Entrust the Rest of My Life to You
I used to think that I couldn’t find it for my entire life – the world is very big, and I walked it slowly, what if I couldn’t meet my loved one?
Since I heard “more than 3 billion men in the world, 700 million men in China, there were plenty of fish in the sea”. It became more and more clear that in normal life, the opposite s*x that we could get familiar with and to developed deep feelings with, was too limited. Too limited until I was prepared to accept people’s matchmaking to find a suitable man, simmer slowly and then ordinarily entered marriage life. But in the unexpected corner of life, perhaps we still could find our better half.
In March 2009, I watched my father being pushed out of the operating room, and I had no idea that the doctor followed behind the bed would be my lifelong’s partner.
I think, in this relationship, I could never surpass Gu Wei. I just followed my heart and followed him all the way, but Gu Wei always had to consider the future for both of us. He always jokingly said, “Lin Zhixiao, I don’t dare make mistakes now.”
This man, who was occasionally deep and childish most of the time, occupied almost my entire point of view about love.
He said: “I will always stay by your side, no matter in good or bad.”
I told him: “Even if life rewinds many times, in spring 2009, I will still fall in love with you at first sight.”

After a very big book slump, I thought of trying a less complex book and after quite the time I managed to find a cute Chinese web-novel. I have to first admit it was the fact that there is going to be a new drama featuring Yang Zi and Xiao Zhan, two of my favorite rising Chinese stars.
The first thing that actually grabbed my attention in the book was it was not all fluff and romance. The presence of a dose of reality managed to keep the book from straying into the usual catastrophe of unrealistic romantic web-novels. The characters themselves were not of different caliber but manages to keep the story afloat. Despite it not being an amazing read for me, I have to admit it indeed did manage to give me some flutters in my heart.
Although I do mention that the book is finished, unfortunately I could only finish up till the first volume as the translations finish there. Hopefully I'll manage to find the translations of the full book before the drama airs as the trailer itself looked very appealing. Once again, it's Yang Zi and she sure has proved herself to be a romance queen from her past works.

I do not have a change of heart about the previous rating or review. I honestly wish there was a better translation though (no hate to anyone). Now patiently waiting till August for the drama to air. Yang Zi and Xiao Zhan!!

Sejak pertama bertemu Lin Zhixiao sudah merasa tertarik pada dr. Gu. Hatinya yang biasanya tenang mulai berombak karena perasaannya kepada dr. Gu. Tetapi sering kali pertemuanya dengan dr. Gu diwarnai dengan kejadian-kajadian yang cukup membuatnya malu. Di sokong oleh sobatnya, San San, Xiao Xiao (nama panggilan Lin Zhixiao) mulai memancing informasi tentang dr. Gu. Setiap jawaban dari pertanyaan yang dilontarkannya kepada dr. Gu malah semakin membuat Xiao Xiao bingung. Dr. Gu ini sebenarnya suka padanya atau tidak, sih?

I have a huge expectation for this novel for the angst and sad story after watching the drama trailer. Yet, I ended up disappointed due to typical light romance drama. The story just flat but not bad either. There are still fluff and adorable moment between Dr Gu and Xiao Xiao. Just typical. I do still hope, the drama version can do better since it has not been aired yet (while I write this review)

Here after watching "The oath of love" drama.Dr Gu is more matured whereas Lin Zhixiao is too childish obviously their age gap is the main factor here.But this gap didn’t have any effect on their relationship. The storyline is quite simple but cute <3
