GHOSTS CAN HAUNT THE LIVING...King and Slater are independent operators, outlawed from their government for good, free to deliver vigilante justice to those who need it most. Las Vegas, with its murky history and seedy underworld, serves as the perfect hunting ground. Below the hedonism, away from the bright lights and alluring fantasy, there's an entrenched web of corruption. They offer their services to a woman about to serve a decade in prison for a crime she didn't commit, and what begins with the infiltration of an unlicensed club in Chinatown unravels into an all-out war against retired cops, bent judges, a sociopathic District Attorney and the legion of hired muscle who serve them. It's a good thing King and Slater are bred for mayhem...What readers are saying about King & Slater: ★★★★★ - "Slater and King working together is a whole new adventure. Twice as much death and destruction. Twice as much adventure and excitement."★★★★★ - "Separately, forces to be reckoned with: together, virtually unstoppable."★★★★★ - "Two of the best warriors I've met in a long while. Can't wait to see who they tackle next time."★★★★★ - "It was absolutely fantastic. Loved every minute and I had a hard time putting it down. The action never stops."★★★★★ - "This book was a treat from start to finish. I continue to be amazed by Matt's ability to come up with truly creative situations for our beloved King and Slater to be thrown into."★★★★★ - "I think you'll understand what makes them tick. The deepest part of their hearts are exposed."★★★★★ - "Jason and Will together. What could be better? Powerful, tense, emotional and fast-paced."★★★★★ - "Two minds that are so coordinated makes for excitement whatever they do. Matt's really hit one out of the park with this book."★★★★★ - "The ensuing combat takes on more importance as family, treachery, and the sheer volume of corruption are factored in."

Complete Corruption Involving Cops,Lawyers And Young Women..King,Slater And Their Girlfriends Respond!!

Wowza! What an exciting story! It is Impossible to put down this author's writing once I start reading! His books pull me in so quickly, and this beauty is no exception. A judge so corrupt, and he thinks he's great, causing pain and incarceration to many. Selling young girls and boys for the night or across seas for life, with dirty cops, lawyers, and drug dealers assisting in a horrific scene.
King finds himself doing a double-take at a woman in the park, seeing she looks quite like his partner,Violetta. He soon learns a disgusting tale and that gets him weighing his options. Before he goes in his door the decision is made, help is coming for this woman and her missing daughter.
Action, adventure, good and bad sides of people are revealed through what they go through. We see a new side to the girlfriends, as they are alone when their home is attacked, as decisions need to be made quickly and the result is for ever!
A simply thrilling story that will keep you reading faster, and then satisfying end completes your day. A 5 STAR story that needs to be read, by all who enjoy fantastic action-adventure!

Amazing

This book starts off with the villains plotting to make someone’s life miserable, and throughout the book, we see the villains point of view, and the heroes point of view. It’s very well written, well researched novel. Would 100% recommend

What do you do when the sheriff, the DA and the judge are all corrupt? You take matters into your own hands.

The story also throws light on the character of Slater - his transition into civil life and the ability to keep his beast at bay.

TIMELY

The theme of the story is one which should sicken everyone. Human trafficking is just a more civil phrase for SLAVERY! Although the author took some liberty with the story line for literary purpose the description of methods used in this horrendous trade are quite accurate. The depictions of the traffickers are accurate also if not understated.
I have to credit the author for spinning a tale that engages the reader and captures the essence of both morality and immortality concerning this horrific practice.
Slater and King are arch foils used to combat and meet out biblical justice to the purveyors of depravity, greed, and power. One cannot help but wish such hero’s exist.

Great reads

I am thoroughly impressed with the writing of Matt Rogers i read for fun and relaxation and re!vacation and often times predictability when I pick up a Rogers book it's because I know that it's going to be fun to read have the twists that keep me coming back to check out the most recent books and follow along to the end not only in this series but others he has written if one is looking for good adventure i n the real world he is excellent. I also read Patterson Cromwell and many others of the same pathway and I say that if one is looking for straight up adventure action and enjoyable reading with a few twists this series and some of his other series make it easy to get caught up in make the day a reading marathon

King & Slayer crush a city hall cartel

Human trafficking touches them through a woman they don't know but King & Slayer pursue the injustice with their usual passion. Three villains are linked to control the justice world in Vegas. The twists & turns are many and the reader will expect the ending but you'll like it.

Struggled with authenticity

This book had some parts that didn’t match the bounds of common sense. Particularly, continuing on a broken ankle for a period of hours, while being in combat-like environments.
Also, toooooo much drama and word play between the protagonists. Yes, discuss the emotions, but don’t beat it to death.

It was exciting and thrilling. Now it's a team that's courageous and outstanding. I was happy for Alexis that now she can definitely take care of herself.

A turn of events

G'day Matt. Have enjoyed all your previous reads with the exception if the last two.
Once you brought in a new dynamic of the two lad's Ladies it all got a bit too mushy for me. But thanks for the previous journeys.

Pageturner...

Great characters, the main ones and even side players. Hooked on the series and even more hooked on the author! The books are formulaic but it is a winning combination of suspense, action and good dialogue. Keep 'em coming Matt!

This is another action-filled novel that imagines corrupt judicial and political situations involving human trafficking in and around Las Vegas and I cannot believe all their slaughter of adversaries happens without any repercussions.
