Tipping Points: How to Topple the Left's House of Cards

Rate this book
"Terrific." (BEN SHAPIRO)

"Outstanding." (DANA LOESCH)

The Left is on the attack, and the war for our country is at a crucial tipping point.

Liberals know they're within reach of radically transforming America. They don't like the US Constitution. They're allergic to Americans' “gun culture”. They find our faith and our devotion to family distasteful. And our commitment to liberty positively sends them into a panic.

As soon as the Democrats get power anywhere, they stand ready to throw our God-given rights under the bus of political correctness, transgender insanity, and socialism (the economic system that always promises equality and utopia, but somehow always delivers resentment, poverty, and decay). So how can we tip the momentum back in our favor? How can we fight effectively for freedom, the US Constitution, limited government, faith and family, and the survival of the American Republic?

Liz Wheeler to the rescue! The popular host of One America News Network's Tipping Point with Liz Wheeler is a brilliant and highly effective debater who shows how we can go on the rhetorical attack against the Left - and win - with a multi-technique program for catching the Left in their inconsistencies and under-handed schemes and skewering them for their bold-faced lies.

In Tipping Points: How to Topple the Left's House of Cards, Liz Wheeler identifies the five “Tipping Points” where liberals are poised to win, trains you in her proven debating techniques, and deputizes you to take up arms in the fight for our nation's heart and soul.

It's training you need right now, today. Our country is at a tipping point. And make no mistake - if the Left isn't defeated, they're taking down America.

I found this book to be incredibly poorly written and factually incorrect. Please don’t waste your money on it.

Great book by a knowledgeable conservative commentator. Our country is at a tipping point but Wheeler’s book clears up lies and fake history promoted by the Left, recommends books worth reading (from both the Left and Right), and helps prepare us to better fight for liberty and limited government.

“The heart of the Left’s platform is big government, identity politics, thought control, mind control, speech control, birth control, and a fundamental disdain for individualism and family.” -p. Xii

“Notice that when the Left attaches the word ‘privilege’ to various characteristics- such as ‘white privilege’, ‘male privilege’, ‘Christian privilege’, and so forth- they are reducing the people who share a characteristic such as race or gender or sexual orientation to that characteristic. Isn’t that the essence of stereotyping and racism? They’re also labeling people with those characteristics as oppressors. And you know what the Left likes to do to so-called oppressor? Take them down.” -p. 35

“Historical lie: The Republican party is the party of racism...The first 21 black Americans elected to serve in the United States Congress were all Republicans...The first black Republican was elected to the Senate in 1870. (Guess who didn’t elect a black senator until 1993: That’s right- the Democrats…) The KKK was originally founded as a club for former Confederate soldiers and quickly evolved to serve the interests of the Southern Democratic Party. The purpose of the KKK as a wing of the Democrats was to terrorize freed slaves and harass Republicans who helped free slaves…Then we had the Civil Rights Act in 1964...Eighty percent of Republicans in the House of Representatives voted in favor. Only 61 percent of Democrats did the same. Eight-two percent of Republicans in the Senate voted in favor of the bill, while just 69 percent of Democrats did…
“The GOP didn’t win a majority of Congressional seats in Southern states until 1994. Do the math. That’s THIRTY YEARS after the radical Left claims racist Southern Democrats ‘switched’ and turned Republican. In other words, it didn’t happen. The narrative peddled by the Left is a lie. The reason the South eventually turned Republican has nothing to do with racism- except for the fact that the defining value of the South was no longer racism. The voters in the South began to focus on other political policies, such as lower taxes and gun rights, and the Republican party best protected those values.” -pp. 163-67

“It’s also hilariously ironic that the radical Left condemns Columbus for coming to America to find a better life for his people back home and plundering the Native Americans...you would think using the logic of the Left, the natives would owe Columbus free health care, free housing, and free welfare after he jumped their border and declared residency in their country.” - p. 169

“As you can see, there is no constant moral principle underlying the platform of the radical Left. There is no commitment to liberty or limited government or dignity for all people or equal justice under the law (all of which underlie the conservative platform”. The radical Left simply seeks power and wealth at the expense of the people they swore an oath to serve. Their radical leftist agenda is the total destruction of the family, religious institutions, and the social bulwarks or our nation. Their goal: complete power and control. Their tactics: whittle away at the freedoms of the American people and consolidate power in the hands of the elite few.” -p. 202

“For every liberal position, there is an equal and opposite contradiction:...
“If the Left truly believes that Trump is a dictator (which is completely absurd), why would they want such a dictator to be the only one with firepower?...
“If cops are racist killers, why would we want only cops to have assault rifles?...
“How can the Left accuse Trump of racism but attempt to block a federal judicial nominee because of the color of the man’s skin? (Quattlebaum)...
“How is it okay for Hasta Muerte (coffee shop in CA) to refuse service to cops, but it’s not okay for Masterpiece Cakeshop to decline to build a custom gay wedding cake?...
“How can the Left claim to support a woman’s right to choose what happens to her own body while also proclaiming that women should not have a right to choose to defend themselves with a firearm?...
“How can the Left claim to care about foreign meddling in our elections by the Russians while the Left also completely ignores foreign meddling by illegal immigrants (a.k.a. foreign nationals) casting fraudulent votes in our elections?...
“How can the Senator Bernie Sanders claim it’s immoral for the top 1 percent to hoard that much wealth, while he owns three homes?...
“How can the Left claim that bodily characteristics such as male and female genitalia have no bearing on whether one is a man or woman (that’s up to how you ‘identify’), yet the cure for gender dysphoria is to physically alter your outward body...which we were just told has no bearing on your gender?...
“How can the Democrats claim to care about the middle class while they’re campaigning to raise taxes on the middle class?...”

Democracy in America by de Tocqueville
Second Treatise of Government by John Locke
The Nichomachean Ethics by Aristotle
Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss

So far this book is full of extreme examples and vastly exaggerated generalizations towards “Democrats as a whole."

Add a heap of emotional appeals that seek to divide and outrage while skirting around the educated history or context of many issues.

In regards to some of the environmental issues raised, it seems the author hasn’t spent time evaluating the systemic issues involved.

Can we please put aside divisive rhetoric and admit that we need each other and we need all voices if we are going to solve the pressing challenges of our time?

Amazing read by the incredible Liz Wheeler. I love watching her on OANN and with this book, she NAILS it. She systematically dismantles the left and basically gives you a road map on how to do it.
It's a sad state that our country is in these days. The media boldly lies or edits the truth to fit their warped narrative, and the left politicians want to dismantle our country and way of life to control our lives and make us dependent on the government. Look at Venezuela. Look at Cuba. Look at the former Soviet Union. This is what they want for our country and Liz hits every talking point they use and lays the hammer down. Look, America may not be perfect, but we are far away the freest nation in the world. We have the Founding Fathers and the Constitution to thank for that. I for one, will fight tooth and nail to keep those freedoms.

This was an excellent book. I will definitely be reading it again (or rather, listening to it read by the author on Audible) in the not to distant future. There is also an excellent book list (gotta love a book with a book list, I do at least). So many good points and tips for defending what we believe politely and firmly and with the facts to back up why we believe the things that we do.
I read this after President Donald Trump tweeted about it. I listen to Liz Wheeler on OAN occasionally, but I didn't know she had written a book, so I was happy to learn about it. The book did not disappoint and listening to her read it (the audio book) was even more fun than reading it.
I highly recommend this book. It is an interesting, informative, and timely book.

"Tipping Points: How to Topple the Left's House of Cards" by Liz Wheeler gives us a fair view on what is happening in our country today with lots of clear insight, and proven arguments with what power does when the Dem. party is in office, and how they're trying to take our country down. We need to open our eyes and defend our country from those within it who are trying to destroy it. The author does a great job of giving us information.

Got this one for free at a bookstore to practice my English; the subject matter of does not interest me particularly, and the factual accuracy of the reporting is not within my ability to check. There are far more pressing matters in my region right now anyways (the Ukraine war, inflation, low vaccination rates) but it was relaxing to get my mind off my third world problems (clean water, electricity, etc) and read about some first world problems. America seems like a confusing place to me, one of contradictions and extremes, too partisan and too polarized to maintain unit cohesion, with too much bad blood between groups. My old political science professor would have quoted the decline of social capital and left it at that; maybe people invent problems once their basic needs are met, or maybe there is political leverage in inventing problems and sowing conflict. Whatever the case, it seems the future of first world countries will involve a heavy the issues such books describe.

This book goes into details on what the democratic parties “house of cards” is built on as far as policy and arguments go. I don’t think Wheeler’s suggestions on how to debate these tactics are actually helpful though. She uses common debate techniques discussed by several other authors, but the issue I have seen when debating the far left is these tactics don’t seem to work with that group of people. No matter what you try to tell them, they shut down at any discussion of ideologies that don’t perfectly alone with theirs. I was hoping this book would go more into combating that, but it did not.

I remember my cousin re-posting a lot of Liz Wheeler's videos last year, and I was originally a skeptic yet hooked by Wheeler's fiery delivery. When I finally opened her book, I learned that Wheeler's passion is paralleled with keen intelligence and extensive research. Her book and reporting have helped deconstruct the radical ideology I had internalized (from my liberal arts education) and allowed me to build a new political/ideological foundation based on ethics and objectivity. Millennials and Gen Z need this book!

Excellent, excellent book! Incredibly informative about the tactics and lies used by the radical Left and how those lies are transforming America far away from our Constitution. Very well documented and footnoted as well. Cannot recommend highly enough! Will even be using some of it in my homeschooling.

A must read for conservatives

Liz lays out a strategy to help us fight the radical left and their March to socialize our nation. This book helps empower us to continue to fight for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness not by twisted lies and name calling but by truth and facts that are undeniable,

A must read!

Liz hits the nail on the head. She is phenomenal at debunking simple yet the most common arguments the Left parrots. After reading this book I can clearly see the skeletal framework the Left uses. Thank you Liz! A must read!

A Playbook for Political Truth

You could literally debate any Left-leaning Democrat and win. Very practical and very important. This is not just a must-read, it is a must-do.
