Lost. Stolen. Forgotten… until the Alphabits step in. A Team A.L.P.H.A. spinoff series. Leaf Erikson didn’t mean to get caught up in STAHP’s craziness. If his brother River hadn’t joined them, Leaf never would have been caught in a flood and rescued by the Alphabits. He never would have scented his mate’s scent on the helicopter pilot. Never would have known his true mate was out there. But he does know. And now he will do anything to find him, no matter what it takes. Cyrus Novak has his hands full fostering a teenage former thief going through puberty. The only thing that makes him feel less alone is knowing that half his team are dealing with the same issues. He loves having someone to care for again. Ever since he and his family stopped talking, he’s had to get used to being alone. But his team has helped fill that void until now. Mostly. Just when Cy thinks he’s got things figured out, a sweet, intense little cat turns his world upside down—and unintentionally brings answers to both the Alphabits’ current case and Cyrus’ estrangement with his family. The Alphabits aren’t vigilantes. These former soldiers and officers of the law have to do things by the book—even when it tears them apart to do so. But once all their ducks are in a row, the bad guys had better beware! You do not want this team of protective alphas on your tail. This is the sixth in the Alphabits series, and should be read in order for maximum enjoyment. You can expect to find naughty, knotty scenes of steamy passion, along with a lot of potty-mouth language and some violence. This book contains a couple with a unique size difference, the cutest little fluffball of a cat you’ve ever seen, and a lactose intolerant bear who finally learns the magic that is Bean-o. HEA definitely included, intended for 18+ readers only. Seriously, would you expect anything less from Susi Hawke and Crista Crown?
I'm a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I'm excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What's not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I'm not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I'm definitely reading about them!
I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I'm pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don't find any kind of love to be weird. I'm a cis woman who's been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.
As a new author, it's been amazing to find the amount of support that I've been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I'm never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn't a fellow bibliophile.
I will try to update here when I'm doing promotional parties & chats. I usually do those on Facebook. If you haven't already signed up for my newsletter, you should totally do it! I only send out NL's to announce new releases or important announcements. I also like to note in my NL what I'm currently reading along with a cover shot and the link for anyone who is interested.
This was my fave so far. I have been waiting and anticipating Cy's story. I feel like we got a lengthier backstory, and really enjoyed his secret... No spoilers! However, I noticed more typos in this one. I still rated it higher than the others because I felt it just had more meat to the overall story, and I just enjoyed it more!
Silenced is the sixth book in Susi Hawke and Crista Crown’s Alphabits series. Complete with John Solo’s spectacular performance this might be the best one yet!
It’s been so much fun watching these sweet Alphas find their mates, and each of their stories have been adorable, but Cyrus and Leaf’s “meet cute” is truly creative. (Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could scent our mate and follow the trail the way Leaf does here? And then be guaranteed a happily-ever-after… *sigh*.) Just one more reason I love this series.
John Solo’s performance grows more awe inspiring with every episode as the cast list grows and grows. Mr. Solo manages to find a unique voice for each and every one of them. His sexy-growly Alpha voices, his sweet and innocent beta voices, and all this kids! He does an amazing job with the audiobooks in the Alphabits series.
an audiobook copy of Silenced, Alphabits #6 was provided to me for the purpose of my review
Holy Russia Batman I wasn't expecting that kind of family reunion to happen! This was the most anticipated book in the series and it did not disappoint! I loved the laughter and the new bonding taking place... So many possibilities!
Character breakdown;
Leaf: I loved this omega he was funny, charismatic, and corky as hell. I loved his passion and determination to have everyone settling in and getting along. And his interactions with Nate? Awesome!
Cyrus: first I didn't expect to find out where his roots lied. I did not expect any of that at all! But I did love how he reacted to his teen son. I also loved to see his temper side that was weird but charming! I also loved how he became confuffled by Nate's shenanigans.
Nate: I loved this kid sooooooo much! He was funny and the typical kind of teen, I loved his joking manner.
Favorite Quote: “I wouldn’t underestimate how far I could and would go to protect you, pretty kitty. Remember, I chose a lawful life. I wasn’t brought up in it.”
I am saddened to have read about Pierre. I want to know what is River hiding. I want to know if Joey will get mated, I have a theory on that one. I want to know what's with Visil?
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I loved getting Leaf’s side of STAPH blowing up the dam and flooding the sham of a summer camp which was actually a conversion camp run by a religious sect who were trying to seperate the shifter kids from their animals, Leaf smelt Cyrus’s scent on the jacket he loaned Pierce so Leaf was all over Pierce sniffing him while high off catnip and digging his claws in when Pierce was trying to fly the helicopter while a demon cat was in his lap and the helicopter was full of high as a kite on catnip jungle cats. I loved the connection between Cyrus and Leaf. I found it hilarious when Cyrus was lecturing his adoptive son Nate about him getting suspended after him and Jodie were caught kissing in the janitors closet while they were meant to be in class and then Nate notices some random naked guy sitting in their car and then when Cyrus caught Leaf’s scent he lost his mind and Leaf started climbing him like a tree. Nate was so appalled by Cyrus’s behaviour. I loved the instant connection between Leaf and Axel and that Leaf basically tells Axel that they’re destined to be besties and that Leaf is keeping him and licks the back of Axel’s hand saying that there a no take backs since he’s licked him and that he’s keeping him and makes Axel lick that back of his hand. Man, the reunion between Cyrus and his dad Don Francis and his brothers and their blessings on welcome to the family for Leaf and then after the birth of Skylar were awesome and you could just feel the emotion behind them. I loved the friendship between Cyrus and Finn and I loved how much of a papa bear Cyrus is first with Nate on the Jodie situation and he doesn’t think he can make it through the teenage years and then their other kids. I’m hoping the mini-alphabets will eventually get their own stories as they all deserve happy ever afters because of how they grew up. I’m also looking forward to reading Finn’s book next and then the Family Novak series so we get to know River some more and Cy’s family the Novak’s. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and both authors to everyone.
Definitely think you don't always get what you want but you do get what you need & other blessing too! Family what you make!

Okay, Cyrus has been one of my favorite characters from the start of this series and now that I’ve finally gotten to his book? I love him even more! I loved his (sort of) oblivious nature mixed with his tenacious attitude. And Leaf? Oh my god, he was so freaking adorable...and so. Freaking. Hyper!! It was just such a cute combo. Also? The height difference...just...wow. One of the other things I really loved about this book was the willingness for Cyrus and Leaf to adopt three (3) teenage boy shifters. All while having a baby on the way!
This book is definitely a favorite in this series. I just loved all the found family feels and the fact that we finally got a lot of Cyrus’s background. This one is getting a solid five stars! This was just so lovely to read.
Found Family Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2021 Finally Cyrus's story and I found it laugh out loud funny! Jake, Cyrus's foster son was a hilarious secondary character. Cyrus got the mate he deserved though some of the things Leaf did nearly caused Cyrus to have a stroke or at least rage shift into his huge Bear.
The reader finally gets to meet Cyrus's family and our the rest of the Novaks are something else. I can't wait to begin reading their spin-off series, Family Novak. The reader is also given an up close and personal view of STAPH. The teenagers have the chance to show who they are. Cyrus's mate is adorable and determined to be an uniter. I will certainly be reading this book again.
This book cemented Cyrus as my favorite member of the Alphabits! He is such a big softie but still such a sexy Alpha. Somehow I was able to get past the whole gas thing. I have Leaf to thank for that though. I love it when one character is huge and the other is tiny, especially when the tiny one is sweet but feisty. The family dynamic was very interesting too. Silenced just had everything good going for it.
This was the best of the Alphabits series so far. I enjoyed all the characters. I liked the way Leaf found Cyrus, the storyline of Chucky and Morgan and Cyrus's reconciliation with his family. There were some typos and one instance during a sex scene where Nate's name was used instead of Leaf and that was like a wtf moment. This would be a 5 star read with more character descriptions and no typos.
This is definitely one of my favourite Susi Hawke book. Cy’s character has intrigued me the most from the beginning and I always had a inkling that he was hiding something but the fact his family was basically the mafia was the crazy twist I didn’t know I wanted in my life. Cy & Leaf are perfect for each other. The size difference is perfect. This book has everything I love, found family trope, crazy teammates and even crazier family ties. Enjoyed it a lot 🩷
It's Cyrus's turn to find his true mate. Leaf first appeared briefly in book one, and has been searching for his true mate, Cyrus. This story revolves around family members reuniting. The storyline is very predictable, so I was not as on edge to see what's next as with the previous stories. It is still a good story and carries the series forward.
I'm pretty sure Cy has been my favorite character since the beginning. This book confirmed my theory. He is.more than just a giant teddy bear, I loved his secrets. Leaf is perfect for him. And I loved the instant family.
Leaf and Cyrus were SO FUNNY TOGETHER! I did find it bizarre that multiple major conflicts were set up and none of them were really resolved? It felt more like everyone wanted to just ignore that there was conflict and that's not satisfying as a reader.

I’m actually surprised at how much I liked this book. I feel like the other books in the series gave Cyrus a bad rep. Leaf was so cute and I loved him instantly. I’m just salty about how Cyrus was portrayed in previous books vs this book. Wished they lined up a little better.
Adored this romance, because a big softie is perfectly paired with a chatterbox love monkey. They honestly make the cutest couple, and the backstory for both characters was compelling.
I loved that Cyrus found his fated mate in Leif. I am really hoping that we hear more of the Russian Mafia and that they join forces with Alphabits in their own series.
I really enjoyed Cyrus book..I adored Leaf.. I just hate that every couple has a daughter biologically.. but I’m still enjoying the series after the next book
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the at he kids' series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or 'Liberty' from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey’s books) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times a year (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time- reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok). It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
*WARNING* contains explicit m/m sexual content Cyrus is a big bear shifter. Cyrus is an police detective who decided he wanted to be a part of the Alphabits team. The Alphabits had voted NOT to accept Cyrus, but he miss understood the message and showed up for work, the confused team members decided to give him a trial run. The Alphabits now have an indispensable member in Cyrus. Leaf was just trying to talk his brother out of going with thiser awful STAHP men when they blew up that bridge. Leaf got stuck on a roof, lost site of his brother, roofied with catnip, but in his catnip high he caught scent if his mate and then passed. Leaf knows his mate is real and he will find him. I think these books are best read in order. These stories usually have some sort of mystery, kidnapping, or police case of some kind that needs to be solved. This one didn't, this brought 3 worlds together. It was a beautiful story with acceptance, forgiveness, love, and a little bit of pessimism. Well written. Great characters. All the feel expected from a great romance. A PNR with a HEA. RECOMMENDED.
