Bridger Payne is an enigma that no one can figure out. Wise beyond his years, eerily intuitive and sexy as hell, every woman in The Silo wants him.
None can have him.
Not the real man, anyway.
He might wield the lash for you if you ask prettily, but he’ll get no gratification from it. He’ll definitely make you scream, but he won’t think twice about you when he walks away.
Bridger carries the darkest of secrets He’s filled with too much pain.
He’s utterly untouchable.
Until she came along.

**Warning: this book has sex in it. Lots of sex. Dirty sex. The Wicked Horse Series is a bit different than what Sawyer Bennett normally writes. While you’ll still enjoy fabulous characters, a suspenseful story, some witty banter and an epic romance, there’s just… a lot of sex. You’ve been warned.

Impressions are not always the inner truth of people...What we may see a man as Strong, Wise, and Able to see clearly all of the needs of his friends...is not always how the man sees himself when he looks in the mirror. Sawyer Bennett took that concept and applied it to the man of the hour, Bridger Payne. This man, who has been the rock, the Go-To man for all of the characters in this series, has the most tortured and complex demons of all. We all knew this "Ride" was going to be intense...and Bennett held nothing back in creating his tale.

This series has been a vehicle to explore sexuality and the freedom it can bring. Everybody has their likes... some lean towards different types of needs or desires... no judgment as long as all participants are consensual. The use of The Silo, a sex club, was the hub of all the installments. All of the men were involved either as part-owners or Fantasy Makers. With each book, we learned about these men and how they came to Jackson, WY, and what was the reason...Were they running from family, a person, or the personal shame and guilt that they carried to this new place...We took each journey with them and learned lessons to apply to real life...and this last installment was no different.

Over the course of time, Bridger has watched his circle move in the direction of peace. His closest friend, Woolf, met his woman and sold his half of The Silo to protect his political father-in-law in his upcoming election. His head of security hooked up and both of his top Fantasy Makers are no longer available either. This is huge; as all of these men loved the action at the club and so did the patrons. Yet, all of them now are happier being home with their women just hanging out. Oh, they may come and use the club... but not in the way they did in the past...their partners are always their main focus.

Bridger is happy for them, even kind of envious... He sees the blatant affection and caring, the warmth in the private looks...and he sees the love, which is something he knows nothing about.

He understands friendship-caring and barely remembers the love from his mother and dad. He had them for too little a time. His mom died when he was very little and then when his dad remarried, he was introduced to his stepmother. For a few years, things seem good; dad was there and his stepmom played the part. But life played an ugly trick on Bridger with having a drunk driver hit and kill his father, leaving him in the sole care of this step-mom.

Because just like the fairy-tales that turn dark and horrific, so did young Bridger's life. He endured things no child, preteen or teenager should...and finally at 15, he was able to get away.

But the damage was done; the die-cast to make it impossible for him not to compartmentalize and close him off from feeling an emotional connection with a woman. He was able, though, to adapt and adjust once he was given encouragement and love from a priest who was not about to turn his back on this teenager. Bridger took the schooling and work made available to him and became aware of his own intelligence and ambition. It was during his time in college when he met Woolf and Woolf's family out at their Wyoming ranch.

All of these years have added to the mystic of Bridger Payne and he has been comfortable with it. He and Woolf own the Wicked Horse Saloon and now is the sole owner of The Silo. He does scenes when needed but he never feels anything and the only payoff for him is the 3-second blankness that comes with his release. He knows he is damaged and has in his own way come to terms with it.

Maggie Waylon could have been any young daughter who felt like rebelling and having a bit of fun. What was the regular "feeling of one's oats and experimenting" led to situations that became life-changing. Young women do things and learn from them with the hopes that families will be there to assist, support, and love.

Maggie's family...Not So Much.

Which put her in "the rock and hard place" when she met the head of a Hardcore Motor Cycle club. The president took Maggie and made her his "Property". He was already with another... but he keeps her there at the club and since she felt like she had no other place to go...she went along.

But then she became Belle's Mother...a condom broke bringing her the best thing that ever happened in her young life. She realized she had a purpose and needed to care about someone who mattered.

She plotted and planned...
She had to wait...
She took her moment and ran...
She ran where she knew her Belle would not be found...
For Maggie was ready to protect her no matter what...and that was hiding her daughter for she knew they would find her and drag her back...

We are there when Bridger is opening the door to Kyle, one of the bikers he knows from the club. They are not friends or buds...As Bridger opens his door, Kyle marches in with an unconscious Maggie in his arms. She has been beaten, cut and who knows what else...she has crusted blood in her hair and her clothes are filthy. Before Bridger can tell this guy to get the hell out of here, Kyle explains he has been deep undercover for 3 years. He is really close to shutting down the club but he couldn't let the torture continue with Maggie being close to death at the hands of the disgruntled club president's wife. They were holding her hostage; beating her, starving her to find out where Belle was. Kyle couldn't believe what this woman took and never gave up where her child was...and he came to Bridger because he was the only one he knew who would be able to protect her.

Bridger takes all of this in and learning about her protecting her child causes him to mentally rear up and roar....he will not allow anything to happen to her. She was doing everything a mother should be...and deep down it hit him hard of how opposite his stepmother was to him...

With all the connections Bridger has through the Club, he is able to get a doctor over to the house to properly care for Maggie. Of course, he has to pay up with barter that the doc had been pining for since meeting Bridger. Quid pro quo, the way of life as Bridger knows it. But he didn't care because this woman would be healed.

We go on a journey with both of these characters. Maggie, who has transitioned from a lost woman to a mother who will do anything for her child...and a man who is ashamed of his childhood, what he needed to do to survive and then be as a man. We are there to see how these two come together, learn about themselves as well as the other. When things become hard for both...we hope they are able to be strong, know who they are, and work their way through all of it.

Bridger has a more difficult arc...Yet Maggie has more insight and care for Bridger than one would think she would have from her past life experience...She is curious, extremely strong, and willing to fight for what she wants. These two are a very interesting combination, yet they fit perfectly.

This series was a real ride... see what I did there, hahahaha

Sawyer Bennett set out to write a very erotic series and did just that. It covered all the ways people experience "Their Kinks" and made it understandable and tempting. The huge lesson throughout was different strokes for different folks... and no matter the whys or reasons...if those involved are consensual, then let your freak flag fly.

Seriously, though, all of these books brought heart and important issues to light, to ponder...
They addressed guilt, shame, loss, and forgiveness of all kinds...but the most telling was the kind we need to give ourselves. Anytime I can learn these lessons with all kinds of sexy times, you can count me in.

I feel like I've been waiting for Bridger's book for forever. He's been that character since book one that you just can't get your mind off of because he's so mysterious. The second we were introduced to him I was already coming up with theories in my mind on how his book would be and then trying to calm myself down from getting too excited about it. I didn't want to have my hopes way up only to have them crash down.

I should have known, though, that Bridger would have the absolute best book in this series and that there was no way I could be disappointed. This book sucked me in from the very first page and I couldn't believe how captivated I became.

I knew this book would bring the sexiness, that was no surprise. What did shock me, was the sweetness that was in this story. Bridger's pain broke my heart, and then seeing him so caring with Maggie shattered it in a completely different way. It was amazing how different he was once he opened up and let himself feel more than is past hurts. I wanted nothing more than to just hold him close and make everything okay for me.

Maggie was his game changer, the one that had Bridger seeing life differently and thinking of bigger things. I loved her for him and they made the perfect couple in my opinion. Where he was rough, she was soft and when he was quiet she was there to pull him out of his shell. The way their differences were written made this story enthralling and I'm actually sorry I devoured it as fast as I did because I never wanted to see it end.

It's really sad to see this series go because I've loved the journey Sawyer Bennett brought us on with these characters, but it had the perfect finish. If you're looking for a sexy series with a lot of heart, then this is the one for you.

4.5 Enigmatic Stars

Review @ Vanilla & Spice Books

I think everybody who started this series and loved it was intrigued by the character who would have an appearance in every single book. The enigmatic, wise beyond years Bridger, the owner of The Silo, who had a roughness about him yet offered kindness in the most unexpected moments. I was intrigued by his demons from the start, you never learned what they were, only saw the way they worked him. Until now.

When an aquaintance drops an injured, beat up woman at his place everything in Bridger says "no way, José". But never being one to refuse innocent people a helping hand he agrees to letting her stay under his protection.

Maggie is the victim of the jealousy of an old lady. She gave birth to a daughter whose father is the president of a one percenter MC. Not wanting to expose her child to the life of an outlaw motorcycle club and being the property of her father she escaped one day and hid her daughter. When she was captured again she was tortured by Zeke, the president and his old lady Kayla. When she awakes from almost being killed by Kayla the first person she sees is Bridger. He offers her his protection and gives her a place where she can feel safe. As it always is when you live with somebody in close space you get to know them. Bridger, true to his trade, is a very sexual person so it doesn't take long until both of them give in to their desire for each other. Soon, Maggie finds herself wishing for more than the physical but will she be able to tear down the walls Bridger has erected around his heart? How can you fight demons you don't know?

From the start we know that Bridger was abused by his stepmother as a teenager. The things she did to him were horrible and that leaves scars on the soul of a decent man and it's a testament to the strength of our hero that he has stayed an inherently decent man. Nevertheless...

"...love is for idiots and trust is for fools."

It was fascinating to get a good view into the aloof Bridger, seeing him doing mundane things like make toast (and failing) for Maggie. He is the person who gets things done, and if he needs to use sex with a man for it he'll do just that. Enjoy it, however, he does not. It's all the same to him, woman, man, sex is only a way for him to blank out for a moment and escape his darkness.

"I could probably engage in a focused chess match as I was ploughing someone, able to stealthily checkmate my opponent while getting my rocks off.

That darkness and how it impedes him and his emotional life is heartbreaking. The way he tortures himself over not being able to give Maggie what he wants had me hurting for him. He sometimes is callous with her when his walls start to crumble.

I'm a shameful, heartless fuck, no doubt, but I'm also selfish as I mentioned.

On the other hand it was lovely to see him finding out that he was actually good with kids. When he was with Belle, our heroine's daughter, it was lovely and adorable. Bridger is a fascinating and bottomless pit of contradictions and I love that while he doesn't lose his edge he becomes a better and softer version of himself.

I have to say I did Maggie wrong in the beginning. I thought she'd be a needy and weak heroine but it didn't last long and soon she showed a strong backbone. There is a lot of kindness in that woman but also resilience and pride and when the time for grovelling comes she gives Bridger a run for his money. She also has a traumatizing past yet never let it break her. Her strength is fortified by her little girl.

We get to see most of the past main characters and of course Woolf, Bridger's best friend, has a lot of page-time. It was lovely to reconnect with him and remember why I loved him so much in his own book. He gives it to his best friend straight, filterless, when Bridger makes a mess of things.

"...but don't make me do your dirty work for you. Man the fuck up, Bridger."

I had an inkling that this installment would be the most emotional in the series and it really was. I hope we'll meet some of the characters of this series in other books as we have with others. They have grown on me and I am sad to let them go. Maggie was an endearing heroine and loved how she was with Bridger. Bridger was everything I hoped for.
Sawyer Bennett did Bridger's story justice.

Bridger Payne..you are officially my favorite Wicked Horse character!!!! It is a bittersweet feeling to say goodbye to the Wicked Horse Series but Sawyer Bennett has truly worked her sex, love, magic ways as we bid adieu to the Silo and Wicked Horse cast with one unforgettable book.

photo c99bedb780690b40a5b4d3c9029872_zpsfgd7obxu.gif “Bridger… he makes me think of sex in a completely different way. Not as a tool or even a burden, but in a way that makes me think it can be sensual, decadent , and mutually satisfying. A foreign concept for sure, but I still fantasize about it anyway. ”

There is a saying, save the best for last and that’s what Sawyer Bennett did. Wicked Bond was a sexy suspenseful read that was layered with a multifaceted of raw emotions. This book was gritty. It was intoxicating. It was wicked. It was erotic. But most importantly, it was consuming.

If you are familiar with the previous books of this series, then you are all aware that the series centers mostly on sex, kink, and sexual exploration. Yes, Wicked Bond has sizzling erotic scenes but it was more on the soft and tame side compared to the previous books. Bridger Payne has always been the character that I was so curious about ever since we were introduced to his character in the first book. I wanted to know who really is Bridger Payne and why Sawyer saved him for last.

#WickedBond

Bridger Payne is a complex and enigmatic character. He doesn’t say much and yet you are drawn to his raw brooding personality. His domineering and sexual presence demands our attention and boy oh boy did he have my full attention.

After a night working at the Silo, Bridger comes home to relax and forget his past but is interrupted when an acquaintance drops off a brutally battered young woman at his doorstep. When Eric informs Bridger that this woman needs to be kept hidden and her life is in danger, Bridger agrees to take her in since he knows what it is like to be helpless and desperate for help.

photo c99bedb780690b40a5b4d3c9029872_zpsfgd7obxu.gif “She swallows down the head of my cock and the mouthful of cum. She swallows my fucking soul.”

When Maggie Waylon awakes from her injuries, she is surprise to see that her wounds, scars, and broken ribs have been patched up. It is then she informs Bridger on what truly happened to her and why she is fearful for her safety. As Maggie recuperates in Bridger’s home, she can’t help but fall for Bridger. His kindness and attention was something that Maggie never had experienced. For the first time in her life, she craved a man’s touch. And she wanted Bridger Payne. As she tried so hard not to fall for him, she couldn’t and the same could be said for Bridger as well.

photo c99bedb780690b40a5b4d3c9029872_zpsfgd7obxu.gif “Bending down, I place my mouth on hers, giving her a kiss that says how much I love the feel of her under me… around me. I tell her from the depths of the kiss that she is amazing, gorgeous, and sexy, and she is rocking my world right this moment.”

Maggie was like a forbidden fruit. Her presence tempted him and sooner or later, he had to take a bite. One taste was all it took for Bridger Payne to get addicted. He knew once he crossed that line with Maggie it would be dangerous and deadly for his heart. Maggie is well aware that Bridger has a past and his demons continues to plague and haunt him. As she tries to break through his walls, will her love be enough to save him? Will Bridger be able to open up to Maggie and let her in? Can two damaged individuals find that bond that connects them? Or will Bridger sever that wicked bond?

The sexual tension, chemistry, and raw emotions made the story of Maggie and Bridger a compelling and addictive read. I loved that Sawyer Bennett saved Bridger’s story last. His story was a wild ride of emotions, grit, love, and sex. Sawyer Bennett is practically synonymous with romance that has a bite. Her books are never ordinary love stories but instead they are stories that pushes readers tethering to the edge emotionally and physically but has a profound way of reining readers back in. And Sawyer did that with Bridger as she slowly exposed layers of his past and demons. Readers got to see the true Bridger Payne. Bridger may be the owner of a sex club but that’s not all that defines him. And so in this sexy, gritty, and profoundly touching book, Sawyer Bennett will hold you hostage with her sinful prose on one last wild ride. So are you ready to saddle up and venture off to the Silo with Bridger Payne?

Since I met Bridger Payne in Wicked Fall the first book in The Wicked Horse series I have been on tender hooks waiting for HIS story and I had a feeling Ms Bennett was going to make us wait until the final book in the series and she did not disappoint.

With each book we have gotten more insight into Bridger the mysterious quiet at times scary owner of The Wicked Horse and The Silo. Bridger is the go to guy when his friends want to have some kinky fun with their ladies and he is always there for anyone who is in trouble or needs help, that’s how Maggie comes into his life she needs a safe haven and she is left in his care.

When Maggie is dumped at Bridger’s home she is unconscious and a bloody mess after being tortured. Bridger takes care of her making sure she gets all the care and rest she needs while she recuperates. When Maggie tells Bridger what her life has been like, why she ran and is now in hiding he is determined he is going to protect Maggie and her family.

Maggie makes Bridger feel things he thought he could never feel or could never do and this scares him. This being Bridger of course the sex is sizzling and tender at the same time. Maggie is the perfect match for Bridger these two are my favourite couple from The Wicked Horse series.

Bridger’s childhood broke my heart with everything he went through thank god he found Woolf and Adrian. I would never have thought that Bridger would turn into such a teddy bear he just needed the right woman to enter his life and that was Maggie.

WOW the epilogue made me cry I found it so emotional.

I found this to be very emotional, very sexy and the suspense had me gripped. Wicked Bond is a perfect conclusion to The Wicked Horse series, I am sad that another series has come to an end.

WHAT A BOOK I LUVD IT

I 've been dyin for this book since Wicked Fall the first book of this series when I got my first bit of Bridger he as alway been a quiet man but there has alway been something about him that had me wanting more he would do anything for his friends an as throughout out this series an I just knew that this book was goin to b the best out of them al an Bridger is my favourite out of al these hot men an I m so gutted this series is finished there is a book that I 've not luvd

Bridger Paine's life as had a lot of ups an downs an he went through a really horrible time when his Dad passed away an was left with his step mum but fast forward those horrible time an now he is the owner of The Wicked Horse an The Silo he wouldn't b where he is without Wolff his best friend an he would b lost without Bridger they make a great team but life as just gone a lil crazy for Bridger after Maggie bein put in his care she as been put through a lot an she is still in trouble an this is why Maggie was put in his care cause he will protect her no matter what an when Maggie finally opened up to him he wanted to protect her even more

Both Maggie an Bridger r quite similar but Bridger is a really dominant man an is into some very kinky stuff an when his feelings for Maggie start getting stronger he doesn't know how to deal with it he is use to taking what he wants when he wants it he doesn't do relationship he's never wanted to an he actually doesn't think he could after what happened to him but Maggie wants Bridger an she will make him see that they r so made for each other I was dyin for them to get together but Bridger past alway makes this hard an my heart breaks for both of them with out this book

I was a lil shocked when I started reading this book I didn't think that Bridger would so so soft an gentle cause like I said he is quite a dominant character but I luvd getting to really know him in this book an see a different side to him I found I got so into this story both characters r just great an there stories really grabbed my heart an I didnt want them to hurt anymore they have been through enough

I read the first book then jumped right on to the 5th book (yes, i'll get to book 2,3 and 4 at some point) but i was so intrigued by Bridger Payne from the get go. What made this damaged, broken man treat sex so casually. With no emotions, no passion... and boy do we find out. I expected this book to be a book i may put down at some point as Bridger is SUPER dirty and will most definitely have scenes with other women/men(it still did)...but colour me surprised! I FREAKING LOVED him even more. He is so darn sweet and my heart melted so many times with the way he treated Maggie. Although mainly a dirty read(as the author proclaims herself) this book was written so well and i might even go as far to say: written with so much CLASS. I LOVED how Maggie was his complete opposite in every way, yet they shared the same passion and i'm glad this beautifully broken man truly met his match.

If you are into this series, i highly recommend this book. It was an AMAZING read!

Definitely worth the wait!

Finally we get Bridger Payne's story! And if it is the last book in this wickedly hot series, it ended with the series' hottest, most interesting character; the one who jumped off the pages in the first book (Wicked Fall) and kept cropping up in each successive book--usually to give some sage advice and/or to participate in a sexcapade.

Bridger...

Bridger (the owner of the sex club called The Silo) meets his match in Maggie, a woman in trouble who is practically dumped on his doorstep. Maggie's been abused (tortured is more like it) and is hiding her most precious possession from a scuzzy biker dude (Zeke) who she (regretfully) had a relationship with. Maggie hasn't always made the best choices in life, but recently she's had a real reason to pull herself up by her bootstraps and turn her life around. But how is she going to escape the clutches of the head of Mayhem's Mission? With Bridger's help and protection, of course.

Maggie...
 photo 7e94ddba-9d68-43ef-b403-bc2d171a739d_zpsf15krn61.jpg

To make a long story short, Maggie and Bridger end up falling for each other, but Bridger's (horrific) past stands in their way. While Maggie definitely has some baggage, Bridger has triple the baggage--and doesn't even think he deserves happiness. His ideas about sex and intimacy are all messed up (due to some heartbreaking physical and sexual abuse as a young teen by a person who he should've been able to trust). Reading about this just about broke my heart, and explained so much about why Bridger needed the control he had at The Silo. But while Maggie trusted Bridger enough to explain about her less than stellar past, Bridger had a hard time opening up all the way to Maggie. He was ashamed, and wondered if Maggie could understand about what he felt he needed to deal with his emotional demons.

I loved the patience that Maggie showed with Bridger. Granted, she didn't have much in her life and it was no hardship taking the little bit that Bridger was capable of giving, but it must've been frustrating waiting for him to get his act together. Luckily he had a good friend and confidant (Father Adrian) that he turned to when his relationship was on the brink.

I loved Bridger's big heart. Yep, he had problems in his own life that he needed to resolve, but as in previous books, he was always there to help others. I'm glad that his friends came through for him when he needed it.

Of course the sex scenes...we're talking Bridger here! No need to go into detail here, but oh...when he was finally able to get past his hang ups? Whew! Where's my fan?

Now is this the end of the series? I don't know? There is another character (Ted--a fantasy maker at The Wicked Horse) who might rate a story. He seems like a good guy and is interesting enough. But if SB ends with Bridger, I'll be satisfied. This was one hot, very kinky series, but as always with Sawyer Bennett, you get some darn good writing and plenty of detailed characterization. So it's not all one sexcapade after another--plenty of good story here.

The final book in the Wicked Horse series is here.
And I would be really sad about that, if it weren't for Bridger!!!
Bridger's story is the story we've been waiting for since this series started!

He's had some very sick stuff happening to him when he was young and it still dictates his life today.
He can only be okay when he has control about all things.
He used to love his job in his sex club. But all that stupid kink has been getting on his nerves for a while now.
Just when he's thinking about some changes, Maggie is dropped in his lap. Or rather on his couch.

A suposedly undercover ATF agent got her out of the clutches of a biker gang, where she was tortured. They wanted to know the whereabouts of someone very important to them, but Maggie would hide that person with her last breath.

And now it's on Bridger to hide Maggie from the bad guys.

Wouldn't be all that hard if he weren't so horribly attracted to her.
He doesn't do attracted! He doesn't do serious!
What the hell is he supposed to do with Maggie and the person she's hiding???

His life is complicated enough as it is!

WHAT WiLL HAPPEN TO BRIDGER & MAGGIE????
WiLL THE TWO OF THEM GET THEiR HEA?
I'm not telling you that of course...

Ugh, finally Bridger's book!!!! ☺

I kind of had the secret hope he would end up falling for a boy and a girl and they would all live happily ever after!
But Bridger is not gay or bi. He just doesn't have anything against doing stuff with guys if it suits him in that moment.
But now that Maggie lives with him - he's horribly in lust and also horribly confused.

I loved those two together.
The way Maggie instinctually trusts Bridger.
They're so adorable together.

I really enjoyed this last book in the series!

WICKED RIDE- was a wickedly beautiful erotic Romance! Suspense, hot sex, a very adorable & amazing hero & heroine.....what more does a great story need? Run to your nearest amazon to buy yourselves some Bridger!!!!

Bridger Payne is a man deeply damaged by his past. He's complex, mysterious, & an enigma to those around him. He lives in Jackson, Wyoming & owns a bar called The Wicked Horse & a sex club that's attached called The Silo. He needs the outlet the sex club provides him. He was conditioned at an early age to relate pleasure to pain. He makes fantasies happen & offers his services to anyone at the club needing his expertise. Women everywhere want him, but no one can have him. This sexy, gorgeous man is untouchable. He's comfortable with who he is, but likes his world full of order. He likes to be in total control & doesn't believe in love or happily ever afters. He has issues with trust & often comes across as intimidating and withdrawn.

 photo 7E16AC9A-8355-4A6E-907F-4AA7CC8EF19E_zpsheunoydg.jpg

Bridger lives in a cabin on the Double J property. He's a bit of a loner & keeps to himself. His whole life is turned upside down when a friend brings an unconscious woman to his home & asks him to hide her & care for her. She's in danger and doesn't have any other options. He knows what it's like to feel helpless & be in a horrible situation, so he can relate to this woman. Her name is Maggie Waylon & she's an innocent woman who got caught up in something bad.

Bridger begins to have feelings that scare him as he cares for Maggie & gets to know her better. He's never felt a connection to a woman. He's messed up in the head when it comes to intimacy, & doesn't know how to handle how he's feeling. He doesn't like the unknown.

 photo BEDFECE5-208F-4679-9407-19B29BA1531A_zpsjhxcuril.jpg

-I'm not sure what makes this different from any other woman I've been with, but for the first time, I get a pure thrill from the simple intimacy of kissing.

 photo AC39B98D-ACC2-4F26-B4C1-7FB5C4EB0A96_zpstcvwfx9p.jpg

He feels a strong bond with Maggie & they are extremely attracted to one another. He knows what it feels like to feel unprotected, alone, & completely at someone else's mercy. He just wants to help her heal & make her feel safe. The more time they spend together the closer they get & soon Maggie begins seeing a softer side to Bridger. He's kind & has such a big heart, but he still tries to keep it locked up tight. Maggie is quickly falling hard for her hero. Can Bridger be with her or will his demons from his past own him forever?

I have been waiting for Bridger's story since I first started this series. He was the main one I wanted. He's damaged but such a beautiful person with such a huge heart. Anytime anyone needed help he was there. I'm so glad I finally got his story, & that he found someone who could open his heart & help heal all his broken pieces. Loved this book so much!

OMG, I have been waiting on Bridger’s book for a while now and Sawyer Bennett definitely saved the best for last. First, if you have been reading the series you know Bridger. He has played a role in most of the other books. He is mysterious, sexy and always willing to play a role in everyone’s fantasies.

If you know me, you know I love books with single parents, guess what?? Bridger’s love interest is a single mom. Maggie’s life has not gone according to plan. She left home young and found herself part of a bad motorcycle club. Bridger is actually asked to keep Maggie safe when she is rescued by an undercover agent.

Maggie and Bridger develop a friendship first. He wants to take care of her and keep her safe but doesn’t know how to move forward with someone who has lived through so much. It has been years since Maggie was interested in sex or a relationship, but Bridger is different. She is so taken back by his soft touch and the care he has shown her.

I loved how this book developed. We have this sexy as sin connection, but also a lot of heart as Bridger tries to reunite a mother and daughter. Then there is action and suspense. This story has a little bit of everything and if you have been following the series you will absolutely enjoy this one! This series features different couples but are all linked together. Second, this series is super sexy, sexier than any other Sawyer Bennett book I have read.

Bridger’s past is really horrible! I felt so much pain for this man. He never needed anyone. He thought he didn’t deserve it... I so enjoyed seeing how Maggie and little Belle entered his heart. Maggie was an amazing strong woman and mom.

If you consider skipping books in this series I would advise to read them all and in order since small pieces are revealed in this book which would spoil reading the other books. You won’t regret because they’re all great ;) I’m really sad this seems to be the last book in this series. Maybe a book for Ted??

I loved reading about those great characters from the previous books in this series especially Woolf. Loved how he handled Bridger when he needed a little push.

This book wasn’t as kinky as the other books in this series but damn Bridger is a hot dirty talker.

What I missed in the previous books in this series was an Epilogue. In this book we get one and YAY I totally loved it.

Since reading Wicked Fall, I couldn't wait for Bridger's story. My emotions were running high reading this book! It's definitely a very steamy read, suspenseful and riveting, with an incredible darkness that pulled me in from the first page. Bridger Payne is an intriguing character and with this book we get to know more about his past and his demons.

His past was truly horrific and managing a sex club was the way he survived. His kink was his form of emotional protection. But since his best friend exited their business, he is not the same anymore. When Maggie Waylon is brought to his place, beaten and tortured, he intends to protect and keep her safe. Bridger is generous, caring and his past has taught him what being desperate for help means.

The attraction and chemistry between them is instant. They are both survivors and have a lot in common, but Bridger’s issues run deep. Maggie is strong and resilient, she could be his salvation if he accepts the emotional risk of a relationship with her.

This book was panty melting hot, but what stood out for me was its emotional depth. This is a gritty story, but Maggie and Bridger’s love was definitely a light in the darkness! This book is the last in the Wicked Horse series, but, in my opinion, it can be read as a standalone.

I've been looking forward to reading Bridger's story since the first book Wicked Fall. There was something mysterious and haunted about him that caught my attention immediately. I could easily tell he had his demons to battle and everlasting emotional scars to carry.
His story did not disappoint. It was filled with a tragic and horrible childhood, something that shaped Bridger throughout his Teenage years and adult life.

I enjoyed his story and how this one woman, Maggie turned his life upside down and made him question his wants and needs. It was at times a difficult and tough read because of Bridger's past but it had to be cause he's been such closed off man who didn't do relationships. I needed to know why Bridger was the way he was and when his trauma was disclosed everything made sense.

Bridger's always been a very sexual man who loved sex and having it with both men and women. Maggie made him reevaluate that and those two definitely made my panties wet. OMG were they hot together and the sex intense and mind blowing.
Once again I'm happy that the other women from the series showed up along with Woolf. It proved how loyal and supportive they were no matter what.

I appreciate what Sawyer Bennett did with this series which was celebrating sex, freedom to be your true self and enjoy sex with who ever you choose as long as between consenting adults. The Wicked Horse series has been really sexy, definitely kinky but most of all great stories about friendships.

"I want you, Maggie, and I'm not giving up until you agree to be mind."

Wicked Bond teaser

When a beaten and barely alive Maggie Waylon is dumped on his doorstep, Bridger immediately feels a sense of responsibility. He becomes her protector.

Bridger is a tortured soul, who uses BDSM to center himself. Relationships were never anything he imagined or wanted. But Maggie gets beneath his skin and begins to heal him from the inside out.

I enjoyed this one. The writing was good and the connection between Maggie and Bridger was great. I also enjoyed the suspense aspect.

Fans of this series will love Bridger's story!

Stand-alone but part of the wicked series
HEA:
Cheating:
Trigger:

Bridger's book is finally coming! Ever since the first book, Wicked Fall, I needed his book and those who already read Sawyer's Wicked Horse series knows what I'm talking about.

description

I thought I knew the man, always there for his friends, always protective of the people he cares. He owns The Silo so he has a kinky side I wanted to discover more. Do I need to remind you that The Wicked Horse series is Sawyer's most daring series?

At first I wanted an M/M book for Bridger I wanted the author to go even more outside of her comfort zone. Well maybe for another book

description

Bridger is a withdrawn man, secretive to the point not a lot of people knows what happened to him or why he acts the way he is. His life is quite simple.: He fucks, he get sucked, he whips and he rules his business with little emotions.
Bridger had a trouble childhood that twists his conception of sex and pleasure but he doesn't seem to care. He enjoys his life and even if he saw his friends fall over the years, he's not really interested.
In reality, he thinks he is not capable to feel and receive this kind of love.

"Many things have come my way, but nothing has ever penetrated my heart before.

Maggie lands in Bridger's life completely broken. She's in danger because she made poor decisions in her life. Now the opportunity comes, she wants to put her life on the right track for her and her two years old daughter.

The attraction between them was off the charts! I knew Bridger would be intense because of who he is but the sweetness he shows and the respect he gave to Maggie was overwhelming. For some reason he can't explain, he likes the comfort Maggie brings even if she threaten the little control he has over his life.

"“Get undressed for me, Mags. Let me see that beautiful body.”

description

For all the fans of SB and for those who likes a broken man, Bridger is waiting for you. The story is not only about discovering how to fight your demons and letting them go for a better future, it's also about letting the right person seeing who you really are and let them choose if you are worth it.

I'm sad this series comes to an end especially because there's Ted,the fantasy maker that seems really interesting but at the same time I'm thrilled to know Sawyer Bennett is going to focus on others books and I'm eager to know more about them.

Extra quote:
“It won’t be more,” he says almost sternly, making sure expectations will never be failed. Stupid, foolish man. “It’s already more, Bridger,” I reprimand him. “You’re already more than what I ever had.”

I feel like I’ve been waiting for Bridger’s book since he was first introduced in this series. There was just something about him that had me hooked. We’ve had four books to try to piece together this man and yet, we still start book five without many details.

Bridger Payne has been conditioned to find pain pleasurable. His time at the Silo is a tool to turn those feelings of shame into something else. To control how that pain and pleasure are delivered. But although years have passed since the abuse he suffered; he hasn’t broken through his past, until her.

Maggie. A complete an utter mess and surprise of a woman is tossed into Bridger’s care. When her ties to the biker gang lands her in a life or death situation, Bridger is there to protect her and keep her safe. But keeping his hands off of her is becoming alarmingly hard.

Bridger’s story was utterly heartbreaking. From the abuse he endured at a young age, to the feeling of worthlessness that he carried into his adult life. My heart broke for him as he struggled to put his demons to rest.

He’s had to watch all of his friend find love and intimacy all while fooling himself into thinking that he could only offer a bit of kink to any woman. I loved the dynamic of his relationship with Maggie. The way he got to see what love between a mother and child was supposed to look like, the way she nudged him into wanting more. I loved the fight he had with himself throughout this book. The way he battled what he wanted and what he thought he deserved.

Bridger’s story lived up to every single expectation I had for his book. It was wickedly hot and an emotionally intense read.

When i read the review of this book, i have to admit it gets me reading this book. I am familar with miss Bennett works before but never this series. This series promises to be dirty and dark. A different twist from miss Bennett.

And it is really delivers. All of that angst, heartbreak, darker and dirty. I am sure many women swooning over Bridger by now. He is the perfect broken damage brooding hero. The sex is really a lot. But.... the sex scenes really supporting the story development. From it we can see the heartbreak of Bridger.

I am very satisfied with this book. I really enjoy listening to it.

O!! M!! G!! It's Bridger's time, finally!!!!!!! Yah, come to momma!!!

That was me before... teehee...

No offense to the other fellas of The Wicked Horse, but I feel that Sawyer definitely saved the best for last. Mind you, I haven't read Logan's story (the 4th one, Wicked Ride) but I'm pretty sure I'll still say the same after.

Bridger has intrigued fans right from the start of the series, including me. If you haven't read the previous books, it is a standalone. But like I said, as a fan, there's additional context. From the previous books, he's like the Yoda of their circle, the go-to guy for advice and the one to lead the "scenes". But throughout the series, Sawyer gives just enough to make you see that there's way more to him than meets the eye. And indeed there was!

Bridger's past broke my heart over and over. I've always thought that some of Bridger's actions in the previous books were just his thing, but here you find out the whys. Dumping Maggie into his life, he's forced to acknowledge certain things for the better. And as he continued to be unsettled by Maggie, you see another side to this man, a side I didn't quite expect; the vulnerability to his thoughts, it just make you wanna hug this big hunk of alpha.

And in Maggie, Sawyer gave Bridger the h he deserves. Maggie's past was one full of mistakes and pain, but she's doing her best to move forward. With Bridger as her saviour, she found the right opportunity to rebuild her life. Maggie totally understood Bridger. She's got a quiet strength and a lot of hidden wisdom to her that can easily be underestimated. I truly did like her.

And of course, because this is Sawyer, the smexy times are SMEXY!!! Whoosh...

Thank you, Sawyer, for giving me this fabulous sexy series *g*

**Warning: this book has sex in it. Lots of sex. Dirty sex. The Wicked Horse Series is a bit different than what Sawyer Bennett normally writes. While you’ll still enjoy fabulous characters, a suspenseful story, some witty banter and an epic romance, there’s just… a lot of sex. You’ve been warned.

“Don’t let the unknown scare you. You’re far braver than that.”

“I’ve taken on her worries because I know how hard it is to break free from a terrible situation. I know what it’s like to have no good options. Most importantly, I understand the overwhelming guilt that gets directed toward yourself for not doing it sooner once you finally do get free.”

- Who is the Hero? Bridger Payne, Age: 30’s, Occupation: co-owner/manager of bar and sex club
~ Bridger is part owner /manager of the Wicked Horse bar and The Silo sex club. He’s been a bit of enigma throughout the series because he reads people so well and there’s this “intriguing” element amount him. Any sexual acts he engages in are completely impersonal to him and he’s got some dark internal demons he’s trying to keep hidden and buried deep where they can’t rule his life.
~ “People see Bridger as this mystery because he’s intimidating and withdrawn. But I think he probably has the biggest heart out of all of us. He just keeps it locked up for some reason.”

- Who is the Heroine? Maggie Waylon, Age: not sure, Occupation: nothing specific
~ Maggie got involved with the Mayhem’s Mission motorcycle club and ended up having Zeke’s (club president) baby. Zeke is ruthless and a bad guy and Maggie has hidden the child from him. He’ll do whatever he needs in order to get his daughter back - not because he loves her, but because he wants control. Maggie is determined to do whatever it takes to keep her baby girl safe and far away from Zeke and the club.
~ “He’s a mean son of a bitch. Runs that club as if he’s Hitler and uses that same mentality on everyone around him, even his baby daughter. He’s rotten to the core, and that sick bastard has no fondness or love for Belle. She’s his property, and that’s all he cares about.”
~ “That fucker underestimated my resolve. I’ll die before I give Belle up to him.”

Plot overview:
~ Kyle brings Maggie to Bridger in a badly beaten state. Kyle pleads with Bridger to hide and protect Maggie until the motorcycle club can be brought down. As Bridger brings her back to health, a special bond forms between these two.
~ “You are what makes my life complete”

** The following are my thoughts about this book: **
* * one of my favorite type of H’s is the broken/damaged man who has a heart of gold. Bridger ….🥰🥰🥰. Loved Him❣❣️
~ “I know all about being unprotected and alone, completely at someone’s mercy. I know all about helplessness, sadistically delivered pain, and the hopelessness that comes with forced isolation and antipathy.”

~ “I’ve spent years fighting against invisible chains that have held me back, learning to live an unrealized existence. But tonight… Maggie’s busted those chains and I eagerly wonder what else I can willingly give to her without destroying myself at the same time.”

* * I thought this book had the least amount of “kinky” in the series - at least between the H/h. So while there was one small MM scene and a flogging/gang bang scene, there wasn’t really anything kinky between the H/h like in other books. I honestly expected this one to be focused on the sadistic side of BDSM seeing as Bridger was so good with the whips and canes. That kink is not really my thing, so I was happy it didn’t go that direction. But honestly, I expected it to be much kinkier.

* * I’ve been patiently waiting for Bridget’s book since Book One. Thankfully, I felt like it lived up to what I wanted from his story.

* * I loved Maggie’s recognition of Bridger’s hang ups and i was glad she didn’t force him to face his issues just to make her feel better. She was patient with him as he worked through his demons.

* * it broke my heart everything that Bridger endured. Add on top of that everything Maggie went through and I got a perfect combo of a couple that I was desperately rooting for.

* * the story was engaging and I couldn’t flip the pages fast enough. It had a good blend of steam, fighting internal demons and danger.

* * cute kid alert - and Bridger and Belle together ❤️

**Overview:**
- Content Warning: abuse, prostitution
- Setting: Jackson, Wyoming
- Do you need to read previous books in series?: Yes. The previous books provide backstory to the Silo and the various characters in this series. I don’t think you would get as much out of it if you were not already invested in the characters
- POV: Dual POV
- h virgin? No
- First time they kiss: 27%
- First time they sleep together: 37%
- Safe sex? Initially - because Bridger doesn’t do anything without a condom. Later on, “safe” discussions were had.
- First time they say I Love You 89%
- steamy? Yes. Descriptive bedroom scenes
- Chemistry? great chemistry
- OW/OM drama? technically, another man was in the picture - but from a danger perspective, not a romance prrspective
- H/h cheat? No
- Time apart? About 6 weeks
- Did I skip pages? No
- Big secrets? we learn Bridger’s secrets about his past around 80%
- Did I cry? No
- Did I laugh? No
- Did I swoon🥰? Yes. So many swoony things about Bridger
- Cliffhanger? No
- HEA? Yes
- Epilogue? 5 months later
- Recommend? Yes. This was the best of the series.

Quotes:
“Love is for idiots and trust is for fools.”

“Once you love someone, the worries and insecurities seem to melt away, and it makes the kinky fucking that much better.”

“Bridger’s happiest in his darkness, and while he might be enthralled by the light you’re casting, he’s going to be distrusting of it.”

“If you don’t want Maggie to go out with him, stick your hand down the front of your pants, fondle your balls to make sure they still work, then get your ass home and tell him yourself. Better yet, if those balls do still work, drag Maggie off, fuck her, and make her yours again, but do not ask me to do your dirty work for you. Man the fuck up, Bridger.”

“Accept responsibility,” he repeats. “Be genuine. Be kind. Be honest. That doesn’t just pertain to love, Bridger. That should be how you live your life every day to every person you meet.”

★★ 4.5 Stars! ★★

Since the beginning of this series, I have wanted to get to the bottom of Bridger Payne. He’s been the elusive character, only showing his softer side when needed. He’s been stoic and staid throughout the first four books, and I couldn’t wait to peel back the layers and see what makes him tick. Wicked Bond does such an amazing job of that, plus we get to meet Maggie, who I absolutely fell in love with.

Bridger is the owner of The Wicked Horse bar and The Silo, a secret sex club. I knew his past was going to be dark and twisty, and believe me, it lived up to my expectations. He is OCD about order in his surroundings and in his sex life. He uses sex to find fleeting euphoria in his mind while his soul is suffering from years of abuse. It has made him into the man he is, but he wants more out of life than just the club.

Maggie is the perfect counterpoint to Bridger. She is also a victim of abuse and feels abandoned and alone. No one has cared for her or loved her for so long, but she isn’t a damsel in distress. She stays strong and does everything she can to protect herself and the ones she loves, even though her means are limited.

Seeing Bridger and Maggie open up to one another and forge a connection was such a fulfilling part of the story. I loved seeing them heal and the intensity of their relationship. There is also an element of suspense that I enjoyed. In the end, love prevails and the bonds (pardon the pun) created throughout this series were fantastic. I enjoyed each and every book of this series, but Bennett definitely saved the best for last!

Oh, Bridger. My absolute favorite damaged soul...

Titillating and thrilling to the MAX, Wicked Bond, the long-awaited installment in Bennett's 'The Wicked Horse Series', brought me so much heartache and so much joy. Bridger's story has been a long time comin' but it is well worth the wait. Since the very beginning, Bridger Payne has been a mystery. I remember wanting his story right off the bat. Not to count out the other guys because i absolutely adored Woolf, Cain, Rand, and Logan, but Bridger will go down as my all time FAVORITE hero from this amazing series!

We finally learn more about the damaged soul behind this amazing and gorgeous man. It's heartbreaking...it's tragic...it's unthinkable, and yet, it explains so much. Fans of the series will realize just how important The Silo is to Bridger and when distraction shows up at his doorstep, his well-organized existence will be thrown out of balance forever. Maggie Waylon has been through absolute hell. She's been used, abused, and pushed aside for as long as she can remember. When she wakes up and sees the large and beautiful stranger next to her, she doesn't realize that this man will be the one to show her compassion, strength, and protection.

Instead of banishing his demons, Bridger Payne prefers to embrace them, live with them as a reminder of that time in his life, and to make sure it NEVER happens again. Both Bridger and Maggie have only known sex as a tool, but when they finally get their hands on each other, and they see how different it could be, they want more...but are they willing to risk it? Can two people living with immense pain from their past ever move forward? Will Bridger continue to bask in the darkness or force himself into Maggie's light?

Darkness, temptation, seduction...what will make them fall? Sexy, provocative, raw, and intense, WICKED BOND was an absolute addictive read. This has to be a series favorite of mine! Save the best for last? Sawyer Bennett did just that!

Wicked Bond was a highly anticipated read for me. This is the 5th and final book in The Wicked Horse Series. We’ve met the hero, Bridger Payne several times in the series. He’s been involved in the acts performed at the sex club he owns The Wicked Horse.

He’s always been a bit of a mystery. Bridger has said many times that he doesn’t want a relationship.

When Magdalene (Maggie) Waylon is a beautiful, smart and caring woman who you can’t help but like. She’s made bad decisions in her past that have lead her to a dangerous situation that is frankly too much for one person to handle.

Bridger is a hard man to get to know. He’s a very troubled hero with a dark past. He takes care of Maggie after she’s been attacked. The two end up in living situation but even though they’re in close proximity, Bridger doesn’t act on his impulses.

I liked this read. Admittedly there were lulls in the story that bores me a bit. I can’t lie, even though I adore Sawyer and this book was beautifully written, it wasn’t my favorite. Still it’s a fun and fast pace read that completes the series.

Tropes:

I absolutely love the dirty stories of the wicked horse and the Silo and I have been longing to know the story behind Bridger Payne the dark, tough and unemotional c0-owner and I wasn't disappointed. Bridger has a terrible painful past that stops him from being intimate with women until he is forced into a situation where he has to protect Maggie and her daughter Belle from the local MC gang. Awesome characters, addictive story line and lots of hot sex, narrated by Kristen Leigh and the sexy tones of Lee Samuels.

This was so intense and emotional, yet extremely sweet and super hot! Such an excellent story! I loved it all!

I was immediately pulled into Maggie and Bridger's story. I knew that Bridger was a complicated man but wow, I had no idea how deep those demons ran. I was so absorbed learning all the details of his background, some really horrific and heartbreaking. Maggie's life was equally as rough but in different ways. There is just so much emotion happening as she opens up, wanting to lay it out and trust but still being cautious. There is a great build to learning both of their histories and I was completely wrapped up in their stories. I thought Maggie was a great character and strong woman. How she was there for Bridger and the patience she had as he fought his internal battles was wonderful. Bridger is so loyal and caring, a truly great man that will do anything for his friends and those he calls his family. There is so much hope and redemption in his story, I was touched by it.

There is a push and pull happening between Bridger and Maggie but I enjoyed the struggle and the heat it created. The passion itself is a heady thing with Bridger's history, I loved the fight he was going though. His feelings about sex and love are deep rooted, twisted and dark. Having all that darkness and coming out into the light at the end of it was an incredible thing. The overall journey Bridger has taken since book one has been great. From the very beginning I wanted more of him, wanted to know what motivates him and finding out was hard but fascinating all at the same time. I loved every single second!

Great writing and details. There is a nice amount of drama, a bit of suspense, and lots of intensity as Bridger and Maggie’s relationship evolves. It was just an incredibly solid story. Excellent characters and depth, all the different players from this series make up one very big, loving family and I love those ties they've created with one another. So many bonds and friendships, it's awesome.

5 wickedly awesome stars! This is such a fantastic series and I've enjoyed every single book. I'm happy how it all turned out but sorry to see the series end. It definitely went out with a bang for sure. I highly recommend each and every one.
