To Me Series #2

Belong to Me

Rate this book
Some things never change, I think as I listen to my sister’s crazy idea. There is no way this will work. We may have been able to pull off the old switcheroo when we were younger, but I doubt it will work now. Even though we’re identical twins, we are far from the same. I work from home and keep to myself while she works a corporate job and deals with an overbearing boss. Yet, I know without a doubt that I’m going to agree to her crazy plan. Pretend to be her for a week was the favor she’d asked for. It would be easy, she said. Her boss would never notice, she insisted. I beg to differ. It’s only day one, and all he seems to notice is me. He doesn’t want me as his assistant. He wants me in his bed permanently. He says I belong to him, but is it me or my sister that he’s claiming?

"Belong to Me" is the story of Madison and Colt.

Heroine is shy, curvy twin sister standing in for her sister at her job. The hero is her sister's boss, who suddenly finds himself taken by his somewhat very different assistant. Sparks fly, love happens followed by a HEA.

Underwhelming.

Safe
2/5

PS. Realized I had read it and disliked it a year ago. Changing review.

What do you do when your twin ask you to trade places for some odd reason you do lol

Madison takes the place of her sister Mackenzie who has a boss who is up tight and a jerk.. plus he never pays attention so this can work. When Madison meets Colt for the first time theirs a spark but shes already blowing it by being nice since her sister is sassy to him. That's a red flag in Colts eyes. And he finds out the truth when he kisses her. He knows he never had a thing for his secatary so who this girl was he was in love with, so he plays around and gets more touchy freely with her but I'm surprised Madison didnt figure out he knew.. since he never said Mackenzie name. (Reminder Mackenzie twin sister and Colt only have a work relationship nothing more)

But Madison feels like he fell in love with her sister so she takes off.. now Colt is telling her he knew from the start she wasnt her twin.

As for Mackenzie she has a story and Its with Victor.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary chara, sexy times, virgin girl no manwhore

Recommend- yes

If it wasn't so short I would probably put it back away. I don't think me and Mrs Lucy clicked as this is like third title that did not impress me much. I absolutely adore the cover designs, however the inside not so much.

Love the fact of the twin sisters helping each other, a little Olsen sisters situation, but the overall execution had me bored after a few pages in. Also, boss that didn't give a shite about the assistant, except the fact she worked well, comes back from holidays and almost literally rapes her within first two hours? Nah, I don't buy it.

I read this story before the first one and I’m glad I did. Book one had a few spoilers about their relationship. Madison agrees to pose as her sister so she can sneak off for a vacation. Madison hates switching places as an adult because the two are so different. Colt knows immediately that there is something different about his secretary. It doesn’t take him long to realize that isn’t Mackenzie and he is very intrigued by Madison. Madison is confused by Colt’s behaviour and worries that it is actually her sister that he wants. When Madison runs Colt knows he will follow and make her his forever.

Safety and Spoilers
Completely safe. No ow/om drama. H’s past isn’t really mentioned and h is a virgin. No abuse, it is mentioned that the girls grew up in a very controlling household.

One-day love affair. It's insta-love at its finest. I'm not sure if this is dual V, though; there's no background info on the H. 🤷‍♀️

When Madison's indential twin sister Mac, convinces her to switch places she has a moment of worry. Sure they did it as kids but now as adults surely someone could tell the difference. Right? But it's her sister and she gives in. But how she's going to pull this off is something that she has no clue how to do. She's a homebody, works from home. She's shy not outgoing like her twin. But it's only for a week so maybe they can get away with it.

WRONG! When she arrives to her sisters workplace, she knows she's in way over her head. Why didn't her sister tell her about Mr Warden the boss her how sexy he is. She has some explaining to do, well she would if she answered her phone.

When Colt (Mr Warden) arrives at the office, he takes one look at his little personal assistant and he knows instantly something is up. He's never wanted to grab Mac and devour her. It's instant love with a heavy side of foreplay. Get ready to lose your innocence and heart.

Quirky Madison fills in for her sister at work. Madison and Mackenzie are twins. They aren’t fooling anyone! Colt knows it’s not his assistant and the games begin. Madison is so funny and can’t help but speak the truth as it continues to slip out. Fun and completely safe.

Dual virgins, yess!! This is a simple, very low angst book. She goes to work impersonating her twin sister but the boss fell in love with her instantly. He is bossy, possessive, jealous… all the OTT stuff. ♥️. And she is sweet.

It is funny the relationship between her sister and the boss which is totally opposite. It’s all fire dragon fight 🤭.

I read this book first. Now, I wanna know what happened to her sister.

Better than the first.

This was a better installment than book one by far. Probably because I had enough context from book one to actually understand what the heck was going on and didn’t feel lost for half the book.

I did like that both men could tell the twins apart right away (ok so Cole took a little longer than Victor but it only took like an hour and he was jet lagged lol)

I love a jp alpha hero and Cole was certainly that.

This was a short crazy but cute read. Completely insta love and craziness but the premise of two twins switching places is nuts enough to work. Unlike the other book of Ms. Darling which I read, this was nuts enough that I was amused and had fun.

The hero is in love within fine minutes- there is nothing subtle here. But if you are looking for something quick but cute then give this a chance. It’s crazy enough to work as it does not take it self too seriously.

I’m off to read the other book in the series as I don’t want to work.

Belong to Me was a great story. The plot was strong, it was written well. Lucy Darling did a great job on it. The twin's deciding to switch turned into a good thing. From the moment Colt laid eyes on Madison, he knew she wasn't Mackenzie. He was drawn to Madison, he knew she was going to be his. Colt and Madison were made for one another, they were good for each other. Their attraction was instant, the chemistry between them was off the charts, it was sexy. They couldn't resist each other. They were just great together.
I enjoyed Madison and Colt's story. It was a great story.
Thank you, Lucy Darling. Great work :)

Madison is filling in for her sister at work.
It will be an easy job she says.
He won’t notice anything different she says.
Ya, she’s not so sure about that.

Colt knows Madison isn’t her sister but decides to let her play her game.

I loved this quick insta love story starring a hot alpha male. If this is one of your favorite genres as well, I highly recommend this story and this author.
She writes amazing stories!

Short book. Pure romance. Some dirty sex words and stuff but even though a lot of this book was sex scenes it still could have used more heat, somehow. This was too short to really get into the relationship and really feel the connection.

Madison isn't sure how she let her identical twin sister talk her into pretending she is her while she goes on a trip. When Madison sees Colt she can't believe how handsome he is and she thinks he is not noticing she is not her sister, however she couldn't be more wrong.

Colt knows something is off with his secretary, he had never been attracted to her and now he is full on lust. He plans to have her and is giving her time to come clean about who she is but he isn't sure he can wait that long before he takes her as his own.

Great quickie. The chemistry is intense between Colt and Madison. Need to read the rest in the series, very fun.

Insta-love. Alphahole. Naïve, TSTL Heroine, “I love you” after less than 24 hours. Cliched makeover scene where the man just happens to hire a whole team of stylists to get a woman ready for an event. HEA involving married with babies, with the heroine’s revelation that she was made to be a mother, barefoot in the kitchen, as if that’s what a woman’s worth can be boiled down to.

All of it is one big ol’ NOPE.

The couple: Colt and Madison

Romance genre: office romance; insta-love
Series: To Me
Length: 67 pages

Plot: Madison works for Colt, but her twin sister needs her to pretend to be her (the twin) for a while. She agrees to the switch. That means that Madison is working at her sister's job while her sister is on the run from her husband (it's complicated). But her "new boss" has fallen in love with her...or her sister? She doesn't know, and that's a problem!

Commentary: It's like The Parent Trap, but with grown-ups at an office. It's so funny that both twins thought they could get away with tricking their respective partners, but the guys were not fooled at all. I guess when you're in love, twin powers don't apply. Also, Madison's personality was completely different from her sister's, so it was easy for Colt to tell it wasn't his regular assistant. I did wonder that it took him so long to tell her he knew which twin she was - surely he knew she was wondering?

Previous book in the series: Return to Me

Madison sneakily takes over her sister’s position as a personal secretary. They’re identical twins so it should be fine, and her sister really wants to go on vacation for some reason. But Madison’s new boss notices something different about his secretary — suddenly she’s nicer, more attractive... other things. He decides that he wants her.

Madison has no idea what personal secretaries do. She’s basically winging it and agreeing to whatever the boss wants. I think there was a missed opportunity for some good old fashioned workplace sexual harassment (but make it kinky) because Madison doesn’t know what she’s doing. Or at least the iconic sex scene on someone’s desk or something. But nope. It’s pretty tame. Boo.

Wouldn’t keep this on my shelf and probably won’t reread. I like Alexa Riley’s Paid For better.

Belong to Me Lucy Darling is the story of Colt and Madison.
Madison and her twin sister Mackenzie have switched places in the past without issue. But when her sister Mackenzie asked Madison to fill in for her a week at her job, Madison doesn't think its a good ideal. But she goes forward to do so even thought they may look the same they are totally different people in attitude. Colt is Mackenzie's boss and it doesn't take him to long to figure out his assistant isn't Mackenzie but he so attracted to the new girl that he just wants to claim her.
Quick hot read!

Such a whirlwind relationship!

This is one heck of a whirlwind relationship that has a happy ever after. Not realistic as it doesnt always happen but i'd like to share and enjoy Lucy D's the authors optimistic approach on this which made it so worth reading for the fun of it and to give a glimmer of hope. True love happens to have an odd way of kicking you in the butt when it hits you but embrace and enjoy it! Good one Lucy!

Good book, not as good as the 1st in this series. It was just too fast, everything happened in like a day, but in a very rushy way. The steam was ok, but not much of it and again rushed and it was detailed in part but in the most basic of ways. 2/5.

Belong to Me, Book 2 of the To Me duet, was about Madison Davenport, a professional proofreader, and Colt Waldron, her sister's boss. (This should have been Book 1 because it answered a few questions that the other book created. Information that the first story desperately needed, but didn't have.)
Madison and her (somewhat) identical twin sister, Mackenzie (from Book 1), were often known to trade places while growing up, so she shouldn't have been surprised when Mac asked her to do it once again. However, their appearances had changed a bit over the years, enough that Madison was a bit different from her twin than she used to be. She was also more introverted than Mac, who tended to have a more acerbic personality compared to Madison's shy one. Yet, she agreed to stand in for her while Mac went on a "vacation" for a week.
Almost immediately upon arrival, Colt knew there was something different about his assistant. First, she was friendlier, to the point that she even agreed to get him a cup of coffee. There were other signs that said she wasn't his true assistant, and he surmised that she was, in fact, a twin to Mac. He determined to find out all he could about her before confronting her with the truth.
Once he had the information he needed on Madison, Colt decided to play the game she and her sister started, except he changed the rules to suit his needs. He had also already decided she was going to become his wife as soon as he could put a ring on her finger.
This was definitely a better book than the first one. It actually showed how the two main characters met for the first time and gave a tiny bit more of a backstory for them. There were still quite a few inconsistencies that didn't fit the story, so it had a bit of an awkward feel after reading the first book, only to have this one contradict what the reader had already learned from book 1.
Although this story had more angst and drama than the first book, it still had a weak storyline and plot. The author seemed to have just thrown these two books together without finishing them. They were both lacking information and content that they desperately needed. Both stories were like being dropped into the middle of a movie and not knowing what it was about, all the while being lost because some of it was missing. It needed more.
The FMC seemed a bit more ditzy than her twin from the first book. She lacked a lot in the area of social graces and definitely had no idea what she was doing in an office setting. The MMC was a bit more developed and mature, a man who knew what he wanted and went after it with gusto.
Because this book was a bit more complete than its predecessor, it managed to earn a full four-star rating. It would be nice to see these two stories get revamped and overhauled into real books that actually deserve a higher rating.
