What do you do when a wolf is chasing you? Your first instinct is to run, but this isn’t your typical wolf. It’s my husband. I’ll have to do more than run but don’t worry, I have a few tricks up my sleeve. I’ll need them because it’s clear he has some of his own. How else does someone end up married and never remember saying I do?
When I got my twin sister to pretend to be me, I thought I got a head start on the running part. I should have known that my new husband Victor Wolf wouldn’t be far behind. Maybe some part of me did know.
I’m afraid all I’ve done in trying to get away from him is whet his appetite for me more. . . And maybe this time, I want him to catch me.
2.25 stars ⭐️ i’m currently bored from reading about characters getting to know each other for the first time, falling in love and end their story w an epilogue that includes a marriage and kids. i mean the HEA can’t just end there, right? that formula is not doing it for me at the moment.
i want a romance that sets in a marriage where the couples face marital issues like normal ppl and then (hopefully) find themselves back to each other or whatever.
Although this novella had one of the elements i was looking for, it wasn’t exactly what i thought it was :/
pls recommend if you’ve got one bcs i’m draining myself out zzz
Mackenzie knew what she was doing when she asked her sister to trade places, she is in deep she married Victor Wolf and she doesn't remember how, her husband is a sneak. Now shes hiding out at q beach getting somewhat updates from her sister when victor shows up. And shes wondering how he found her again lol.
As for victor he said no matter what it his wifey runs he chasing he knows shes a runner do to her parents. But he always showing her he there.
When they have a night she runs again but he knows she did and he stays away for few but makes sure he always has eyes on her. And she finally had enough she tired of pushing him away and running so she taking her man.
I was tired of the running away.. that's the only reason it was lower rating.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, Slight secondary chara, sexy times, virgin gal no manwhore (didnt say his history)

Wolfe is an Alpha male but he also is head over heels in love with his wife. Everything and I mean everything he could possibly do to make her his number one priority is a given. Some may call it stalking but I call it love.
Mackenzie is on the run from her husband. How he’s her husband is another dilemma altogether. There was no ceremony, no engagement. But suddenly she finds herself answering to wife. Okay our lead may have slipped a certificate into paperwork she was signing but what else could he do? She’s the one, now he just needs to pin her down and convince her.
Get ready to be hunted, this Wolfe has his prey in his sight.
"Return to Me" is the story of MacKenzie and Victor.
Soooo heroine finds herself married to a stalker hero, but has no memory of it. She keeps running and trying to fool him by making her twin sister stand in for her- he isnt fooled and keeps chasing her. Its a confusing mess with drama, sex and HEA.
Smutty novella where the hero has tricked the heroine into marrying him and now he is wooing her. Over the top ridiculous and utterly forgettable but not as annoying as other novellas I've read recently.
A good romance and pretty steamy. Victor is a stalker, a totally obsessed alpha male and I loved him! Cute epilogue with pregnant heroine! Virgin heroine, no info about hero's past, no cheating.
Mackenzie convinces her twin to pretend she is her so she can get the heck out of town. Somehow she ended up married to Victor Wolfe and she wants to keep far away from the infuriating man who seems to think she is his.
Victor knows immediately Mackenzie is going to run, he plans to chase after her. When Victor finds her he realizes he needs to gain her trust in order to keep his wife safely by his side. Of course he knows he was sneaky about the marriage but he knows her past and he knows she would bolt regardless of how he tried to win her hand.
This was a lot of fun. Victor is calculating when it comes to Mackenzie and he lets her come to terms about them but he does nudge her a bit. I thought he treated her like spun glass, he knows she is a hard headed woman but he also knows she needs a tenderness he would never show another. Great read.
I don’t mind a novella that starts in the middle of the action. It saves valuable time in a story so short. However, it still needs to make clear what the heck is going on. It took me chapters and chapters to figure it out. There are still a few points I feel like weren’t hazy enough. Plus, it started so abruptly it took me forever to feel out the characters and figure out what their motivations and internal conflicts were.
The only reason it’s getting a 3.5 instead of a 2 is because of Victor.
I've read books by this author before and I really enjoy them. I really like this author writing style and this book is a good read. This book is part of a series The To Me series.
Book #1= Return to me. Book #2= Belong to me.
Mackenzie and Madison are twins and Mackenzie convinces her sister to switch places with her, no one will know she says.
Mackenzie has married Victor and is not sure totally how this has happened. She decides to go and hide out in the hopes that her annulment might come through quickly. Only Victor loves his wife and is not willing to let her go. Can these two put there differences aside and work things out? Or will running forever be her best bet? (NO SPOILERS)
This book is a real quick romance read a total instalove and is quite hot to. Victor is a real alpha male and knows what he wants. I can't wait to read the story of her sister.
Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me to read an early copy of this book.
Another good one by Lucy Darling. Stalker/obsessed type H with a run away h. Very cute. Virgin h, no details on H's past, dual POV, no cheating, abuse or OP drama, there is an epilogue but not sure how far into future it is. Can't wait for the next one by this fine author.
Victor sees MacKensie and does everything he can to get her. Even if it means marrying her without her knowledge. She can run but he will always chase her down.
-safe read -h is a virgin -no talk of H past -no abuse past or present -no om/ow drama -epilogue a few months out
Short book. Pure romance. Some dirty sex words and stuff but even though a lot of this book was sex scenes it still could have used more heat, somehow. This was too short to really get into the relationship and really feel the connection.
nice and all... but where is the part of them meeting each others? where is all his chasing he did before made her his wife? How he did make her sign a paper she didn't see? grr... hate it when we have something important missing even if it's a novella. Other than that of course, i liked this H.
Romance genre: married couple; insta-love Series: To Me Length: 72 pages
Plot: Mackenzie is on the run from her husband - and she has no idea how he even became her husband! She's not scared of him, and he doesn't hurt her. In fact, he wants nothing more than to love her and take care of her. She's skittish, but he doesn't give up easily. He's already wifed her and now he means to keep her.
Commentary: So this one was a 4 star for me where this author is usually a 5 star, and the main reason why is that I kind of felt like I came in on the middle of a story. She was already married but there wasn't a wedding. Her twin sister was pretending to be her while she was on an island somewhere; her husband wasn't fooled. All of that was happening before the story even started. It felt like two stories combined (hers and her sister's) and they had already started happening, like one of those movies that use lots of flashbacks. Other than that, I did like the hero especially. Even if he was sneaky. Maybe because he was sneaky.
It was perfect.......... There were so many times when I was in aww and it just really made my day or even week. It wasn't really what I expected the book to be but I'm glad that I picked this up. Couldn't be more happier. From page one I was hooked, I knew that I would finish this book because it kept getting better by each passing chapter.
While reading this, I kept thinking "why can't there be men like that in real life" I loved Victor, he was truly amazing and admired how determined he was to get Mac back.
I looovvvveeee books that has a bit of a chase, when Mac tries to run away it shows that she has her own mind and isn't afraid to use it. (Call me weird) But it's oddly cute when a girl tried to make the guy chase her or work hard to get her. Victor was totally obsessed with her but not in a creepy way.
I mean, yeh it was really clearly how he got her to get married to him and if I was in her place, it would scare the hell out of me. It's nice and cute in book but I would be freaking out with my overthinking skills.
(Basically me)
I was a bit disappointed that there was no beginning to this book, it started from the climax. It would have been better from the start, would have gotten more story and knowledge on how everything actually happened. But I'm still a happy bunny.
So I saw a really good review from Emily and thought I'd give this book a try and it was sooooo worth it. If you're looking for a possessive and obsessive alpha guy and a strong loud-mouthed woman then this is great book, I would highly recommend this book.
Cute and short read. The story started where they're already married and Mackenzie was running from Victor. I would've wished for an introduction how they met and how she accidentally signed the marriage license.
It was an okay read. There were some push and pull from Mackenzie, but Victor was relentless in pursuing his wife. Their cat and mouse game made this enjoyable to read.
Overall, this was an okay read but additional few pages won't hurt too. I think this was my shortest read so far with 50+ pages only.
This was was adorable too... I loved that he will do anything to prove his love. She is so strong and independent, but its nice to have someone look at for you for a change
I read this book after the next in the series even though this was book 1. This was probably a bad idea as there wasn’t much suspense here as the entire story was known because of book 2. Now this isn’t because that book was long but rather that there isn’t much plot here. The length of the book means that there isn’t much banter here or much interaction between the couple.
The trope here didn’t work for me, unlike Book 2 where the OTT drama was cute. Here, the heroine spends her time running from the hero; so I barely got to see them together. I think I glazed over while reading this, which would have been a shame except that I got this from KU so I didn’t really pay for this.
This was all fine but I was a little bored. Maybe people who start with this one will like it more; but, between the two books in the series I think it’s worth investing your time in the Book 2 instead.
Es una novela corta, del estilo instalove que me gusta para despejar la mente y en esta ocasión les presento a Victor y Mackenzie en una historia dulce, corta pero sexy a la vez.
Well I'm a bit lost and confused after reading this one. At the end of reading this one, I'm still left wondering how the heck was he able to marry her without her consent? Just because she signs a license??? But even with this, I'm not sure how that happens because in this book book and in the second (which is about her twin and boss) she always described as competent and thorough. The beginning of this book feels like I should've maybe read a book before this. The author literally just drops readers right in. Even once I finally got and started to understand what was going on in this story, I didn't really like Mackenzie. I'm still not 100% sold on her reasoning for acting like an ice queen, yet her sister is so sugary sweet she gives you a toothache.
Mackenzie doesn’t know how she got married to Victor. But it is her signature of the marriage certificate! Her response is to run away. Good thing Victor has a close eye on her:
I thought these two were funny and sweet. I love a good alpha romance story and as usually, this author does not disappoint. If you are interested in a quick love story/insta love story, look no further. This is the one for you! I highly recommend it!!!
This is a rom-com thats so much fun to read. The chase Victor did is hilarious and cute. Mackenzie doesn't even stand a chance and she knows it. A man who seeks and claim her for his own is what she needs having gone through a troubled upbringing. Victor's love thought her a lot and he also opened up to emotions only his wife got him to feel, understand and accept. Alpha yet full of heart.
Victor and Mackenzie kept us on our toes! I loved these “twin” stories. Mackenzie is so busy she signs things without reading them over. Victor took advantage of this and the chase is on. Sweet and steamy.
D.N.F . . . reason follows . . . Is there a reading order to Ms. Darlings books? Are her books interconnected? Building each book up from the previous? This one drops you into a story that feels and reads like a continuation of a cliff hanger. If there is a reading order, please advise.
