If you're a science fiction junkie like myself, then I've found your next great read! THE PHOBOS RESURRECTION is an intriguing introduction to the CHILDREN OF PHOBOS series. It has all the feels you'd expect from a great sci-fi novel: mystery, suspense, action, artificial intelligence units and space stations.

Set in the 24th century, where living on Mars is a legitimate option, an artificial intelligence unit, Nunguster, awakens on an abandoned research facility on Phobos, called L-Station. After being in a frozen state for years she has no recollection of who or where she is, why she was frozen and why she has suddenly been revived. In her quest for answers, she realizes she is not alone on L-Station, and makes several allies, including another AI unit, a naval officer, and two experimental subjects. Together, they uncover the controversial reasons behind the abrupt closure of the research station, while trying to escape from the people determined to keep those reasons a secret.

This novel is intelligently written, with detailed setting descriptions, great character development, and a plot that flows at a consistent pace. I often forgot I was reading a book; it was so easy to picture the story in my mind, like I was watching a movie in my brain. Overall, I'm strongly impressed that this is Norton McClure's first novel. Well done! Can't wait for the next book in the series to be released!

This is an excellent sci-fi adventure! I loved every minute of it and adored the eclectic mix of characters, including two hilarious advanced AIs. Fantastic adventure, thrilling and well paced, allowing the reader to really get a feel for this possible future, not to mention, packed with laughs.

My only issue is that the language wasn't as polished as it could be. Thankfully the errors I noticed didn't really detract from the overall experience. But it does lead me to give a 4.5 rating.

The author sets everything up for a sequel which I'm looking forward to. What an adventure!
