Now, eleven years later, she owns a successful salon, has one daughter and one baking in the stomach, and she’s engaged to be married to one of the hottest producers in the music industry. Will Rucka being released from prison put a stop on her wedding plans? Or has too much time gone past? Mirror had always been the baby of the family, and the most quiet. While her brothers think she’s an angel and a homebody, Mirror has found herself into a situation she can’t seem to shake loose from. That is until her best friend, Orlan, helps her shake loose. With the sticky and messy situation she’s in, Mirror knows she now has to tell her family what she has gotten herself into, even if it hurts them. Maliah is now a mother who would do anything to protect her young. With her baby father by her side, she has it made. When Maliah starts to date, Staten isn’t too excited to see his baby mama taking interest in another man. Teck swoops into Maliah’s life, and is working hard to knock down the wall that she has worked hard to put up. Will he be the one to break down the wall to Maliah’s heart, or will Staten mess that up? It’s the same island, just different players. Once you cross over the bridge, you’re sure to be shocked by what the residents have cooking -- no pun intended.

3.5 Stars…

There were a few too many new characters and at times it was difficult to keep up with who was who and who was whose employee. It’s of course a strong start to this spin-off series and I think it includes a lot of new people from different books and I can already tell the villains are going to annoy me.

Jah now why you do us like that? THIS BOOK WAS EVERYTHING!!! I’m glad you put a little bit about each of the characters from you previous books. I guess this will be a series😊😊 I want more info about Kiss if she got her life together... Justice & Priest wedding! Shoot I even want details about the Bali trip😂 I even want to know what happens with Myeisha & Rucka!! This book just makes me crave more like what’s next when the next book dropping lol GREAT JOB JAH! You are amazing ❤️

Good Story

The storyline is good but there's so many typos to get past. Its good to see some of them characters again. So far, there's a lot of drama (which I like) and with the way it ended, there's more to come. I like that it left me wanting to see what's gonna happen next. I'm ready for part 2.

Omg what the heck so many secrets

Mirror was in a love triangle with Ronnie and her husband Hudson. Start out as a way too spice up their marriage turned into a year love affair. Mirror was in love with Hudson and his wife Ronnie was pregnant with his son she wanted her husband to herself and was trying to exclude Mirror. Mirror wanted a baby of her own and Ronnie wasn't have that. Mirror broke up with couple. Hudson best friend Orlan always had a crush on Mirror so they slept together and now their expecting a baby. Ronnie has revealed Orlan secret about him being in prison for rape jealously has rear it ugly head to cause pain and destruction. Justice and Priest are getting married finally after all the darma with the ex. Myeisha has went 11 years without having any contact with her first love Rodger (aka) Rucka who was released from prision to find her engage and pregnant and was still have feelings for him her water break he rush her to the hospital. Myeisha is keeping secrets of her own her and Rodger sleep together at the engagement party. Lo and Myeisha are arguing about Rucka being in the delivery room when she gave birth and she didn't tell him about her past. Now out of the blue a women claim Rodger is her husband and has a daughter. And also she is asking her is she Myeisha has also question her about her sleeping with him. So much darma and pain and Staten is feeling so kind of way about Maliah new love.

The cliffhanger whew…..

I loved that we still got a view of our fav Staten Island characters but also got introduced to some new ones. I’m really rooting for Rucka & Myiesha even after all that time their bond is still strong. Lou is a clown and I hope she realizes it before she makes a mistake. I have to say the one that shocked me the most was Mirror. I’m glad she realized her worth and didn’t continue to get used. Part 1 let out a lot of secrets that could possibly end relationships. Definitely a must read.

Wow the series coming in with hot tea!

Ronnie and Hudson are trips, they wanted a play toy but forgot feelings are real! Rucka came home and ran into Myeisha and all the feelings are still there evident by the engagement party hook up! Staten is too invested in Maliah's new relationship, he better watch it and Kiss, she's a trip! This first book in this series us off to a great start, that ending, wow! Diving into the next book to Ser what happens next!

Amazing read

Ronnie and Hudson had a lot of nerve, and the way she told Orlan business waa petty and very immature. Mirrors needed to leave that situation it wasn't healthy for her and when Ronnie got what she wanted she wanted Mirror gone, so now that she left you have an attitude WOW. Lou was stepping out on Myeshia, but to keep that secret from him for 11 years is wild, wonder how things going to turn out now since secrets are.coming out now.

Okayyy the ending got me

Of course I loved the book Jahquel J never seems to disappoint with the story line. I couldn’t give it five stars though because of the spelling errors. Overall I love Rucka and Orlan and let me tell you the way this book ended, I’m running to book two to make sense of it all.

I'm sick of Kiss, I'm sick of Ronnie and Staten needs to fall back before he cause problems in him and Liberty's relationship. What his baby mama does don't have nothing to do with him. Kiss needs to grow up and Ronnie needs her azz tapped right along with her husband Hudson.💓💓

The news that both Myeshia and Mirror received at the end of this book will have you clutching your pearls. It’s someone in this book that I want to reach out and touch just miserable for the sake of being miserable. It was nice catching up with some of my favorite characters from a Staten Island Love Letter!!!!

This book was good. I was a little on the fence about reading bc I loved Ghost & Free. This was a healthy balance of little pop ins from them while introducing the new characters but the end?! Talk about ending with a banggggg! I will be tuning into book 2 asaptual 😂

Yeah, I'm on the edge of my seat again with these secrets. Hudson & Ronnie need to get a grip and stop doing Mirror like that. It was fun at first but now she wants a real relationship & deserves one. Myeisha needs to sneak up on Lou. Ready for book 2.

It’s funny how everyone in these books are somehow tied to one another. I can’t stand Ronnie’s tail cause she low down as ever. The ending had my mouth on the floor all because she’s jealous.
