Assassin's Creed is one of my favourite series that I think it is underrated. Everyone associates Assassin's Creed with the video games and that is pretty natural but the books that came from them are very very good.
They are full of action, fast-paced and there is a very fascinating plot throughout the series. The covert war between two secret organizations, the Templars order and the Brotherhood of the Assassins, has been raging for millennia and we get to witness this story through the ages.
This edition contains everything you need to know about the Assassin's Creed universe.
I have only read the books and just watched my husband play the games and I find this book excellent. It is very well constructed with all the information and gorgeous photos from the games.

If you are a fan of the Assassin' Creed universe I highly recommend you to check this book out.

Assassin’s Creed: The Essential Guide propels readers deep inside the expansive universe of the hit video game series

Review by C.J. Bunce

Gigantic and worthy of the expansive universe it chronicles, Assassin’s Creed: The Essential Guide is one of the better visual histories in the fantasy and science fiction genres. Titan Books has released a full-color expanded hardcover edition, updating a 2016 edition with plenty of new content, including new sections and the incorporation of recent storylines. In a word, it’s a comprehensive look at Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed for past gamers and new gamers, and readers of its many tie-in stories, or anyone wanting to know what the game, and tie-in film, novels, and comic books, are all about.

This book has a tremendous amount of information on the series in all formats. I would have preferred there be a bit more emphasis on the characters and history and less on the Isu technology. There were entire pages devoted to things that only needed a small piece and some larger topics that needed more space.

A must-read in my opinion for fans of this franchise. It covers the entirety of the series up to and including Odyssey (it was released prior to Valhalla) and serves as an effective refresher on previous titles whilst also exploring information that may be less familiar.
It also succeeded in renewing my appreciation of the series's sci-fi elements, including the precursors and modern day storylines.
It also covers information for those who may not have been interested in reading the comics.
Glad I bought this. It might not be as essential for those who aren't already invested in the franchise, but fans will enjoy.

It does seem to have several typos throughout, unfortunately, which is slightly disappointing from such a big publisher.

Not much to say, a good AC encyclopedia. Nice artwork and good descriptions. Cool for a fan of Assassin's Creed, like me 😎😂.

Not a fan? Then I would stick with just the official novels. Those novels are even something for people that never have played one of the games.

This book is pretty much based around the games, comics and the 2016 movie.

Overall a 7/10
