I always love Cecilia Lane's books for her ability to pull me completely into a story that contains the right amount of romance and drama. Maylee has lived a cruel life thus far, on the run with her niece from her former pack after the death of her twin. She rolled into town, desperate and alone, and was immediately taken by Ellis protective yet gentle nature. Ellis was also jaded from his past but couldn't help his interest in the young mother and her cub. I loved how obsessed and protective he was towards both Mayle and Esme; Ellis truly would do anything to protect his family, even if he couldn't keep them. Ending another series by C. Lane was bittersweet, but I still have more books to tackle!🖤

This endearing series about three wolves who are bad boys and saved by their mates ends with the story of Ellis. When bear shifter Maylee walks into the Dark Horse had with baby Esme, she captivates Ellis. The big guy is the bouncer for the bar. When other bears come after her, he learns she is running from her old clan because the Alpha had murdered her twin sister his mate. It is quite a story. I highly recommend this series.

If I had the option to give a half star, I'd have gone with 3.5 stars for this book. I found this book so much better than the last book. Usually shifters aren't my thing, but this book had me on the edge of my seat several times and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Maylee find her happily ever after with the wolf shifter.

They meet when she shows up needing help to escape the bad guys. And these are BAD guys.
Ellis is a BIG, strong wolf, just what Maylee needs.
The story is action packed from start to finish. I loved the pace and flow. I recommend this story and series.

Running
She was running to save her sister baby and he fell like a ton of bricks when she showed up in his pack bar. He was going to protect them with his pack help. She ran when her ex clan showed up again , he followed and they both were caught and taken to the clan territory. They escape fought, liked the alpha who killed her sister and was able to leave.

He’s a bad boy. He has tats and a body that is tall, wide and filled with muscles. His past is dark but he tries for a better future. She is a loving woman that will do anything to protect her baby niece. They are also both shifters. Danger and fate will have them cross paths. Expect fighting and romance throughout the book.

Loved these "Bad Dads". I was a little late to the party with Ellis, but it was a great read. I literally couldn't put this book down!

Ellis and Maylee are in a pickle. She's his newfound mate but she's in the run from her bear clan. Protecting her and her little cub niece will push his wolf to its limits. Great ending to the series.

Absolutely Amazing and definitely worth more than five stars if I could I would have given it ten stars. Exciting Twist and turns that will keep you intrigued until the very end.

Ellis is the last single male in his new little pack. He is as broken mentally as his two pack mates. Then in walks in Maylee and baby Esme. They are in need of a family and from his first well smell of her he is hooked. They have some things to work out but they have a family if they do.

Loved it!
The story was realistic in so many ways. It was easy to read. The bad boys, and girls all have their kick butt side and their sweet side. I love the HEA.

BOURBON AND BEARS is the third book in the Shifters and Sin series. Each story will stand on its own, but even better when you know all three of these couples and how they have become a pack.
Ellis has to be my favorite anti-hero of the Rawlins pack. He has been so broken by life that he doesn’t believe that anyone could choose him for more than a night. Hiding his emotional scars and his heart while hiding two little ladies he wants to protect from the world just proves to be his undoing.
When lies lead to the truth, Ellis and Maylee find trust easier to give and receive. Isn’t that the truth in life! That is the story of redemption for so many in books and in life.
I loved the humor, the reality, and even the terror that lead to their happily-ever-after that came from mutual respect and much as it came from their animals knowing they were mates.

It was a pleasure to read this beautiful shifter romance. I found the story-line & plot interesting, well thought-out & written, it had me turning pages in anticipation of where the story would lead. The characters are well developed and entwine well with each other with regards to the situation they find themselves in and react with believable emotional feelings.

I just love reading Cecelia’s stories, they have you entranced, especially this big bad brutes who think they’re not worthy or capable of love and trusting anyone. Ellis is definitely a man who can’t trust and has been betrayed by love and family before, how can he trust a woman with a baby and so many secrets, he feels the lies, but she appears to speak the truth. With his wolf tearing him apart for Maylee, he’s trapped. Maylee has watched her sister suffer and die from mating, why would she ever choose, or want a mate, especially when she has a baby she needs to protect from his father, a promise she made to her sister before she died. But there are consequences when Maylee is caught in her mistruths by the man her Bear wants.

An absolute gem and definitely worth the read, Ms. Lane continues to regale us with these captivating Bad Alpha Dads. In this, the third in the series, we get to know Ellis better, as he struggles to overcome his emotional scars while protecting two unknown females who wander into his territory, dragging trouble along with them. But Ellis is no stranger to war, and his wolf knows these two are important. Will he manage to keep them safe? Or will both Maylee and Esme fall prey to their pasts?
Lots of excitement and suspense, emotions and heat, this book will have you on the edge of your seat. Well paced and the perfect length to relax with. Loved it and can hardly wait for the next in this series.

A great page turner that I couldnt put down!!
Maylee and Ellis will grab your attention with their characters. One wolf, one bear but both most definitely have issues, lol. Ellis is growl worthy hot, a badass biker, but also wound tighter than a drum. while Maylee is mild but determined, is about ready to jump out of her skin with fear at any given moment.
Neither believes in mates, for totally different reasons, but both believe a child should always be protected, even from their own blood kin if necessary, and Maylee's former clan is definitely cruel and gruesome. And that's only the beginning...

She did what she promised her twin and that fucker Dustin deserves soooo much worse than what he got since he got a little easy but the other bears should have investigate what she said instead of following a bad alpha that don't care about anyone but himself. He hitched about her not giving him a male but Simone should have thrown it in his face that the male decides the sex of the baby!! He is a kick a as enforcer and he kept all his promises he made. He is finally part of the "fathers" in the am pack instead of him being on the outside looking in. I sooooo hope that she'll add more special people in the sm pack and make it grow asap!!

This story of redemption, for Ellis, and regaining the ability to trust, for Maylee, is a heart wrenching yet hopeful tale. These characters and especially little Esme steel your heart. Even with the serious storyline Ellis and Maylee have a sense of humor that made me smile. Since we already knew the supporting characters this book had a big feel, with just the right amount of action, angst, sexy times, and a sweet falling in love story.

Totally and thoroughly entertaining
This is a well written self contained story that’s also part of a series. This is the second book about Charity and part of the DDVN world. I believe all the main players in the DDVN world makes an appearance in this book.
This book is about Charity’s survival, about her magic and getting her to her people in time to save her. A lot of things are happening on the chessboard of this world.
I loved this book as well as this series.

Ellis believes his past prevents him from having a future. Then Maylee comes in the bar with a baby on her hip and everything changes. Can he be the person she needs? Maylee isn't looking for a mate that's the last thing she wants after watching her twin slowly use her zest for life after her mate supposedly loved her. If that was love she wanted nothing to do with it. Maylee is running trying to protect her niece and has no where else to go. Will Ellis protect her or will she be able to trust him?

Well written exciting story full of suspense and steam
This was such a great read! Well paced, the story flowed perfectly, kept me glued, and had me emotionally invested in the characters. Ellis and Maylee have a lot of trust issues to deal with but the drama, action, angst and romance sure helped sort that out. And little Esme! Too cute! This really was a sweet story, with all the feels. Well done, Ms. Lane!

Maylee Knocks Ellis For A Loop
Maylee is protecting Esme from her old clan that are just plain bad, evil. She runs into a bar where she see Ellis for the first time and both are aware but both deny that they just met their mate. Loved this book. Loved Ellis want one of my own. Maylee is strong and they both are willing to take the next step. You'll have to read to see what that is.

This was a great read that I found it hard to put down.
These two are perfect for each other and the little one is so adorable.
Spend some time reading this and you will enjoy it as much as I did.
Really hope there is another one in this series, its becoming addictive.

Read this one front to back without stopping. Stayed up past my bedtime.
