The most important book I read this year. Highly recommend this Bible reading plan if you’re interested in reading through the Bible in a year! There’s no requirement to read the Bible in a year, but it is a challenge and will grow you! In this plan, you read a bit from the Old Testament, a bit from the New Testament, a Psalm, and a Proverb. It was a nice change of pace from a chronological study. Very manageable! I had the physical book but you can also read through using the Bible app!
I love my ESV Daily Bible! It holds the best truths I read all year and makes such a difference in so many days in my life! I’ve had this Bible for many years now. The type is very readable, and the layout is too! There’s no commentary or notes, just God’s Word! Over the years I find, having a consistency in reading through Gods Word, that while He is to be feared, for He is holy and perfectly just, He loves and forgives and gives hope through giving us His holiness through salvation, His Word and His Spirit. That is the story here. Each day has an Old Testament and New Testament reading, with a portion of a Psalm and Proverbs (reading all Psalms and Proverbs twice through the year the OT and NT entirely once). I have learned that if I miss days, to not play catch-up, but pick up on the scheduled day of the year. From year to year, the truths I learn from history and about God build on each other. I will use this daily Bible until it falls apart, and then I will buy it again!
