He thought it would be a fun vacation.
Head down the coast.
Get some sun.
Chase some skirts.
Get to know the guys from the new chapter.
Nothing more serious than that.

Until he met her.
Then, well, things got a hell of a lot more serious.

Title: ➳ ❤- West
Series ➳ The Henchmen MC Series 19#
Author: ➳ Jessica Gadziala
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Publication March 24th 2020
In this installment we learn how the mighty can fall-in love

ღ I can’t believe that I’m finally here on book 19 never the less. It might have taken me hot second to catch up! But the time don’t matter only the story, which is Gus & West story
Reign’s thought on West
He always getting into shit. Always needing to be reminded where the line was, and that he needed to stay on the right side of it. Not a week went by where someone wasn't bitching about something he said or did.

West:

I believe that It was obvious that West was still adjusting to the somewhat more laid-back rules that Reign set forth. But now Reign is sending West to Miami to be the club’s representative. In a strange state with strange men. Women. Booze. Guns. Yeah, so you can safely agree that this would be really interesting...

As everyone knows West has been notorious for his pranks on all the club members & even their wives and girlfriends so I was happy as heck to finally read his book and see how he would fall and how far he would fall into the rabbit hole Called love…

Gus is a force of nature. She is , Beautiful. Confident. Unpredictable. A Lil crazy. Alright, maybe more than a Lil crazy. She was a rebel… to me she had the right kind of mix of bada$$ in her for West……. She like Tasmanian Devil, who tore through your world and left chaos in her wake.

I might have thought few times, that Gus was bit full of herself, but West seem to enjoy her self-confidence!
But since Gus was Huck’s younger sister, West kind of puts halt to Gus’s advances, you know the whole bro code thing… so that made Gus do something she was not use to doing … chase after a guy
I do enjoy seeing the softer side of Gus, since she is a CNA. Does home health care with the elderly people

💖 Hope you enjoy this read 💖

⬇Always remember⬇

📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion+ Also I wouldn’t never discourage anyone from reading this book.

On to the next book, I believe The Negotiator (Professionals Series) is up next in the Navesink Bank Universe

Yay I’m slowly but surely making my through this Navesink Bank Universe

Honestly, West has never been one of my favourite Henchmen dudes; but I will admit that I ended up liking him more once I read his book!! Seeing as he was always the jokester/prankster of the club, it was amusing to see him become a bit more serious when he was up against a woman named, Gus!!!

At first I found Gus to be way too overbearing for my preference in a heroine. As the story progressed though, her softer side emerged and it was nice to see she had some vulnerability inside of her! Even with her soft side though, she was a badass to the core! Her roughness and West’s laidback demeanour really complimented each other!

Aka in all, this was an wonderful addition to the Henchmen series. Even though we saw a bit of Navesink Bank, this instalment was taken place in Florida and it introduces a new up and coming MC!! I can’t wait to see what this new club will bring to the table!!!

The boys are back! Just as tough on the outside, just as soft on the inside and just as loyal to both their club and the women who fit that special mold they require!

Jessica Gadziala’s WEST has all of the jagged edges, all of the attitude and all of heat we have come to expect from the Henchman. The biggest difference I can see is the venue, Miami, as the expansion of the club begins and this series gets an infusion of adrenaline, passion and sass.

Nice to hear that Henchman voice and felt that Henchman vibe is still going strong, thanks to Jessica Gadziala who has proven, once again just how talented and versatile she is!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Jessica Gadziala! This is my honest and voluntary review.

Spoilers ahead

It's been a while since I've visited the Henchmen mc so I decided to visit today with West.

West has been the fun loving prankster of the group, he's not known for being serious so the older heads are shocked that he's the one chosen by Reign to check out the possibility of a new group of guys expanding the Henchmen mc in Miami. West takes his task very seriously and sets off to get shit done. She was the last thing he expected.

Gus has spent her entire life marching to her own beat, while she knows her brother and his guys boost cars for a living hooking up with an mc is a whole new ballgame. Meeting West makes things very interesting, a little fun with the sexy biker is just what she needs.....only he refuses to give in. But Gus is determined and pretty soon what starts out as a short term hookup turns into very long term feelings until blowback from their new way forward causes harm to Gus.

********
The positives
This was a quick and easy read and a fun trip down memory lane as I've read most of the books from this series and almost all from this author
I like that this author's works are generally compact, no unnecessary drama for the sake of drama
Likeable mcs
Interesting secondary characters
A new direction for the Henchmen
Bold, confident and resourceful h
The epilogues

The not so good
This is entirely a ME thing but I dislike the fmc to do the chasing. Gus chased West from the beginning until the very bitter end. I mean she convinced him they could have sex, then when he wanted to back off citing her brother as a reason she convinced him they could keep having sex. Then when she's hurt and he's ordered back home SHE goes to him! Just absolutely NOT my personal preference
Gus and West may be matched in terms of sexual experience as they both got around, they were no strangers to ONS, short term hookups and preferred no commitments.....ok cool but I don't need to hear about it. Again another ME issue but I hate hearing little comments about the mcs past, it's ok to know they 're not virgins and leave it there!
There were some cute moments but the chemistry between the two felt off, maybe because she pursued him and he left so easily after she was hurt AND she was the one who talked about moving to be with him.....but I just didn't feel West's devotion as I usually like. It all just felt.....lackluster

All in all this was West's story as well as an introduction to a new and interesting cast of characters who I'm assuming will all get their stories told. I'll read more from this author but this one just didn't deliver as I hoped.

No cheating
No OW/OM drama
Both mcs experienced
h is attacked by bad guys

I loved ALL of West and Gus!

Gus, aka Augustina, is flippin hilarious, even through Jessica Gadziala's epic epilogue!!

The Henchmen are expanding, and in order to do so safely Reign sends West down to meet with Huck and his men. All of Huck's men are fun, and their own kind of bada$$ dangerous, while his sister Gus might be exactly what West needs.

Gus is her own version of dangerously crazy, but at least she knows what she wants. West is concerned about disrespecting Huck by taking up with his soster, never really noticing that Huck doesn't seem to care much. The problem with dangerously independent, slightly crazy women is that they occasionally forget to pay attention to the danger swirling around them and end up being used as a pawn in the fight for control of the gun running market.

Will she make it out, and if she does is there a way to ensure that her new relationship with West doesn't have an end date?

I'm in love with this spinoff of the original Henchmen by Jessica Gadziala! West is super sexy, and the same fun he's always been since joining the Henchmen. Gus, or Auggy, as West calls her, is fun, in your face sexy, with a hidden heart of gold. Non-stop action, Miami night life, and the fun of Reign losing yet another bet to Lo, I can't WAIT to see which direction Ms. Gadziala is taking us next!!

Where to even start.

Auggie is by fav my favourite heroine from Jessica to date. I feel like she is everything I love in previous heroine's all rolled in to one tiny spitfire.

So West's story actually takes us away from the crazy world of Navesink Bank and all our lovable rouges, the Henchmen and their ladies. Reign aka Daddy bossman unbeknownst to everyone chooses to send West to head to Florida and feel out the possibilities of a new Henchmen chapter with all new guys. As you can imagine that decision went down about as well as a glass of salt water, even after hearing his reasons why. But alas daddy bossman is in charge and they trust him so it goes ahead despite both their concerns and lack of faith in West's ability to take shit seriously.

As far as the story goes we all know Jessica has the ability to give us something great. This is obviously no different in that sense however it is a little lighter on the angst factor and a little more interwoven with the secondary characters that take a more frontline approach. I LOVED THIS. I love that she gave us a multi dimensional story that has depth, substance and more importantly relatability. Of course nothing is ever all smooth sailing in life and West and Auggies story is absolutely no different. I was extremely surprised with the build up to them and how they became a them all together. I also really enjoyed the different dynamics Jessica played here and I loved the hell out of the input from other characters in regards to some situations. This isn't smoke blowing this is just the reality. Jessica has given us a well rounded emotionally driven story with diverse characters on a captivating journey.

As far as characters go I loved West and Auggie.
West left Navesink with something to prove. The gorgeous prankster and forever bachelor wasn't prepared for all that is Auggeie. Gus has always been the wild child, the unattainable hottie. She's always been the one chased so imagine her surprise when she finally mets the guy she's wants enough to chase. These two are legit fire. The chemistry is palpable through the pages and that slow burn tease was positively explosive. Both characters hide behind their loud larger than life personalities but that doesn't mean there isn't a sweet sensitivity to them because there is by the bucket load.

Also!!!! We have new characters to sink our greedy claws into and let me tell you I.am.intrigued. I'm not going into it because it's better to find out for yourselves. But let's just say I can foresee glorious things in the future for Huck and his merry band of car jackers. Jessica did a wonderful job introducing that many new characters into a very much loved world, giving them each a little spotlight to get us all interested. ICAN'TWAITFORMORE!!.

Fun fact
I'm a health care worker just like Gus and I think Jessica did a great job on describing it.

She always kills it in my opinion but this one has a special place in my heart. A climactic build up that will have you on the end of your seat swearing blue murder at the teasing of it all. Banter bickering and all kinds of sweetness. Hilarious shenanigans and all kinds of dysfunctional friend/family relationships. A little suspense with a dash of action just to keep you on your toes. It has everything and then some. I laughed, I cried, I ranted and raved like a looney and I sighed in utter satisfaction because Jessica gives the best kind of epilogues that complete my soul and finish the book in the most perfect ways.

With everything that's going on in this world right now I can't think of a more perfect way to let yourself relax and forget about all the crazy hurt for a few hours.

Oh and before I forget ... yes our glorious Henchmen make a few cameos and of course they steal the show a little. Even if it's in the face of some mighty fists .... mwahahahahahaha.

Also second side note... how crazy is it that we're book years down the line with kiddos all grown and the Henchmen feeling old and wise instead of young and fun?. Wasn't ready for that reality let me tell you.

Ok ima leave this here now because it's 00:40 and I've got a early shift in the morning.

What a ride. West being the prankster that the Henchmen and their women loved to hate. He didn't do anything halfway. Makes sense he wouldn't with his women as well right?!?!

Gus was the life of the party. She had her one tier friend and several two tiers that came and went when they wanted to spice up life a little. Having grown up the way she had with a brother like Huck that practically raised her she was exactly who she was. Sorry not sorry. Who could be more perfect for a man like West.

This book kept me on my toes from the moment Reign sent west on his bike down to Flordia to meet Huck and his boys. I loved meeting and getting to know these new potential Henchmen. And the moment Gus and West met well West was well and truly screwed.

Jessica takes us on a ride in this newest installment of the Henchmen. This book had everything you have grown to love from these men and women. The moment Gus finally meets Reign at the end was absolutely priceless!!!!!

The best part for me is the after. Getting to see what happens next. I am so looking forward to read more about Huck and his boys. They definitely have their work cut out for them.

This book was like a breath of fresh air breathed into a long running series. The story/action moves to Florida introducing us to a new Chapter Reign is looking to start.

Unexpected to everyone, Reign chooses West to be the one that goes down and scopes out guys and location. Poor West had no idea how his life was going to change.. Y'all see the cover of the book?? Well that what his woman puts him through the entirety of the book - and it was entertaining as all get out. She even gives Janie a run for the top crazy spot (minus the bombs of course).

We are introduced to the five men of this new charter and as per the normal after reading a Jessica Gadziala book I cannot wait for their stories.

During these dark and depressing times we are currently living in this was a very enjoyable escape from reality.

Holy hell but I loved this book.

I am a staunch supporter of Jessica. I recommend her, I’ve based some pretty kickass bachelorette gifts off of her books, bought merch, read her backlist of books and considered hitch hiking to Jersey to make her have a cup of coffee with me (kidding on the psycho there but I’m exaggerating to make a point here)...

...that being said it is HARD to tell someone to dive into a series that had lasted 19 books and counting. Then add all the other books in Navesink Bank to boot.

That’s like telling someone who has never watched a single episode to start at the first season of Dragon Ball and work their way through Dragon Ball Z and into Dragon Ball Super (which is still airing) and promise it doesn’t get old.

They give you crazy eyes right? There’s so much.

description

This story was the refresh, new chapter (literally), spark of life and mayhem that The Henchmen needed and proves the beautiful world living in Jessica’s head is anything but stagnant.

description

West has been, shall we say, a mischief maker in the back of our minds for awhile now. Speculation galore has been talked about on Facebook groups and spoiler pages since we met him. I don’t think anyone of us really knew what was under the salty coffee or hot pepper lipstick tricks he pulled on the girls club until now.

We still get plenty of one liners and pranks, it wouldn’t be a book about West without them, but we get to see why Reign felt the need to give West the assignment of vetting our new Florida Henchmen chapter. An assignment I think we could agree with everyone we didn’t see coming.

description

Quick left turn: In driver’s training I was out with another girl and the instructor when a sudden and violent storm rolled in. It ended up being a tornado.

The sky darkened, the rain came down hard enough the wipers couldn’t keep up, the hail pinged off the car loud enough to drown out the radio...but the instructor made me drive through it and told me the unexpected storms were where we learned the most about ourselves behind the wheel.

Gus was the perfect storm to teach West what he needed to know about himself.

Plus, as a fellow old people lover, that told me all I needed to know about her.

description

I’m excited to see where Huck and the new chapter take us, thrilled to have a new setting and story to latch on to, and happy to see where our Navesink Bank future leads.

Also, I watched Crawl directly before downloading this to read so my perspective of Florida (which I have visited plenty and actually do have a firm grasp on reality of) was 100% skewed while reading this. I think it made it better. Watch and read with popcorn and a fuzzy blanket.

This was another good read.

I really liked West and Gus grew on me. I’ll admit I wasn’t sure at first. I thought she might be too much, too overbearing and spoil the book. But the more we got to know her the more her softer side came through.

Most of this book was set in Florida with Huck and the guys which made a nice change.

This book also gave us the brilliant cat name…..

West. Consummate prankster, player, one of the last standing single hotties left in the Navesink Bank clubhouse. Some of the guys wondered why Reign would choose him to vet the guys in Florida to see whether they might make a good fit for a new Henchmen chapter, but once he gets there, he fits right into their lifestyle. The guys in Florida are a bunch of young, fun-loving, mostly single car thieves who run a successful chop shop. Lead by Huck, they are clever and forward-looking, thinking that the move into being Henchmen and taking over the local gun-running business is a smart move, and they welcome West into their group. What West didn't expect was for Huck's sister, the wild and irresistible Augustine, to depart from her usual MO of "use-'em-and-leave-'em" and take a shine to West. A real shine.

As with all of the Navesink Bank extended family, West and Auggie are sharp, independent, hilarious and real. Jessica Gadziala never fails to gift us with stories that leave you squirming on the edge of your seat (for more than one reason), never to be forgotten. Awesome!

It’s a new chapter for the Henchmen led by a HEA for West and Auggie!

Jessica Gadziala introduces a new chapter for the Henchmen in Miami as West is sent South to hang with the guys daddy Reign wants to bring into the fold. And while West, the perennial practical joker and good time guy, is there he finds a girl that gives him a run for his money and ultimately his HEA.

Reign sends West down to Miami to see if the crew of car thieves has what it takes to become arms dealers under the Henchmen umbrella. West being the only truly unattached guy in the Jersey compound is the obvious choice to ride down and party, pick up girls and vet the single guys in Florida. For West this is his chance to prove himself and take a leadership role.

West expects Huck, the easy going chop shop leader, McCoy, Remy, and Che; even Teddy, a wealthy little person who works with the crew does not throw him for a loop. What West does not expect is Gus, Augusta, Huck’s overly confident, sexy as all, up for anything, wild child sister.

Gus leads her own crew on her own terms. For her one guy is as good as another for a good time. When West turns her down, despite the obvious chemistry between them, she is intrigued and for the first time begins her own chase.

This book is definitely all about West‘s and Gus' (or as West calls her Auggie) love story. But it is also the introduction of a whole new crew of Henchmen. It is an awesome mix of a cat and mouse between West and Gus, the establishment of a new crew in Miami and getting to know just enough to be truly intrigued by the new guys along with some suspense and action thrown in as the guys work to set themselves up in the arms business. We get to know a few of West’s sisters too and they are a hoot.

West is a great stand-alone if you want to jump right in with the Miami crowd, but also a phenomenal continuation of the Henchmen dynasty. And as with all of her books, Jessica’s epilogue is epic. Don’t miss out!

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

I love West! He is so much fun! I’ve been waiting for him since he first arrived on the scene. Auggie is perfect for him. Her strong fun personality balances his. I can’t wait to get to know the rest of the new crew! The different personalities are going to make some awesome stories! This was the perfect beginning to a new world

This book was absolutely hilarious... a make you feel good... laugh out loud type of read. 🖤

Gus (Augustina ) & West GAH! These two were AHMAZING! Gus sets her sights on West from the moment she meets him but West is there to do a job for The Henchmen and getting involved with a potentially new brothers sister is not in the cards. A simple "no" and putting distance between himself and Gus is what he thinks will do the trick... but what he wasn't prepared for was well Gus. A fiercely independent, somewhat crazy, loyal and incredibly stubborn chick that you will definitely want as a friend... that's what West is up against and to say that he's finally met his match is a understatement! These two will have you laughing out loud, swooning all over the place and rooting for them as they go on one heck of an adventure to find their happy ending.

We also meet the potential new chapter of The Henchmen in this book && I am SO EXCITED for all of that! The new characters that we meet in this book definitely have me curious and excited for what's to come with this series... all of the newbies + we get to hear from Reign a bit (I missed him & you know you did too ) and all that is Gus and West and you've got yourself another MUST READ from Jessica Gadziala!

When your favorite author writes a book, you leave everything else behind and want to read it as soon as possible. You know that feeling? I always have it when Jessica writes her new book.
I just love her book and writing style ❤❤❤
West's and Gus's story was so unbelievable funny and gripping at the same time, that it was simply not possible to take a break from reading.
I work from home so my luck is that no one has seen how I looked like at work after 3 hours of sleep 😂
This unbelievable emotional and perfect love story is packed with action, drama and humor. It's what we expect from the Henchmen MC series.
It's what is so amazing about this series. Alpha bikers, that are being brought to their knees by badass heroines. Just amazing 😈
West the prankster meets Gus the crazy and fearless queen of the party world. An unbelievable explosive 🔥😉 and competitive couple .
He, with the commitment phobia.
She, that never takes men seriously and doesn't find anyone interesting enough to stay.
As the saying goes two minus makes a plus. Does that mean, that two crazy funny individuals make a normal couple? Definitely not 😂
They are like cat and mouse, the question is who is who 🤔.
Gus is a beautiful and incredible stubborn woman, that knows what and who she wants and love to play crazy games. West is funny, easygoing and non-commitment man, that doesn't take life seriously.
They shouldn't fit together, but the crazy and unpredictable is what attracts them the most.
This story is exactly what I needed to get rid of the craziness that is happening in the world for a few hours.
A beautiful and perfect love story with of course a lot of drama and obstacles that comes with the bikers world and their territory.
OK that's enough, I will not disclose anymore.
You have to discover the rest for yourself, so read this book and enjoy. I definitely enjoyed it very much.
P.S. And the beautiful thing about Jessica's books is, you always have a glimpse of the future of the characters at the end of every book.

The biggest of pranksters has met his match.

West is the chosen one to go to Florida to see if the men Reign has been talking to has what it takes to be part of the new MC they are thinking about opening. They deal in stolen cars not gun running. Have to wait and see what happens.

While there he meets the most beautiful woman and she is a wild child. Too bad she is off limits. Her brother is the one who would be president of the new club and you don't mess with family of said possible new brother. She doesn't make it easy.

Gus, Auggie or Augustina or wild child.... which ever name she was going by only dealt with either one night stands or maybe be with a guy for a few weeks but nothing serious. As soon as she sees West she plans to get her claws into him. She rarely gets turned down but that's what she gets.... over and over. She knows it can't last so what's the harm. He'll be going back home shortly anyway.

This book is mostly about setting up for a new club and what they all have to do to prove they can be apart of the brotherhood and the rest is Auggie chasing West. Pretty good book.

West & Gus were absolute dynamite together! West was always quick to say he wasnt going to fall into the love trap like his fellow Henchmen. That was before he met Gus.
Like the tazmanian devil Gus blew into Wests life & it was instant attraction. West however cant seem to step over that line that separates friends to lovers. But Gus has quite the time convincing West that they would be explosive together.
Before they can even think of the future though, forces come in to tear them apart.

Loved this book & everything in it. New Henchmen, OG Henchmen, new puppies 🖤🖤🖤

I love everything about The Henchman series but this one breathes new life into the universe. Can't wait to see what happens with the new characters!!! This book was FUN, upbeat and just all over awesome! West's book had a different feel (in my opinion) than the others in the series, the style seemed to flow a bit differently (in a good way). It was a fresh and engaging introduction for things to come!

Freaking LOVED this book!! I want to start off by saying Auggie is my hero! Her and Peyton could rule the world! West the prankster needed a women like her and they fit so perfectly! And the added bonus of getting to read about the expansion of the club into Florida. That was cool! I also love how far Hessica Gadziala goes in the future for her epilogue. I’m obsessed!

West

I had trouble with the beginning of this book. Neither character is easy for me to relate to - both reckless and immature, or fun loving and bold, depending on your point of view - so I was irritated by the way they related to each other. He kept saying no and she kept pursuing him anyway which doesn't work for me when the genders are reversed and didn't work well for me this way either.

However, now I'm going to say the opposite and declare that I loved how she followed him back to NJ and gave him shit for ghosting her. The difference being that they were in a relationship by the end of the book but hadn't actually discussed the future, and needed to.

Now my favorite quotes.

Comparison of a snake to the MMC,

“"Sweetheart, if you think that is cute, something is fucking wrong with you. They detach their jaws and swallow things whole."

"I don't see her judging you for eating an entire bag of Flaming Hot Cheetos last night," she said, brow raising.”

Referring to the MFCs from the last two books,

"Christ, Sweeney Todd, make some noise or something," I grumbled as Ferryn appeared out of nowhere, Chris coming up at her six. "You know nothing good is going on when the two of you are together. Is someone being castrated today?”

Chris and Ferryn are so awesome. And this one - I had to read it a couple times to catch everything going on.

"Who is fucking without a condom these days? All these 'roided up STDs around nowadays and you are gonna risk that shit for a two-pump-chump who still believes the clitoris is a myth…”

I love that this author acknowledges that women have periods and that men should know about it and be supportive.

“When he'd picked me up from the safe house to deposit me in his temporary room at the new clubhouse, there was a big box of tampons on the bathroom counter along with a king-sized chocolate bar and a bottle of Midol. Because he knew I was due to start. It was surprisingly refreshing. Not to have to tell a guy who should have understood a woman's monthly cycle that shark week had arrived.”

I don't think I've ever disliked a Gadziala book. Every book has that perfect combination of side story with action and friends/family banter with steamy romance.
This had that combination done to perfection yet again. I loved meeting the new crew in Florida, getting a taste for all that is them, so now I'm dying for their books!
Gus was another amazing heroine, Gadziala has a knack for writing strong heroines in their own unique way. Gus reminds me a bit of Peyton, but the twist for this book is that she's the instigator of romance, which I really enjoyed. Every Heroine seems to fit the Henchmen perfectly and be exactly what they need from what we as readers have gathered for them in previous books.

West is a lovable prankster with a dark side that takes off for Florida to help start the new chapter before returning home. He gets attached to the crew, but mainly the sister, Gus, the wild child with a heart of gold. Their relationship was entertaining and sweet as Gus beats West down to get him for herself. She was an awesome heroine and an animal lover. Hard to hate on a girl who makes friends with an iguana...

Such a great addition, as always I can't wait for more. I'm excited about this new crew, but I'm still on the edge of my seat for Chris's book. I want to see more of her with Lo and Cash and I'm kind of hoping her H turns out to be Wolf and Janies son

The epilogues were great and lifted my overall opinion and also made me laugh out loud. Unfortunately I just took a long time to tolerate the heroine. Here I am touting how I love a capable heroine, confident, self sufficient but now I’ve decided I also don’t like loud, in your face with a touch of obnoxious...it took a while for her to settle...perhaps right to the epilogue. West is your typical MC Henchmen male, sexy, determined, protective and late to realize he was a goner.

I liked some of the new guys in Florida but without the entire world of Navesink Bank what with the Mallicks, independant PI’s, the Italians, Hailstorm and so on it may take a while to get into this new chapter. I’m sure JGis more than capable of spinning another world and MC tale. It’s always fun to pick up one of her books as they don’t disappoint.

This is my first book that has touched on the virus, it was done in a peripheral way, not like a title I saw recently called love in lockdown or something of the sort. It’s too soon IMO. It wasn’t the focus or the plot just recognizing a timeline and what’s happening now.

Pretty soon romance will be taken over by rioting etc and I don’t want that in my make believe worlds. I mean, yeah, MC books have death and destruction and it would make for a great way to hide murder and mayhem but not as the main plot for me. I read to escape not to have current events romanticized. So JG did a good job in having it relevant but not the politics, sadness, etc of real life.

DISCLAIMER TO MY FELLOW GOODREADER
This review is my personal opinion and may contain: spoilers, quotes, rants and swearing.

The Henchmen MC has grand plans to expand out of Navesink Bank. This will allow the reigning president to create even more of a legacy for the younger generations getting ready to age up into the brotherhood. A group of men in Florida may be the first expansion chapter. West is sent down to gather face to face information. He knew he was supposed to stay away from Augustina “Gus”. Sisters of brothers are off limits. But nothing is official and he could not resist her pull.

"’You know, it's the funniest thing...’ ‘What is?’ he asked when I deliberately trailed off. ‘That we don't live in the seventeen-hundreds where women were the property of their male relatives. I can, if you can believe this, make my own decisions! I can even fuck hot biker guys from Jersey,’ I added, getting close to his ear as I did so.”

This book was an absolute thing of beauty. If I could give it more stars I would. The hero, the heroine, the premise was all working for me. It amazes me that 19 books in, and each one is just a little better than the last. And the best part, a whole new branch of Henchmen may be in our future (not just generational). More heroines need to be like this one. Perfection.

Cliffhanger – no (book #19 of series)

I love Jessica Gadziala's series 'The Henchmen' and have read each one several times. I love this one more than I loved Sugar--how'd you get so fly--because Jessica included all of our favorite members from Reign's charter and included Lo from Hailstorm. West, is the member chosen to research the potential new club charter in Miami and finds way more than a few good men. He finds his match in Augustina aka Gus. She's independent, spirited, headstrong and absolutely a match for West even though they refuse to admit their attraction to each other. Heads butt, fists fly and hearts break. The interactions between West and the new potential charter members was intriguing because we're getting a glimpse of the men we 'may' be seeing in future books. West is a book of angst, laughter (mayo and pickle sandwich?) and soul searching by the 2 main characters and also, the romance we've come to expect. There's more introspective depth to West than we've read about the H's in the past. This book gave us an insight into how the character's thought processes worked. I see a very bright future of the Henchmen in the south Florida chapter and can only hope Jessica will write faster with every book. Can't wait to see where Jessica takes us next. Huck or Remington???

5 West & Gus Stars

West is the 19th book in the Henchmen MC Series. I'm like how did we get this far in this series. It feels like yesterday when I picked up the first in the series. West & Gus were absolutely amazing together!

West thinks he's heading down the coast to help the Henchmen set up a new chapter. He hopes to be in and out, then back to his comforts. That is until he meets Gus and realises he doesn't actually want to leave.

Gus has spent her entire life marching to the beat of her own drum. She is fiercely independent and slightly crazy.

West refuses her very tempting ways for as long as he can. She is a brothers sister after all. But he's only human and her independence and slightly crazy ways draw him in.

This was a great story and I really enjoyed West. This would be a great book if you want to jump right in with the Miami crowd!

We are introduced to the five men of this new Miami charter and I can’t wait to see what is next in store next for The Henchmen universe.
