River's wedding. Mac has been fighting her attraction to Coast but he just keeps at her until she gives into her feelings for him.

Coast might be a biker, but he has a lot of softness in him. From the way he takes care of his Great grandfather to how he can't help but check up on two foster kids from the Reservation. I think the addition of Tracker and Paxton to the story really makes these characters stand out. Brings tears to the eyes.

I have been dying for Mac and Emery's story for ages it seems and I was not disappointed! Loved these two getting together and the downfall of all the Black Hawk members is almost complete. Mac is an awesome chick, I would love to be besties with her. She fits in perfectly with the other old ladies. Emery was even better than I hoped for, so sweet and at the same time hotter than the sun. Entertaining, laughing out loud one moment and getting hit with the feels the next, Coast was an awesome ride. Can't wait for more!

A great read. A biker has his sights on a doctor. She is not interested but only because she is guarding her heart.

This is a story about accepting your insecurities and letting people in. Didn’t know this was part of a series. Could be read as a stand alone but I don’t recommend that. There are too many character names and wives and at times the relationships were a bit confusing. I’m sure if I read from the beginning it would not have been. Even with all the names I enjoyed the storyline.

This is book six of the Black Hawk MC series. Coast (Emery) decided Mac(kenzie) was his, now he just needed for her to understand. Both had difficult childhoods and brought the difficulties of fostering certain ethnicities and the fact that giving birth didn’t automatically make you parents to the forefront. Good hot read!

I love Mac, she's the kind of woman I'd love to hang out with. Her and Coast were born to be together.

Their story isn't the typical MC romance. It's so much more. I enjoyed getting to see two characters who didn't have the best childhood, find each other and bring their pieces together to build an unforgettable future together.

Well told, strong characters and writing that is descriptive. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

I liked Coast.

Coast is Emery (I think the names got mixed up) and he’s part Native American. He and his pops are in a MC and he’s got a jones for Mac.

Mac is the baby doctor who moved to town recently. Emery yelled at her on their first date and she’s been ghosting him ever since.

Emery finally found his boy parts and is going after Mac.

Coast

I absolutely loved Coast story. I'm so happy he found Mac and she found him. I loved watching these two fall in love. My heart broke for Mac as she told Coast she couldn't have kids and I love how he responded to her. Then I cried when they became a family. I laughed a lot. I can't wait to read Flint's story.

Coast by Carson Mackenzie. A good contemporary MC romance with a nice twist to usual plot; featuring strong damaged characters with plenty of passion to share. Good story-line, plenty of drama, and action with slight suspense tossed in. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
