WELL HOLY FUCKING BALLS. THAT WAS THE MOST FUCKING INTENSE BOOK I HAVE EVER READ. I WAS PANTING AND MOANING ALL VER THE PLACE TRYING NOT TO CUM BUT AT THE SAME TIME I WAS. The princes are all united and ready to protect Alexis, she in turn is doing everything she can to protect them and their loved ones from the evil that is the king.

Just when you think a sequel can't be any better than the first you are proven wrong and it shows that this series keeps,and will keep, getting better! The Storm King is a twisted sociopath and nothing is off limits to him. He truly loves his sickening torturous "games" and pushes the envelope as far as he can. I love that relationships with Alexis and the Storm Princes continue to get deeper and more intense in this book. Their adventures around the Kingdoms are amazing and they will take your breath away. And to top it off we get Speedy back!!!

Ms. Middaugh's imagination is a truly wonderful place, not only are her descriptions vivid and paint a perfect picture, but her characters are 100 percent real and you really do feel connected to each one (apart from the king-SOCIOPATH remember?!!). The adventure is only starting and I feel that we are in for a roller coaster ride of epic proportions. I can't wait to see how Alexis and the guys are going to get out of their dire situation, and with the cliffhanger it ends on seems even worse! All in all, two books in and I'm impatiently waiting for book 3, it's a fantastic story, and well written, a definite must read!

If you thought the Storm King was evil and sadistic in the last book....SMH..... Just wait until you read this one! Alexis and her Storm studs are off on an impossible quest for King Jerk-A -Lot. If they don't do said quest then her infant relative being held captive by said King will be tortured and possibly killed. The things this scum of a human, force his own flesh and blood their mothers, Alexis and even her BFF Gemma to do are truly heartbreaking. The ONLY thing that saved their lives on more than one occasion was their magical blood bond. Along the duration of this quest they make some interesting friends that I have a hunch could become important in the future. And there are some HUGE reveals along the way. This book is NOT a HEA so be prepared...However we see time and time again the strength, resilience, love and bond far stronger than magic that Alexis and the princes have. I've NO DOUBT The King will not reign for much longer. A reckoning is definitely on its way inn my opinion, and I can't wait to see it! If you enjoyed book one then you'll love this one too! I CAN'T WAIT to see what happens next!!!

Stormy Nights indeed. I absolutely loved this book... Ms. Middaugh has a way of drawing you into a story and making you forget about the world around you. This book has twists,turns and things going on that once you start reading it you just have to sit back and hang on because you don't want to miss out on anything by making the mistake of putting it down.
The Storm brothers are still swoon worthy and the King needs shot, but I don't want to give away any spoilers because you need to read this yourself

Crazy!

Crazy quests and crazy Kings. The book is dark and definitely seems hopeless but an interesting twist comes at the end! Good thing Alexis and her storm princes... alll of them, are solid, because things are going to get even more insane I bet.

The whole mission to retrieve the chimera egg was very entertaining. Alexis continues to be her sassy self. I love how all the different magic has an unique price to it. I felt so sorry for Chrissin, all he wanted was to know his father, instead he got trapped with his mother by the Storm King. I wish there was more depth to the King, not just evil torturous bastard. I wanted him to have layers and motivations.
I did enjoy this book though.

So, the sloth is out of the bag!! 🤣

Okay, can we all agree that, after the ending of the first book, we raced to get the second book to see what the heck is going on with the whole Speedy being Asher, but Asher is Adam situation? I had a feeling who Speedy was, the poor dude, but could not--for the life of me--figure out why he kept trying to off himself!! But we find out in this book and I was rolling on the ground from the commentary from the first page hahaha

Now, randomly, to address something in the fandom people seem to misunderstand! *Walks up to my soapbox and stands on top. Clears throat so all can hear clearly* PRINCE BENSON IS MINE! MINE! MINE! MINE! *steps down, smiles politely, then proceeds to trip on nothing*

Now that, that's out of the way, let me talk about the relationships between Lexicon and the guys, because I'm a over-the-moon, fangirling mess right now! You know how I feel about a certain prince *wipes drool as I pull my thoughts from the sweet, yet surprisingly dominate, prince* But his brothers all hold a piece of my heart as well. I love that Asher got to be a part of their group after...proving himself *glares daggers at some of his brothers from said scene* and to see him and Lexi together was adorable! And their little moments together were too precious! It's easy to understand how she fell for him all those years ago.

And, can we give it to our girl, Alexis? *claps* girl has been through so much, in this book in particular, but she never lets her life's situations knock her down. No. Our girl is strong and kicks a** in this book! Emotionally and physically. I loved seeing her grow more comfortable with her powers and fighting abilities while refusing to be treated like a damsel. Heck yea girl! And her stand at the end? POWERFUL!

As always, the plot of the story was entertaining and we got to see so many different kingdoms, and different characters, which I adored. I give this book all the stars and I want more, especially after that ending 😭 *grabby hands* oh, and Criss was an interesting character in this novel. I'm curious to read more about him and figure out how that's going to work, but I'm here for it!

Stormy Knight is the second book in the Storms of Blackwood series and it takes off where the first book, Taken by Storm ended. The Storm King sends Lexi and the Storm Princes on a quest to bring back something he wants and in order for Lexi to keep those she loves safe including the Princes she capitulates, travelling across the Obsidian Desert to the Kingdom of Eristan and into the enchanted Lunaley. But nothing is what it seems in the Lunaley and Lexi and her men will be put to the test from all sides!

There is just so much description in this book of characters, scenery and the elements that you basically feel like you are in the book following Lexi along as she tries to complete her trials whilst keeping her harem of Princes together. Like the last book there are some really sexual moments which break up the terror that the Storm King seems to produce not just in his kingdom, but also for you as a reader. The man is bat shit! Just saying! We also see more from Gemma, which is truly heart-breaking. Just keep holding on!

There are lots of twists and turns, new characters and of course a cliff-hanger just to keep you guessing as well as some really gut-wrenching scenes. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next! If you like paranormal reverse-harem romance, then this is the book for you. I am very excited to see what book 3 is going to bring because that cliff-hanger was epic!

This story gets better and better. The Storms are off on an errand for dear old dad. He wants a chimera egg. And hes threatening death to anyone who matters to Alexis. She's had it rough at his hands. Being forced to marry and then consummate with Cal in front of all the queens, and her mom and best friend snapped something in her. She's growing more with each trial faced.

This book saw her reunited with Asher (Adam), the brothers all reunited. They're stronger together. But it also brings them an illegitimate brother, one who has no magic, but who's accidental addition to their bond saves them, and whom they save. The ending sees them try to stand up to the King. He doesn't know Asher is alive, which leaves Asher helpless to fight. But the ending also sees Asher discover the Kings secret....and find the Gods are really still there, a fact that's been questioned for 2 books now.

This was a fantastic continuation of an already amazing story. I love how strong Alexis is becoming. I love her bond with the guys. And I love how they all take care of each other, in all kinds of ways, becoming closer each time they face a new challenge. The ending had me shook with worry, and curiosity. I cannot wait to see where things go from here.

Stormy Nights is second in the Storms of Blackwood series by Elle Middaugh. DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU HAVE NOT READ BOOK ONE! SAVE YOUR VIRGIN EYES FROM BEING SPOILED! So we pick up exactly where we left off, Speedy is really Asher/Adam! I was so excited at this revelation. Alexis and her men are back in the thick of things, having to deal with the Storm Kings bullshit. He continues to try and control the group by torturing the people they love most. This book has some darker elements, but they serve the purpose of reigniting the readers hate for the wicked cruel King. The group get tasked with retrieving a magical egg for the King, and some unexpected side effects come into play from the blood bond they formed in book one. We get to see different sides of the men, and watch everyone adjust to Asher being alive and Alexis’ ex-boyfriend. The bonds grow and strengthen, so does the heat! Some of the guys didn’t get scenes in the first book, but HOT DAMN they sure do in this book. The heat rises exponentially, so prepare yourself ladies. I was quite excited to see Gemma and Tristan’s story, their love is freaking adorable. All in all, this book was an awesome follow up, and with new secrets revealed, I seriously cannot wait to see where Ms. Middaugh takes us next.

Well this series just keeps getting better and better. The Storm King truly takes twisted sociopath to a whole new level, with his sickening torturous "games". I love that Alexis' relationships with the Storm Princes gets deeper and more intense in this book, and their adventures around the Kingdoms are amazing. The authors imagination must be a wonderful place because her descriptions are vivid and paint a perfect picture, and really I can't wait to see where and how Alexis and the guys are going to get out of their diabolical situation, which with the cliffhanger it ends on seems even worse! All in all, two books in and I'm chomping at the bit for book 3, it's a fantastic story, and well written, get it you know you want to! There is a particular situation in this book that is disturbing/horrific to put it lightly and I believe the author has rightly put a trigger warning out, however I do believe that as long as this won't trigger you, it is an important scenario as it illustrates the truly dreadful plight of the MC and how sick her tormentor is.

OMG This book was amazing! This book was just as good as the first book. It is so different from my style but I loved it! Elle Middaugh did not disappoint! All the angst and drama from book one rolled over and amplified into book 2.
The Storm King is just horrid! The things he makes his children, their mothers, Alexis, Gemma, and anyone else who gets in his way. There are so many twists and turns in this book, I didn't know what to expect next! Alexis' strength has bloomed during this book and I only hope to see it continue into the next book. Not only does she grow on her own but so does her relationship with her Storm Princes. Oh and the hot and sexiness this book brings to the table is so much better than book 1.
Of course this book ended with a big cliff hanger! I need the next book now so I can see what happens! I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

Stormy Nights is the second book in the Storms of Blackwood series by Elle Middaugh.

As per the first book (Taken by Storm), Elle has an ability to capture the readers interest immediately. Plus the emotions which are displayed by Alexis suck you into the story more, whatever she’s feeling, I felt. Especially the “aww” moment, part way through the first chapter.

With Alexis and her Princes - Calvin the Sky Prince, Daniel the Sea Prince, Benson the Sand Prince, Robert the Spirit Prince and finally the returned Asker (aka Adam, aka Speedy) the Shifter Prince, you’ll be drawn into a world that’s addictive.

I’m patiently waiting for the third book in the series, which I already feel like I’ll devour this book just as instantly as the first two books in the series. If you’re looking for a new series to start, these books are definitely a top pick.

Stormy Nights was a book that leaves you just wanting more. The story, the characters, the overall feeling you get while reading is completely addicting. I want everything Elle is giving us and so much more. I don't know that I could get my fill of this series any time soon. I'm the mother of an 8 month old so sleep is precious to me but I willing gave some up last night just so I would never have to put down the book because it felt more important to continue to immerse myself in this world than catch some sleep. It ended and my only disappointment is that I didn't have more to keep in in this beautiful world. Elle Middaugh is a goddess for bringing these books into my life and she will forever have a place in my favourite authors.

This book is simply epic. This world is even more complicated and complex than I thought. The idea is even more twisted than I thought. The plot is even better than I thought. And I love all those characters even more than I thought. I loved first part but this one simply overdone it. It kept me on the edge of my chair. It kept me awake. It kept me completely involved. I simply loved every word of it, every twist, every part.. ok.. not every part, there was some very nasty parts, triggering parts, complicated parts. It bring more to the story, more into character of this cruel king, it’s awful nevertheless it brings this additional touch to the story. I simply need to know what happen next, right now if possible.

It just keeps getting better! I really didn't think Elle could top the first book, but this just has MORE of everything I loved the first time around! I love that there is the perfect amount of humor to break up this sinister plot that the King weaves. And oh my - the plot twists!

I love that this is RH with a fast burn! The scenes are so steamy and the guys so yummy! But along with that fast burn, you still get to experience new love interests as the series goes on. It really makes it the best of both worlds - you get all the hot scenes and still the excitement of newer romance!

Do yourself a favor and add some Storm princes to your life!

When the first words out of the FMC's mouth are "You shit on me!" You know the book is going to be good and d@mn did Elle deliver. If you want a book that is going to keep you up until 5am reading because you just had to know how it ends, this is your book. When you think you know what is going on Elle just completely changes things. And that ending....... Let me just rip my heart out and throw it at Elle because I won't get it back until the next book. I can't wait to see where this story goes and the new twists and turns. BTW I still want to kill the king..... slowly....... with a spoon. I never thought I could hate a character so much until now. Elle you are truly a Goddess!

A walk in the park. Leisure read.
YEAH RIGHT. This sequel didn't just suprised me but, it also delivered a death-defying punch in the gut.
Emotions that I felt brewed a storm inside me. God, I've never felt such hate to a character, such pity and regret to a situation that is beyond my control, excitement on a future development, laughter on their silly banter, and love for the devotion they have in their relationship.

Ms. Elle, Lady! ANOTHER PLOT TWIST!!! I gotta hand it to you. You are the best. Now what are we supposed to do with our life until book 3.. *praying eagerly for the next installment *

The series is good! Must read in order to understand!! Be warned, the antagonist is pure evil. Sadistic and loves to torture our heroines! Things gets more complicated, darker and deadlier in book two. Alexis is struggling to keep her loved ones alive who are being held by the evil king. We get a new prince added to the harem! I did not see that coming! Alot of twist and turns! We finally get a glimpse as to how the king happens to be insanely strong 😱. The Gods make an appearance and everything is not what it seems! Cant wait for the next book! Read it with my kindle unlimited.

I absolutely love this book!! You get to know so much more about Asher and the relationship the brothers all have and to see the relationships build and grow between them and Lexi is amazing. Gemma even has her own few chapters!! Its so exciting!! The king..list ugh, the king definitely needs to go. I cant stop thinking about this book and everything that happens. There is the right amount of humor to counter act the darkness as well and I NEED the next book like my life depends on it!! The ending!! Again!! Its so not fair with these cliff hangers!!

Elle Middaugh knocked it out of the park! Stormy Nights exceeded my expectations. There were multiple scenes that left me laughing and even more that left me swooning over the guys. I thoroughly enjoyed the character development as well as the banter between all of the characters. Plus I still got Speedy! I was left with an even bigger need to to take down the Storm King than book one (dude needs to go). I'm completely invested in this story and am so excited for Storm Chaser! I loved this steamy read! More please!!

This series is definitely in my all time favorites! It just keeps getting better and I had a really hard time putting it down to do adult stuff today. Who am I kidding? I totally didn't put it down for a second due to how immersed I was in the story and characters. I seriously have no clue how Elle is going to wrap this up because she is good at throwing those curveballs to keep you guessing, especially after that cliffhanger!! As long as they all get their HEA, and the king dies, I'll be happy!

What a book! I didn't expect this book to top book one, and oh boy did it exceed my expectations. This second instalment continues on from book one and has more of everything you could love in a great book. The story flowed, the characters are exquisite and elle's writing is just brilliant. The plot is breathtaking and so entertaining that I didn't want the book to end. There was humour, hot scenes and Omg moments galore. Loved every single page. Alexis is one lucky girl. Fantastic series that everyone should read! Five bright and shiny stars!

This book was ah-mazing! It takes you on a ride that is full of “oh shit” turns, but you enjoy it anyway.. this series keeps getting better. I feel bad for Alexis when it comes to the Storm King.. he’s so sadistic! I’m so glad we get to learn more about Asher, why he did what he did and how he feels about Alexis. The passion and romance in this book..holy crap... wowzer.. can I take her place? 🤣🤣 Everything was so detailed and well written. I really really loved this story! I can’t wait to find out what happens in the next one!

Holy cow Elle has successfully left me needing more!! Absolutely love the development of Alexis and her Storm Knights !! Even if I wanna grap that evil evil storm king and snap his neck. They go through so many trials and tribulations in this book they learn how to work together as a unit. They have to try to outsmart the Storm King, ic thats possible because everyone they know including Alexis baby niece is in danger from the storm king. I seriously can't wait for book 3 this series is amazing !!!
