I'm a compulsive reader, not-so-regular writer, introverted dreamer, onanist, fetishist, occasional weirdo and a movie enthusiast with a hankering for great ideas and demolition of creative boundaries - which, incidentally, also applies to what I read and write. I've a preference for the shocking and what most people would call disturbing. Think of the axe-murder in A Serbian Film and the accident-fetish in J G Ballard's Crash and you get the drift.

However, I can appreciate the brighter side of life too - like your neighbourhood serial killer with the face of a choir boy. I've read Nobel laureates like Mario Vargas Llosa with the same passion that I have for a splatterpunk master like Wrath James White. I straddle two worlds, it seems.

I get my rocks off on erotic horror, dabble in pornhub when life gets too boring (onanist, remember?) and am still writing three days a week since publishing my first novel, The Erotic Muse, in 2018. I sublimated a truckload of pre-middle-age angst in writing it and it shows, albeit in a less autobiographical way than a Charles Bukowski or a Henry Miller.

I give out free copies of my work all the time. Anyone interested may contact me at rajeev.writer1985@gmail.com. I'm also open to chats of a no-holds-barred nature.

“I’ve seen the sky bleed....”

A group of friends travel to an isolated African island in search of answers to an unexplained phenomenon previously witnessed by one of the friends. Before long, they find themselves in grave danger, fearing not just the potentially lethal bloody rainfall, but the island’s inhabitants as well.

Exceptionally well-written, this book intrigued me right from the start. Singh is such a superb storyteller. His rich, descriptive prose is nothing short of enchanting, ensnaring his readers’ attention and igniting their imagination. You will feel as though you have traveled to that dreadful place where blood rains down “...[t]hick and dark, fresh out of a huge open wound that might have been slashed across a stratosphere of meat.” Such imagery!

Singh skillfully weaves a fascinating story complete with a unique plot, well-developed characters, perfect pacing and action, all within a creepy atmosphere with mounting tension. Absolutely immersive and highly entertaining, this story would make a great movie.

Cannibalism, raining blood (a great song by Slayer btw,) and all kinds of grotesque fetishes on display. It's like a Richard Laymon gore-fest combined with the setting and extreme graphic nature of The Green Inferno, Cannibal Holocaust and Human Centipede. Captures the feeling of old-school splatterpunk and exploitation films quite well.

Blood Rain by Rajeev Singh is another dip into erotic horror that will steal the spotlight.

Erotic horror is one of those criss-cross genres. It's creepy yet sexual (as the name implies) but hits in such a strange way. I don't know whether to be scared, horrified or shocked.

A group of five get isolated on an island with sexually charged, exotic women, all being affected by a blood rain. Danger and horror await the crew as they try to traverse through the jungle and come out unscathed. Among the group, emotions are high and terror is higher.

There's lots of women having sex with inanimate objects in this story. It's very strange and is connected to horror, but the characters also find it oddly erotic. Add in blood rain, scary tales and an adventure, and you've got one wild ride (pun intended, thank you very much).

I will give Rajeev a virtual high five for his prose. His story telling ability and his word choice will make chocolate melt in your mouth. Seriously, he's got a way with his words. The first chapter alone had me curious and interested in the story.

If you're looking for something a little different, a little niche, totally R rated, and some truly insane erotic horror then you need to grab this book. Rajeev is such a talented writer and writes this niche market really well.

Four out of five stars.

Thank you to Rajeev Singh for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Good Bloody Sexy Tale

A good fast paced Horror Porn story. Reads like a story told around the campfire late at night after consuming too much of whatever floats your boat.

Strange ancient customs, melting people, cannibalism, weird erotica and fetishes, and an island that rains blood... What can I say, this novella has it all! I found it hard to put down, always wanting to know just what in the world is going to happen next, and I am never disappointed. Rajeev has a true talent for this genre, and I look forward to even more from that beautifully weird brain of Mr. Singh!

This was a good read

This was a good read , not as extreme as a lot of the books I read but does have some extreme and brutal passages. A great storyline and characters. Has you getting to know there characters so you can see how things progress with them through the story and imagine it all happening. I'd recommend this as a short story.

Disturbingly good!

Erotica horror on a new level.
A bizarre group of friends, on the weirdest vacation ever.
Isolated island, strange tribe of women, dark & twisted rituals & even weirder sex made this an engrossing, fast paced read.
Well done!

A terrifying and sexy adventure story

The blood rain mentioned in the title is the most terrible and horrifying character in the book. The rain takes on a life of its own as it seeks to lift inhibitions from each of the story’s characters, almost forcing them to do things they would never do anywhere else in the world. Once Dean tells his friends about this place, they decide they have to see this for themselves, and they score a speedboat to take them there. Once there, the story proved to be true, blood rain and all. The rain and the native people take turns coming after the new group, dead set on destroying their sense of morality and decency and even taking lives. Things happen differently here and the clash between dimensions is almost too much to take. Nothing worked the way it should here, and they continue to fight for control of their bodies and for their lives.
The story is erotic and sexy while jarring and gory. The bare-breasted natives who do crazy sex acts wind up become victims in this world. They don’t realize time here in world where it rains blood that can melt you, nearly kill you, then bring you back to life. Can this terrifying island be saved and plucked back to it’s WWI and Civil War? Can it be pushed back it’s old dimension?

Blood Rain is an erotic horror novella by Rajeev Singh that transcends its synopsis. The story is full of intrigue and suspense, yet flows like an action movie. The characters are colorful and engaging, the story, vivid and compelling.

The story takes place in Africa and includes elements of folklore surrounding the area. It has action and mystery and suspense and the supernatural, as well as sex and violence. The sex and violence, while explicit, are not overly graphic and are by no means gratuitous. This is both novel and interesting in a story that is otherwise Extreme Horror. And Singh makes it work. In one place in particular, the absence of graphic description adds to the horror of the situation. It is exceedingly well done.

Blood Rain is a dark, fun, engrossing read. Highly recommended for fans of erotic horror, extreme horror, and dark supernatural/folk horror tales.

Colorful language rains upon this story that reads like a Cannable Holocaust if it were written by Clive Barker. A dirty, filthy page-turner. Or as a passage from the book says:

"what more could the average sicko lounging on the bean bag in front of his computer with his dick in his shampoo-slick hand desire?"

Holy mother of blood and vorarephilia! As soon as I started reading this novella by Rajeev I resented that I had to sleep as this was something I wanted to read until it’s bloody conclusion.

This is a brutal and highly erotic tale. If you like your reading to be vanilla and lighthearted then don’t bother reading this. On the flip side, if you like your neutrons to be set ablaze by disturbing, explicit sex and as equally as disturbing and explicit gore then this is most definitely for you.

Rajeev somehow weaves the most savage sex and death with the words of a poet. His writing is like a blade that is touching the most sensual parts of your body, caressing you before absolutely eviscerating you completely.

One word of advice; don’t read this before bed. You won’t want to sleep until the climax ;)

BLOODY NIGHTMARE

Why this group of people wanted to visit a place that has blood rain and melting people is beyond me; but it set the stage for this unforgettable adventure that reminds me of the movie The Green Inferno.
This is a bloody, captivating, exotic and erotic read with a side of cannabalism oh my. 😱
It's full of intriguing and intense moments leading up to a battle for survival and hoping to do so in one piece.

Blood Rain is an erotic tale of 5 friends who embark on a curiosity expedition while on vacation on an African Beach. They hear of a mysterious island where a weather phenomenon happens called Blood Rain. One of the friends has ventured to the island before and was so alarmed with what he saw the Blood Rain do, that he fled the island. Now, a year later, he is back with his friends in tow to discover the mystery of the Blood Rain and the isolated island where this happened.

The friends encounter a puzzling tribe of half-naked women on the island that are responsible for the Blood Rain ritual. While captured, they observe the Blood Rain cause psychological changes to the tribe leading to ritualistic orgies, hallucinations and horror porn. They soon learn they must try to work together to survive the ordeal. Will the Blood Rain wreak psychological havoc on the friends, or are they tough enough to push through to escape with their lives?

Singh takes us down a dark path of friendship, trust, and their inner demons. Some of the paths are predicable, but others, not so much. If you like erotic and psychological horror, you should give this one a go!

Received as a gift from an ARC group that I belong to, this book is surely out of the ordinary, and not for everyone. It lost one star in my review due to run-up sentences and some unexplained confusion, but all in all was a very decent attempt from an indie writer. subject matter is interesting but extremely disturbing, so consider yourself warned.

Having read The Erotic Muse by the same author, I was very interested to find a completely different tone to this book. The Erotic Muse has a dream-like quality, heavy on description and metaphor.

Blood Rain is very different. From the outset, we are introduced to a group of people holidaying together in a tropical paradise. One of them, something of an adventurer, describes an island in the region which he visited the year before. He tells his fellow travellers of an horrific scene he witnessed the year before, on the shores of this island. His yearning for adventure and liking of danger entices him to go back and find out more. Somehow, he convinces his friends to go with him. Some are more willing than others. His girlfriend is resentful and jealous of another woman in the group; a woman far more equipped to fight than she is. There are also two other men, one of whom meets an unfortunate end, but I won't share any spoilers here.

As ever Rajeev's writing is of a very high standard. He uses some great metaphors and descriptive language, which was just what I was expecting, but it does not become laboured or get in the way of the story.

Lots of graphic sexual violence, though it may surprise you who the perpetrators are...

If you are looking for a well-written story with a theme of sexual deviancy, sexual violence, elements of cannabalism with an ancient, supernatural cause, then this may well be the book for you.

This is a tale of a small group of Americans who travel to a remote African Island after one of their number has a wild experience there. Before it ends they experience danger, sex, supernatural manifestations, and the influence of a chemically-induced rain that has strong physical effects. The author warns in the introduction that horror and wild sex will be graphically described. Actually I found the details to be a bit tame. It is a good horror story, including elements of danger and the supernatural. The characters are limited in description, and the element of romance in the beginning is lost. However, the story is exciting and suspenseful. and has an interesting ending. I found this book at Hidden Gems, which has an intriguing catalog of books in my interest areas.

Gruesome unique story.
What brilliant imagination! A secret island, a tribe of savage non-aging women, explicit descriptions, and plenty of gore—what a great mix in this adventure/horror/erotica novel. Reminded me somehow of The Green Inferno. Well done!

Review to follow in the next days....

I'm so sorry it has taken me so long to finish up this review, I've been sick don't know if it is the CONVID 19 afraid to be tested. Afraid they will put me in the hospital and not let me out or see my family. So I've done self quarantine 😷.

Back to my review. It has been hard to write a review for a book with pornography and this book is what I would call a splatter punk porn book. It has blood, guts, violence, cannibalism, sex, drugs and island black magic. I did enjoy the book it was different then what I normally read. The porn wasn't the worst I've ever read, thanks goodness, but it was porn. Mr. Singh has written a story about a wealthy group of friends that are looking for adventure and end up on an uncharted island named Jeta. A tropical island he wanted to purchase and had gone there by himself and had barely gotten away with his life. He wanted to go back with his group of friends and see if they would find the same supernatural blood rain and sexually deprived female natives and hopefully riches. And so the sexual adventure begins...

It was a good read with a lot of sex, violence, blood and storyline. So if you want an adventure with strong attractive sexually active adults and primitive native Islanders with black magical powers this is the book for you.

Again I want to apologize for not knowing how to review porn but the story was a good adventure and I wouldn't call it hard porn maybe splatter punk porn.

Today’s dark slice of erotic horror is brought to you by the letters G, O, P, and V – as in gynarchy, objectophilia, paraphilia, and vorarephilia. It’s going to get bloody and it’s going to get bloody sexy, so if you’re squeamish . . . now’s the time to turn back for the mainstream mainland.

Blood Rain is the story of five friends and a forbidden West African island. It’s the story of a bizarre blood rain that carries with it violent sexual desires, and of the mysterious matriarchal tribe that feeds on it. Rajeev Singh mixes equal parts Clive Barker, Richard Laymon, and Wrath James White in a myth-fueled pulp approach to splatterplunk and sexploitation.

The book opens by establishing tension between the characters, making it clear that this visit to the curses island – and the horrors already witnessed by Dean – may not be the greatest idea. By the time they find themselves being hunted by the bare-breasted, black-skinned women of the island, the sense of dread is palatable . . . and when the blood rain begins to fall, driving the natives to violent, dangerous, bloody acts of masturbation, we know it’s already too late.

There’s a history to the island, a mythology behind the blood rain that’s revealed through bizarre dreams, and that’s what elevates this above the sexualized torture porn. And the presence of the Rambo-like Ruth, stalking the native village, armed to the teeth and ready to sacrifice herself for her friends, is what keeps this from growing stale and predictable.

Short enough to be read in one sitting, but deep enough to provide some lasting satisfaction, Blood Rain is as imaginative as it is deviant, a well-written story that will leave you feeling guilty about fantasizing worst case scenarios for all involved.
