A steamy reverse harem romance with a criminal twist!
Despite this book being set in a high school it is definitely one of the steamier reverse harem books. I have read a few of the reverse harem books that are set in high school and they may have a girl that is in love with multiple guys and they with her but they really are just good friends, not a true harem. This one gets pretty steamy in a few scenes and it goes as far as saying the main characters all kiss each other in school and the entire school knows about it and is ok with the situation and just sees it as normal. So they are basically out as a polyamorous relationship.
The heroine Cora is no longer bullied by any of the students at the public high school where she goes to school and her three guys, “The Lost Boys” Bish, Kace, and Misael all have feelings for her and protect her against any and all threats against her. Including a new kid who works for a rival of their boss, who is a crime lord named Nathaniel.
Cora is still trying to find out who framed her father and put him in prison, if he was in fact framed, or if he actually committed the crime he was put in jail for. However it is pretty dangerous because the last time she tried to find information, she almost got herself killed.
Cora is also trying to figure out how her Mom got that new car and where she has been going all the time. She keeps telling herself that maybe her Mom got a job but it really doesn’t make sense. So she doesn’t really want to think about what her Mom might be doing. But every time she asks her Mom, she tells Cora not to worry about it and it is all taken care of.
I love all the mystery and suspense in the storylines, how you don’t know much about the boys jobs but you know what they do is illegal and that it could possibly have something to do with why Cora’s Dad is in prison, but you hope not. Then there was the huge cliffhanger at the end of the last book which was awesome and what’s even better is that it doesn’t get resolved in the first few paragraphs of this book. It actually takes ¾ of the book before it gets all the way resolved and there is another even better cliffhanger at the end of this book.
Some people really hate cliffhangers, and I do as well when the next book isn’t out yet but when the next book is already out and especially when I already have it or it is on Kindle Unlimited. I actually love a really good cliffhanger and this one is really juicy! I can’t wait to dig in to the next book.

Is it better than the first? Maybe....eh

WAIT
I just realized something tho, we as readers don’t even know how old these characters are! She said “maybe 17-18ish” but we don’t know! I’m perturbed. Authors always specify especially when they are in high school and especially with the sexual situations they are in. So I would guess 18 at least.
We don’t even know what grade they are in, 11th or 12? There are four main characters here, where’s my dimension here. This is basic story build! Why don’t we know this? I don’t want to be like “I want a Kace” when I don’t even know if he’s LEGAL!
Ugh, IM ANNOYED AT THIS.
Also this book is no longer just a contemporary read. It is an erotica read. Like please, authors, correctly put your books in the right genres. I get more annoyed with erotica novels being labeled as NA, and NA as YA. Please label them correctly. Thanks.
Ok legalities aside, the story has kinda my same thoughts as the first.
Where are the side characters? Literally the author has all this drama and intensity with these side characters, and as soon as the story moves to another added plot point or sex scene, that side character disappears. It’s weird. It seems just weird to me.
But,
It has improved very much. The boys of course make this book over the basic af main female character. But I did feel like the author was doing things that made the boys seem more stupid then they actually were. I don’t know what she was doing, but Bishop and them made stupid decisions at times that made no sense with the life they grew up in. They are not culturally incompetent Cora, so why did they tell “so and so” about the dude when so many people and details are at stake? I don’t know. Doesn’t seem like it coincided with their characters. It’s like the author wanted to put something in the book to get where she wanted it to go instead of making the story around the characters character.
Cora was written a little bit better. I kept reading into the second book so that says I’m interested. She’s still stupid, and I am just so disappointed because the author could have taken her character displayed in the first 2 chapters of the first book and ran with it to the finish line.
The plot was a little bit all over the place at times. The authors strength?
Not in plot and story build.
Her strength? The erotica scenes. That’s her strength. Congrats. If only I could read an entirely good plot with it. Literally, these carried the story. Problem? I think so.
I’m still reading though. I am invested in this mess now. Might as well finish it.

I don't know... I just don't think that the plot is very strong. I have no problem with the romance part of the plot, but the rest of it is pretty weak unfortunately. And this book's ending wasn't as good as the first book's ending. I hope the final book in the series brings everything together.

Fast-paced and action-packed, Eva Ashwood crams a lot into Wild Girl which was a great sequel to Lost Boys. The cliff hanger ending of book one has really tied this group together and goes a long way to show just how entwined these four are and just what each will do to protect the others. Cora was once again a really strong character and I think that I can see where book three is heading, or at least I know how I would write this one going forward. An eye for an eye. A favour called in maybe? Ooooo the possibilities are endless. I cannot wait to see where Eva Ashwood takes these four. All I know is that they belong together. The Lost Boys have helped Cora develop as a person and Cora has grounded them, given them something to wake up for and something to hold on to. Something they've never had. Love this series so far.

Not a bad sequel at all.
✔️ Well-written (especially the sex scenes)

My feelings:
This is a young adult book about a young girl who at the age of 17 find herself going to a new “free” school after her wealthy father was placed in prison for money fraud.\
“Listen up, fuckhead,” he grated in a low, dangerous voice. “I’m only gonna say it once. You’re new, and that’s the only reason you get a pass. But around here, I run shit. Me and my boys do. And Cora? She’s. Off. Limits.”
Now that the boys saved her life and killed someone for her, She need to navigate a relationship with then that has now Bec one last more series than it originally was.
“We won’t let them in, Princess. No one will get in here.” His eyes were hooded as he dragged his plump lower lip between his teeth. “I’ll fuck you so hard against this door, no one will ever get in.”
I love how they all sneak though her window with lame excuses for visiting her.
“How the fuck long is it gonna take you to figure that out, huh, Princess? There is no one else I want. No one but you.”
We are now getting lots of spicy chapters, MMMF and single.
“I am yours. I belong to all three of you, and I always will. And you’re mine.”
Only issue I have with he series so far is that it's so much internal monolog that getting a bit boring. Spicy chapters are great, relationships are great, but not enough action or bullying to be a bully romance.
They were the ocean, beautiful and dangerous, and I was the shore they broke themselves upon.

This is the one when Cordelia realizes just how deep the boys are in this crime business and also how deeply they care for her.
My boy Kase did not hesitate to pull that trigger in the last book and has no regrets now. However, I also loved how we see even more of his softer side behind mountains of muscle and hostility. He's protective and loyal and sweet too. If he wasn't my favorite in the first book, he would be now.
I feel like the whole issue sort of resolved itself. Even after the they were outed for the murder (totally Bish's fault for feeling the need to bring that up), Nicolas kinda just waved it aside, mostly at the prodding of his wife. Turns out all these guys are softies, who would have thought?
Cordelia never gives up on her father, despite him not really deserving her loyalty and went through so much just to see him free. While I'm not surprised by the ending, I hate that was so disappointed. Knowing that everyone was so right about him all along and she is the one to take the brunt of it when she was the one who worked to get him free.

Here is what I have to say about this book….eh. Just eh. Wild Girl was underwhelming AT LEAST. Everything got wrapped up in a few pages with a small cliffhanger at the end.
I still don’t like Cora. She has zero personality. We get it, you have three boyfriends, good for you. I feel like she avoids situations. If she doesn’t acknowledge it, then it’s not an issue. For example, everything that goes on with her mother. I also think possibly she ignores exactly what Kace, Bishop, and Misael do. To be honest, I’m not even sure exactly what they do. Do they just steal from the rich? Plant things in their homes? I really don’t know.
I still really like Kace, even though I am not sure why lol maybe it’s just because he’s sweet to Cora but is still tough at the same time. Same can be said for Bishop. I think Misael was just written for “comic relief”, we have to have that humorous character, I guess. other than him being another mate for Cora to fool around with, I don’t really know why he was there.
I have no idea what is going on with Cora’s family. I am not going to explain because it includes spoilers and I don’t really like typing it out and explaining it. I will say Cora should acknowledge what is going (or even ask what is happening) instead of ignoring it. Out of sight and out of mind only works for a few things. And that only "works" for so long.
I gave the second book a chance because I thought it would be better. It wasn’t. I expected a climax of some sort which you don’t get at all. Cora still has no relationship for the Lost Boys (that’s all she calls them which is weird). All she does is sleep with them and if that is what the third book is about, I’m not interested. I want characters to feel connected with each other and I want something to actually be happening. I was bored with this book.
I am only reading the third book because my friend read it. It’s short and on KindleUnlimited, so why not? Hopefully the third book will surprise me. Fingers crossed.

First of all this is not a bully romance because there's no bullying whatsoever done by the MMCs. As soon as she arrives at the new school, they offer her protection in exchange for becoming theirs. No mention about what exactly that entails and why would they want her if they hate her so much and her father destroyed their lives? They have sex and all that hate magically disappears in a chapter.
Secondly, the heroine is incredibly stupid, she risks her life and the boys' for a father who never cared about her. She wants to meet gangsters to judge their character and see if they are good people?! She wouldn't stand a chance in the real world and we're supposed to believe she's such a strong badass heroine. 😂

Creo que tomé esta trilogía con otra idea en mente. Pensé que sería el típico RH. Ya saben, el primer libro lleno de bullying, el segundo pidiendo perdón y el último todos juntos juntos todos. Peeeeeero, acá todo comenzó y terminó en el primer libro. Nunca pasó el bullying que me prometieron, fue todo de una y me quedaron debiendo lo que esperaba, pasaría en el segundo libro … peeeeero, tampoco pasó 🤣
Ahora ya sé para dónde va la micro como decimos por acá, y no era nada lo que esperaba, pero terminaré la trilogía igual …

This book delivered! The reactions from the boys at Cora's mistakes are refreshing. I love how they protect and care for her and that there isn't any unnecessary drama between their dynamic. I can't wait to see what happens in the final installment!

Loving the Lost
Gah! Okay, I’m reeling after the end of this one and I’m DYING to start the third and final book. I’m in love with this series, that’s all I can say. It’s fantastic, beautifully written and just sucked me in. I loved the first book and the second book is just as amazing, if not better.
Cora and the Lost Boys have returned in this second installment of the Slateview High series. Cora and the Boys are continuing their relationship and continuing to get to know each other while Cora’s father is in prison for fraud. With new characters and old characters, the story progresses and Cora wants to find a way to get her dad freed because she doesn’t believe he did the things he’s being accused of. While she looks deeper, Cora is falling deeper into the Lost Boys world as they protect her from anything and anyone who might do her harm, just not themselves.
There’s so much to say about this book, but no spoilers allowed! I’m so excited to read the final book and see what happens to Cora, the Lost Boys and the rest of the characters, including Cora’s parents.

Holy amazeballs, this book was so freaking good. I am still trying to get my bearings from reading this book. I was literally on an emotional rollercoaster with this book.
Cora, Bish, Miseal and Kace pick up where they left off in Lost Boys. Their relationship changed after that night. It seems that it has deepens with each of them. Their chemistry is off the charts and is freaking hot. Cora is still trying to deal with her father being in prison. She also stumbles on other information that almost destroys her. So what is she going to do with this information. Does she finally tell the guys about what she is doing about her father. Does she get help? What will happen?!?
Well if you want to know you will need to read it. It does leave in a cliffhanger so be prepared to do some yelling. This is the second book and it is awesome. You will not be disappointed with this book.

A bit unexpected but good
After the shocking ending of the previous book,
now Cordelia and the lost boys have a lot of things to do,
Flint's gone and the more they have problems there's also a new boy at school
I liked Lost Boys then this book was no disappointment to me either,
although I liked Cordelia's first book as a character more.
It was interesting exciting violent, secrets, trust,
unexpectedness and of course hot scenes and love 🔥🔥🔥🔥
But unfortunately, the book ended with such a turn
What will be the last book I think it will be exciting and full of love ❤️❤️❤️

I liked Lost Boys then this book was no disappointment to me either,
although I liked Cordelia's first book as a character more.
It was interesting exciting violent, secrets, trust,
unexpectedness and of course hot scenes and love 🔥🔥🔥🔥
But unfortunately, the book ended with such a turn
What will be the last book I think it will be exciting and full of love ❤️❤️❤️

I tried, I really did... I finish book 1 and started book 2 hoping Cora would grow up a bit. The way book 1 ended was due to her being naive, rash and let's face it a bit selfish. At 34% she is making the same mistake and to make it worse the guys are going along. I cannot.

Overall I enjoyed the book.
Ava has definitely come into her own. And the guys of course protect her at all cost. I can’t believe the cliffy and I’m excited to see what comes next!

An okay follow up.
I really like the harem dynamic. But the plot is too weak to justify so many books. This seems to be a trend with this author for me, as I found this to also be the case with her Dirty Broken Savages series. As with that series, I love the harem dynamic because they love to share and there's minimal drama within the actual relationships. But the outside drama isn't strong enough to carry the story over more than one (or two at most) books.
Cora is not my favorite. She is pretty dumb and naive. I still don't find her annoying, per se. But I don't really like her either.
The guys are sweet, but I'd like to see them with a little more dominance and grit. I was just hoping for them to be more rough around the edges and they are a little too mushy for Cora in my opinion.
I kind of figured Cora would end up back in her old life and she'd have to figure out how to navigate that. So I'm curious how the next book will go with the forced engagement. Yuck. I hate those.
Overall it was okay. The steam could've been steamier, but also wasn't the worst. I hope the pacing of the next book is a little faster. Not a bad series, but kind of middle of the road at this point.

I have no clue how people like this series...
I didn't quite understand how things were happening in the first book but still read it and gave the series a chance. I saw it multiple times on tiktok and was really excited to read it. I wish I hadn't.
The story telling was so bad. There were almost no side characters and even Liam and Jessica were mentioned for a few paragraphs and that's it. They had no purpose at all.
I was so bored waiting for something to happen and show me why peple were recommending it. Nothing worth mentioning happened.
Why the Lost Boys decided to protect her was never explained. They clearly didn't like her at first ,then by some miracle they decided to protect her. They never bullied her or showed they hated her ,so why this series was recommended as a highschool bully romance is beyond me.
Also , the mom OVERDOED and cordelia faints in the first book , and yet we don't know how or when she fainted , how she got to the hospital , she never visited her mother in her room at the hospital , absolutely nothing. It was as if her mother almost dying was not worth talking about much in the book. Like..what???
The smut was good ,I'll give the author that. But that's it. There was nothing else good about this book.
There was no plot twists , no good events, no excitement , NOTHING!
I do not recommend this to anyone who wants an actual good plot when reading books.

Yeah no. I‘m done with this series.
Remember how I praised the author for real-life consequences in the first book? Well apparently she forgot how to do that.
Some of my main issues.
The “mafia” is way too benevolent. The kingpin takes pity on them because his wife asks him to, even though they murdered one of his men? The wife takes a liking to Cora after speaking to her for five seconds, because she somehow sees herself in her? She must be one hell of an empath or Cora is just an open book — which is not the best thing when mixing with the mafia.
Cora is a hypocrite, berating Kace for being impulsively violent, when she herself regularly flies off the handle regularly and even punches people in the face. Does that not count, just because she doesn’t pack as much force?
Cora, and in lesser manner also the guys, act really naive, mixing in things they should leave in peace or blabbing about killing Flint. I mean, how stupid are they? That should’ve had way worse consequences.
The guys are utterly enamoured with Cora and I still don’t understand how quickly they came away from their hatred for her.

Well after that cliffhanger of Lost Boys. Wild Girl picks up where it left off. Coralee as her boys call her has a whole new dilemma to deal with after what her boys had to do to protect her. She realizes that she is in love with Bish, Kate and Misael and now its her turn to protect them. She is getting more mature as the story goes on and comes into her own and stands by what she believes in. She gets her self into some trouble trying to find info that proves that her father was set up. Her mother makes me mad with how she acts and what she does. Then her father is finally released and all charges dropped then they get their house and everything back that they lost. Sent back her to her old school and missing her boys her parents throw another bombshell at her. She is now engaged to Barrett King the creep she meets in the beginning of book 1. Can't wait to read the 3rd book. This is a good series and you won't be disappointed!

I read this whole series in FOUR DAYS. I am obsessed with the way the characters are complete opposites, but the same.
Cora was innocent, pure, and "perfect" in the beginning. Bishop is the more serious, business-like man. Kace was more violence than talk. Finally, Misael was more of the quiet, yet goofy one.
All their connections, the shared and equal time Cora spent with each one of the boys. This book took you for turns.
"Wild Girl" ended with us, the readers, finding out that Cora's father was let out of jail and that she would be moving back "home". But, this takes us for a rollercoaster ride. From the sneaking around, to finding out she was engaged, to the lying, the gunshots, the secret fathers, and business deals, lastly to the wedding.
The only thing I wish was that Ava could have been added in. I wished the whole book that there would be some reason she left. Possibly Cora's dad payed her off or threatened her, but Ava just disappeared.

3.5 ⭐️ I liked this book. I don’t think a book has ever made me feel so deeply for characters until now. The last quarter of the book really hit home for me, and the cliffhanger got me. Even though I did like it, this book was not enough to be a 4 or 5 star read. I was able to notice that Cora’s mom was in an affair many chapters before it was revealed, it still reads like a Wattpad book to me, and it felt like mostly filler up until the last quarter of the book. The twists and action all comes towards the end of the book, at least for me, which I don’t like very much. I was only half-surprised at the cliffhanger at the end. I was constantly thinking that Cora’s dad did have some reason why he was in prison, and that just proved my gut feeling. The book is pretty predictable, but I still liked it and this series has gotten me out of a reading slump. I wish it was more fast-paced, but it’s still pretty good. And the spice is always amazing, which I can’t argue with.

What if the lost boys came to know about her plans for redemption of a man who doesn't deserve it. Can they keep their promise to protect her when things turn south???
This book is gets ahead in making bond between cordiala and the lost boys stronger and more loving as the book move forwards .
It perfectly showcases how trust is important in any relationship combined with steamy sex scenes it's a treat to read for every bad boy romance lover . eva-ashwood

Stop, why was this so cute?
I genuinely felt like the romance developed so well. The first book missed the mark on that needed spark, but this book did it so well that I could feel the love. Misael definently still felt like a secondary character but idc.
I love her character development as well as how she was able to make a family with the boys. The contrast between the happiness she felt with them and nothing and her new family with the sadiness and everything really pushed the idea on how being happy and being with your people are so much more important.
Why did Bish admit to Flint. That was so dumb. Im waiting for the other shoe to drop with Nathaniel.
I felt like all 3 of them developed separately but also together with her.

Well shoot...without having to but the spoiler button on this review I'll try to keep it as vague as possible.
The dad is a dickhead. Period.
The chemistry is still there. The boys are great. Kace is still my 💙💙.
This book got four stars from me again because, like book one, there was a lot of "telly" of what they were doing and for days afterwards. I'm more of a "let's get into the moment" kinda gal.
One of the boys keeps getting shafted in this book but I won't say who because of that dang spoiler button BUT he does have these singular scenes with Cora that I like. My is only issue with that is, are we doing that because he barely does anything else? 😒

"Teenagers are stupid." Nathaniel's word basically summed up this book. There was some real bonehead moves like the guys deciding to go after Eli for info. Eli had no motivation to tell them anything. Then Bish lets a huge secret slip? Sorry but that didn't ring true that the Lost Boys would make such a stupid mistake given the life they lived. Cora's still dumb and makes stupid decisions like revealing herself to Nathaniel and the guys going along with her plan. But I'll just mark it don't as teen nonsense cause they're still 16-17. Her parents are officially the worst. This author writes amazing steamy scenes though and the storyline's intriguing enough that I'll read the final book.

I honestly just don't care enough to continue. I really wanted to like this series but there is just NOTHING to it. I am content with not having a plot as long as the relationship is strong enough to carry the story and it just wasn't. The sucky part is that everything had so much potential. The makings of a good plot were there but nothing ever happened. And any kind of conflict was resolved before we even had time to let the conflict sink in. The makings of a good relationship were there but all we ever got was sex. I feel like there wasn't any relationship building between the guys and Cora. I just needed more from them.

1.5 not due to hate/dislike of the book, simply due to it being boring and utterly forgettable. I thought the first book was better. It was quick, but still fun and had a better plot, but this one felt like it was so watered down. We didn’t get to know the characters any better - the guys or the mc. They’re all basically a mystery still. The plot was barely there and quite laughable. Honestly it was a short book so I’m not too upset about it, but overall, this was just boring. I have no plans to finish this series since nothings holding my attention.
