Jill Shalvis is a NYT, USA Today, and Amazon Top 100 bestselling author of small-town romance and romcoms, known for big feels, found family, and plenty of shenanigans.

If you love small-town chaos, meddling friends and neighbors, sizzling chemistry, and heroes who fall hard for the one woman they absolutely did not plan on, you’re in the right place. Jill’s books blend laugh-out-loud moments with emotional gut punches, slow-burn tension, and deeply earned happily ever afters.

She writes the stories she loves to read: small-town romance and romantic comedies packed with heart, heat, second chances, grumpy/sunshine sparks, and the kind of found-family vibes that make you want to move right into the pages. Many of her series are perfect for binge-reading, and a number of her books are available in Kindle Unlimited and at major retailers.

When she’s not writing, she’s probably plotting new ways to torture her characters, avoiding laundry, or daydreaming about fictional men and the strong, complicated women who bring them to their knees—and then making them work for it.

You can follow Jill here on Goodreads to keep up with new releases, add her books to your shelves, and discover which small town you want to get lost in next.

You can't go wrong with a Shalvis read. This one is reading candy. 5 stars.

Faith McDowell's natural clinic is struggling, especially after being disparaged during an interview by ER doctor Luke Walker. To help repair the damage, Luke's hospital requires him to work at Faith's clinic every Saturday for 3 months. Although the extra help is welcome, Faith and Luke have quite different opinions on health care, so there are bound to be clashes. Along with the clashes there is some strong chemistry, which the two decide to act on for the duration of Luke's assignment. Neither one is looking for anything more, but both of them find they are struggling as Luke's time at the clinic draws to a close. This was a cute and sexy romance between two very different people.

Typical Shalvis read. Light and fluffy, with a predictable plot. It was fun enough to break up the paranormal romance series I'm reading. This was a lot heavy on the UST, though, and light on the resolving of it. After a while, the misses got really frustrating. And the ending, rather than leave me with a smile on my face, was way too cheesy for my taste. I was cringing when I should've been smiling.

Luke

Loved this both. I love the opposites attract love stories specifically when they can’t figure out how much in love they are. As usual this book had a lot of humor in it and a great, great love story. Loved Faith and her quarky ways. Enjoyed this story. Ms Shalvis truly is a great author. Can’t wait for her next book!

I knew this was one of her earlier works so i knew i wasnt going to love it as much as the most recent works. Loved Luke as he told it as it is, even when he was being stubborn he knew when to back down. I just couldn't take to Faith, from the start she couldn't make her mind up on anything and it continued through the entire book

Jill Shalvis is written another winner. I loved the chemistry between Luke & Faith. Both had the same feelings about staying single because of their jobs. One a doctor & one a nurse practitioner but owner of her own alternative medicine clinic. Both fell hard for each other but trying to fight the feelings. Both loose. Great story.

No me ha gustado demasiado. Sí , lo único el enfrentamiento entre los dos tipos de tratamientos entre ellos, medicina tradicional y la alternativa naturista. Bueno...pues nada, atracción sexual intensa y ya está.

Luke Walker is an ER doctor who made the mistake of letting his boss know how he felt about the layoffs at the hosptials. And the money spent going to the clinic called the Healing Waters Clinic, but the press overheard and printed it out of context. Now he has to do duty at the clinic to make up for his negative publicity. He has 3 months of Saturdays to work for Nurse Faith McDonald a fiery redhead who is the director of the clinic.
She just happens to make Luke's blood tingle so before the 3 months are up can he convince Faith that the passion that they feel is worth keeping.

I REALLY liked this story a lot! Luke and Faith were a perfect match and this was one of my favorite works from Shalvis. I just didn't want it to end. 4.5 stars....there was enough spice in the book for me but, a tad more and it would have been a 5!! Loved it!!

It did take me a little while to get into this story. But once I started there was no stopping me then. The characters took a little to warm onto me, but then again I have never been big on the medical stories. Not that this was a medical story, yet it was still there.

An easy read, enjoyable enough, about an ER doctor, Luke Walker, and Faith, a former nurse, turned Healing Clinic manager, who clash over different principle on healing people. Sparks ignite, etc etc.

I was back and forth while reading the book. It's one of Ms. Shalvis's earlier works. Most of the time the heroine really annoyed me, as she kept getting in her own way and was too much woe is me for my comfort.

Loved this!

Luke and Faith had serious chemistry...just see their second kissing scene (wowza!). I thought this book was great...funny, sweet, and just the right amount of heat.

Definitely recommend it
