I could be a little obsessive, but when I found myself searching his Internet history, even I knew I was crossing a line.
--------- From NEW YORK TIMES Bestselling & Award-Winning Author Selena Kitt --------- What would you do, if you found out your husband was secretly calling into phonesex lines? Confront him? Throw him out? Divorce him?
Nope! Instead of getting angry, curious Tara decides to start listening in on John’s steamy conversations. She can’t help herself, because her laconic husband has never shared a fantasy with his wife during their entire marriage. But it turns out he’s been leading a double life, telling other women what he really wants in the bedroom!
When a frustrated Tara turns to her best friend, Kelly, for advice, her much more adventurous partner-in-crime hatches a plan to bring John and Tara together. Once the trap is set, using Kelly as bait, the two women spring it on one unsuspecting man whose fantasies are about to become a very sexy reality.

This is a story about a couple that has been married for three years. John and Tara have a good marriage. He works hard at his accounting business and Tara stays home. They have a pretty vanilla sex life even though Tara has been asking John about his fantasies. She has checked his computers, both at home and at work, for any porn sites that he may have gone to. She just wants to know what he fantasizes about so she can make it happen for him. One day when she got the mail, she noticed that the phone bill was kind of thick. Being that John handles all the bills, she never noticed. This time she opened it and noticed that there were plenty of calls going on between 1:30 and 3:30 am. Being that Tara is a sound sleeper, who knows what goes on around her. One night she woke up to the bed moving a bit and John mumbling something. She liked what she heard but was afraid to join in. One night she woke up and John wasn't in bed. She picked up the bedroom extension and listened in. She was able to learn a lot about things that he likes.
Tara's married friend, Kelly, suggested a few things and then told her that maybe it is the Madona/Whore complex. Men want to marry a 'good girl' but want to mess around with a 'whore'. Tara told her that she wants to break out of being the good girl he always thinks she is and get him to share with her what he wants. She will do anything to make him happy.

Our couple is happily married, but like many couples, their sex life has become rather stale. How can our heroine get her husband to open up and bring some spice back into their life?
This is a steamy romantic novel about a couple trying to keep the spark going. The story is very well written and easy to read, with a plot that is both straightforward and perhaps a little too close to reality. The characters are heart of the story and have been well developed in order to bring the story to life. I really liked our heroine and her approach to spicing things up. Overall, the story was highly enjoyable, yet another successful entry from our author.
Highly recommended.

A wife who just wants to be wanted and needed like most of us.Woman have fantasies about what and how we want it, but sometimes afraid to ask for it .this was a journey of one woman quest to find out what she wants.and how she goes about getting it was a great read love all of selena kitt books. Highly recommend it
Ok, this one had me guessing at just where Selena was going. I was expecting a hotwife story but instead it was a hot wife story. Selena hit several fetishes with her erotic scenarios as the wife worked hard to find and play out the husbands fantasies. Writing was good as always as she kept it hot on almost every page. Everyone had fun here.
I have read a few books by this author and never been disappointed in the plot. This one was absolutely fantastic how right from the start it drew me into the plot. Great interaction between the characters. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book via Booksprout.
Wow what a rush. Sometimes a wife has to go to drastic measures to keep things fresh. Fun naughty story about how far a woman will go to keep her relationship fresh.
It seems to me that Selena Kitt has been re-releasing a lot of her books as of late. Sometimes those books were originally published under another name, sometimes she’s giving them a new title. (This one was originally Bluebeard’s Wife.) Regardless, I’ve had the opportunity to review quite a few this year. I don’t always have the time to take advantage of those opportunities, but I try to when I can. I feel erotica often gets a bad reputation and is fodder for jokes. I haven’t loved everything I’ve read by this author (oddly, it’s her non-erotica stories I seem to struggle with) but find that she’s a solid writer overall. Of both erotica and erotic romance.
What’s that? You thing erotica is the same thing as erotic romance? I beg to differ. In my opinion, erotica is a story written to titillate. A lot of authors seem to think it’s okay to just slap something together that has sex in it and they’re done. They are the authors that give erotica the stigma of bad writing. This author still gives an underlying story to her erotica and writes all of her scenes well, whether those scenes are an innocent interaction or one of the erotic scenes. But the main point of the story is sex and not a love story. Selena Kitt writes good erotica.
On the other hand, erotic romance has a central love story. Yes, sex will also drive these stories. But there is a well thought out and plotted romance at the core of these books. Selena Kitt also writes good erotic romance.
Although this story is about a married couple, I am classifying it as erotica. This isn’t a love story as much as a “let’s find the fire again” story. And there is a lot of sex and sexual situations, especially for Tara. And that is the driving force of this story…sex. I enjoyed the fact that she was open (or at least trying to be open) about her sexuality. So much so that she practically begged her husband to share his fantasies, but he’s too straight-laced to really open up to her. That doesn’t mean John doesn’t have fantasies and kinks, he’s just uncomfortable sharing them.
As Tara finds ways to bring her husbands inner kinky man out, she embarks on her own journey of what feels good to her. I’m not a fan of cheating scenarios so there were scenes that were a bit uncomfortable for me. What’s funny though is I don’t believe the characters themselves looked at those situations as cheating. (Side Note: I’m not talking about swinging or sharing, it’s not cheating when both partners are aware and okay with the situation.)
Bottom line, if you’re looking for a well-written erotica story then look no further.

Selena Kitt is an incredible author! She writes stories that grabs ur attention and keeps you turning the pages. My problem with this book is it's not my style. I prefer stories where romance holds the couple together. In this book the sex drives the story. Not a surprise The Lustful Wife is pretty exact title and excellent title for this story. We have happily married couple whose wife can't ask her husband to share his sexual fantasy life. They have good marriage but their love 💘 life is not what either is thrilled about. Rather than talk to her husband she listens in on his sex calls. Eye opening stuff. Again rather than talking she starts giving him his fantasies! Poor man is rocked by his wife's incredibly sexy New clothes, under clothing ,sexy adventurousness . She provides his fantasies- dressing in sexy eye catching clothes, underwear Vanity Fair Models would drool over! It's got some sex scenes that may be triggers but there's no nonconsenual sex and they are married! It's a lot of fun and characters are both well written and interesting. Even her spying on her husband to find out his fantasies is well told. I did get a free copy to read in return for writing honest review. I'd probably come over and mop the floors for Ms. Kitts to get early copy of her books 😃😇 I hope you enjoy it because it's a non-stop good read. SnowGoddess Or Snootyfx
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Tara and John. They are married and Tara wants John to share his fantasies with her, but he refuses. Tara is getting frustrated with him and decides to snoop in hopes of discovering what he wants. Tara finds John has been calling sex hotlines during the night and she decides to listen to him. Tara learns John is into a lot of wild things and she is excited to try and get him to tell her about it. tara tells her best friend Kelly about them and together they plan how to get John to open up. I liked this book and the storyline. I wasn't really a fan of Tara cheating with Kelly or Kelly's sister in law. I am not a fan of cheating in books. I think Tara wanted to be closer to John and liked she wanted to bring his fantasies to life for him. This was a very steamy book that i thought could have been better without the cheating.
4.5 stars Looking for a way to add a little spice to your life, then this is one storyline that will have those juices flowing pretty quickly. Tara loves her husband John but she has been thinking about adding more excitement to her love life. The problem is John appears to not have any complaints about his sex life nor does he have any fantasies that he wants to share with his wife. You know when you have that feeling that something is just off? Well, the surprise is on Tara when she accidentally overhears a conversation between her husband and another woman delving into John’s fantasies. What is a wife to do? Get into a little trouble by upping the ante and giving as good as she gets to get what she wants from her man. This is one steamy read from cover to cover. Tara is looking to understand John's fantasies on the phone. In the last weeks, she had discovered that John goes to his office in the basement every night to masturbates over the phone. She would like if he was sharing those fantasies with her. She wants to be part of his fantasies, she wants to get the main role in them. And then, she takes care of her one needs whit her best girlfriend. The problem is that I am not particularly attracted to Lesbian's encounter (between Kally and Tara) so I liked part of this book.

She is a wife who wants to be wanted just like every women does in every relationship. The difference is she is very secure in herself, but she is confused as to why her husband will not talk to her about his fantasies. This is the journey of how she goes about making his and her fantasies come to true plus make their relationship richer. I found it to be enjoyable and true to life. I loved the relationship she had with her best friend as well. Everyone needs someone to talk to and plan with even if it might get you in trouble. The story was hot and a steamy read

The Lustful Wife. This book was intense! It goes beyond steamy sexy. This book made me think of what some marriages go through when they hit a slump or the couple aren't honest with their feelings about sex. Men have one idea about sex and women have their own. They turn into fantasies in their minds but may never come to fruition because of fear. Tara and her friend took it into their own hands to find out if they could get John to act on his fantasies. I don't think I've ever read a book so quick. This was definitely a page turned and a panty wetter. Tara loves her husband but wants a little more eroticism in her life. Her husband John seems to be happy with what they have though and until Tara picked up the phone one day she didn't know otherwise. John has been spilling his fantasies out just not to his wife. But this is Ok for Tara when she decides to play them out for him after each of his phone calls. Hot read and hot scenes.

Wow! What a sexy and erotic journey into keeping a marriage edgy. This book is well written and flies from page to page until you reach the end
Packed full of detailed sexual encounters, all supported with a depth of emotion, this book is not aimed at any ready under 18 or not open to graphic sexual exploration.
Definitely, hot to the nth degree.

I have never read a book quite like this. Extremely sensual, entertaining, hot as sin, and a funny story to boot. Tara has been married for three years and wants to know all of her husband’s fantasies but all he says is they are all about you. But when she catches him on late night phone calls with a phone sex operator she decides to take matters into her own hands. Entertaining and funny at times. You go girl. Get your husband back.
Tara has been trying to get her husband to tell her about his fantasies. John, Tara’s husband, doesn’t want to share his fantasies with his wife. Tara tells her best friend, Kelly, so that she can get some advice from her on what to do. Tara with Kelly’s help gets John hot for her in many ways that will make you hot also. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Tara and John have been married for a couple of years and she wants to improve their sex life. She discovers he has been calling a phone sex line and discovers he has many fantasies. She does not confront him about this, just secretly listens in on his calls. Through this process, she discovers herself sexually as well.

Fun, steamy and over-the-top, this is a enjoyable read. I thought the characters were likable, the plot was interesting and the heat level is high. I liked this book but I would have liked it more if there had been more emotional depth to it. Still, if you want something spicy this is a good choice. This is my honest, voluntary review.
