I love this book so much that I have read it more than 20 times. I am sure that I will reread it at least 100 more times. Every time I reread it, I get a new perspective on life.
"Don't just read the Gita – heed the Gita."
Heeding the Gita is not an exercise in unwilling submission but is a festival of loving reciprocation.
The writer summarised Bhagavad Gita in quotes. Gita is a mixture of self-realization, spirituality, motivation, mental health and many more. The best thing about the book is that there isn't any explanation written like in other books of Bhagavad Gita. Hence, it makes you think and search for the meaning behind each quote. Just open any page and read it.

Following are my highlights.
- In the war of egos, the winner is the biggest loser - Those who commit to nothing are distracted by everything - Transcendence means to go beyond testing god to tasting god - Bring out the best within, not the beast within - Think with your sense, not with your senses - Being intelligent in relationships means knowing when to doubt and when to give benefit of doubt - Animals choose how to fulfil their bodily drives; we humans can choose whether to fulfilIn our bodily drives - In spiritual journey, surrender is the starter, sustainer and summit - Some things never change and some things change us forever - People may worship one god; but they don’t necessarily worship the same god - God is one, but all conceptions of god are not one - Speak to give people piece of mind, not a piece of your mind - The essence of spirituality is not moving backward or moving forward, but moving upward - Worry is the interest we pay on loans we haven’t yet taken - Even a go-getter needs to know where to go and what to get - Why bother whether the glass is half empty or half full, when you can drink from either? - We can’t drive out darkness, but we can turn on the light - Seek a Guru to show you the way, not to sanction your way - Use your imagination to build roads, not roadblocks - Walking away from your problems is proactive; running away from problems is reactive - Talk less about yourself; talk more to yourself - Discipline is the fusion of intention with action - Spiritual growth centers not on inaction but on action with the deepest sense of purpose - Just as food adds to our physical weight, our thoughts add to our mental weight - choose both carefully - God is the source, shelter and summit of everything - Thinking is natural, but thinking about thinking is special - To discover your natural interests, note consciously what you notice automatically - Be not sentimental or judgemental - be transcendental - Yesterday’s victory won’t protect you today - don’t rest on your laurels - Lust allures men with pleasure and women with power - Even if we can’t silence our critics, we can stop replaying their words in our heart - Improving our lifestyle, won’t improve our life; there’s more to life than style - Birds can’t fly without breaking their shells - we can’t fulfil our destiny without breaking our conditionings - At death we don’t have to leave home - we can also go home - Circumstances are like carpets - keep them below, not above - Break the habits that can break you, before they break you - Temptations will come, we don’t have to welcome - Don’t just renounce the material for the spiritual - infuse the material with the spiritual - Falling down doesn’t make us a failure; staying down does - When our vision changes from competition to contribution, life becomes a celebration - Biological hunger is need but sensual hunger is greed - The eye can’t find the I as long as the I seeks through the eye
