This is another creative collaboration put together by former L.A. detective turned writer, Paul Bishop. I’m a fan of Bishop’s mystery and crime novels as well as his past collaborations with other writers, on books like the FIGHT CARD novel series (which helped launch the careers of a number of fiction authors), PULSE FICTION (an anthology of “new pulp” yarns) and 52 WEEKS * 52 WESTERN MOVIES (a lushly-illustrated guide to Western films). For PATTERN OF BEHAVIOR, Bishop turned a spec TV series script he wrote into a short story featuring characters from his popular Fey Croaker police procedural novel series. Then he recruited nine of his writer friends to contribute crime-related short stories. All of these “Ten Tales of Murder & Mayhem,” as the anthology’s subtitle aptly calls them, are quick, fast-moving reads. Like any anthology, you’ll probably enjoy some stories better than others. I particularly enjoyed Paul Bishop’s detective story, Eric Beetner’s noir tale of a boxer squeezed between two mobsters, the PI story by veteran master of many genres, Robert Randisi, and the casino crime yarn with a satisfying final twist penned by Ben Boulden.

A good good Read !
This Anthology was one of the best I've ever read.
Usually in my experience with anthologies
you have one good short story maybe
then some ok stories and then afterwords suffer to finish the others not so in this one
each had its own signature style
that alone makes it worthwhile
Thanks to this Antholgy I have new Authors to seek out
Happy Reading !
