Romance readers will love these two stories of Christmas nostalgia, packaged together beautifully at an exceptional price. Accomplished authors Tracey V. Bateman and Jill Stengl weave tales of the historic Great Plains that will make readers long to experience their own Christmas sleigh ride along with characters Abigail and Estelle. Abigail is anticipating a ride home to celebrate Christmas with family--but when sickness strikes and disrupts her plans, who will she spend her Christmas with? Meanwhile, Estelle, a spinster, blocks love from her heart--until a special ride through a stormy, icy Christmas Eve begins a warming in her soul.
Tracey Bateman is also published as Tracey Cross, is the Christy award-winning author of more than thirty titles and has nearly a million books in print. She lives in Missouri's Ozarks with her husband and four children.
2-in-1 book. Read about Estelle who goes to live with her brother and work for the pastor. Will she allow her heart to thaw and learn to love? Then Kathleen is asked to be a teaching at a nearby county school. Will she be able to control the kids? Will homesickness send her home? Will she let Josh into her heart?
A Christmas Sleigh ride is actually 2 stories in one book. Colder Than Ice by Jill Stengel - 4 stars A wonderful story of God's love breaking through the hurts of the past to bring healing for today, both in one's own heart and in one's relationship. Great book!
Take Me Home by Tracey Bateman - 4 stars Setting is late 1800's. A sweet story with endearing characters. First time school teacher encounters various interesting people in this back woods town, but her loving, accepting nature helps her "make friends & influence people" towards redemption. Redemption of their soul, their body, and their relationships within the town.
I really enjoyed both of these stories. They flow together well despite being by two different authors. Simple Christian love stories. Perfect for Christmas.
