The book is an assemblage of poems written on love, heartbreak, social inequities on women and to what society claims as weak people; likewise it’s written on overcoming of heartbreak and depression. The book is divided into two sections – Section 1: ‘I Wish I Could Freeze This Time, To Hold You One Last Time’; and Section 2: ‘What a Gem They Lost!!!’ which is further divided into two parts, Part One and Part Two. Each poem will have something positive to convey at the end, which is written with deep emotions and pure honesty of the writer.
Firstly, thanks to the poet for giving me a copy for free in exchange for an honest review.I am not someone who reads/or has read a lot of poetry. But this book is impressive and often hits the male ego hard. The poems especially my favourite 'A Maverick Woman' are written in a language that can be understood by most people familiar with the English language. The presentation is beautiful and once you pick up the book, you would complete it.I found two minor flaws, one was that lot of the text was dedicated to the softness, tenderness etc of a woman;which in my opinion sometimes dimnishes the value of the poem. The second small problem is that the poem 'Ode to Kashmir' has been inserted 'in between the book'.I think, this poem should have been at the last. Its an excellent book and read by all people interested in modern Indian poetry.Arguably, its better than a lot of youtube channels by miles.
Note: review copy received in exchange for an honest review
I cannot stress this enough. To all Publisher Houses: please, please, PLEASE stop publishing books you know WELL enough shouldn't see the light of day. Not only do you raise the author's hopes by an awful standard, but you also end up rejecting books that actually DESERVE to be published. Please stop. Also: poetry is NOT two or three English sentences hastily put together and bunched up to rhyme. If it hasn't got class, there's no point calling it poetry just because the sentence rhyme. I really wish people understood what poetry is about before claiming they can write it Instead of even reviewing this book, I would just put down a few of the "verses" that were clammed up then printed out on paper to be deemed as poetry
1. I lie pallid, in abjectness
2. Finagle I loved you with all my soul and you loved me, but to reach your vicious goal. (Why the title?)
3. The rumpled bed, the crumpled sheets Lies where your sweatshirts and hooded tees
4. Lurking, Gray moon swathed in silver gray Peeping through my window gently, kissing the way every night, you on my forehead bestow. Yearning, That gray moon swathed in silver gray snap your window, to spray the mourning forlorn tears of my eyes cheerfully as you lie.
5. My love, When you said “I love you” But, “I can never marry you,” My voice, glued My feet, numbed My ears, deluded. Ten years, duped One day, refused.
6. see the glowing smile on the face, you wear exalted much, to meet her in the hamlet fair my words lose, my vision blur
7. When I see you speaking on the phone with thy future wife...
8. The blissful smile that you wear so insolently on your face is, also the evidence of my answered prayers from the Almighty God (I really don't think it's a blessing from the Almighty God)
9. I am like a jasmine flower, You kept me at the corner of your home and kept wandering outside, in search of honey But, there were people who became drawn to the fragrance I spread and wander around me like a bee
10. You and I are so perfect together baby, for, you are the perfect example of “change is (inevitable)” and me and my undying love for you is the perfect example of “love is (inevitable)” Even though, we do not share the same “roof” together there is one thing same that we share together The word “(inevitable)”. Thus, together we are Forever “inevitable” baby
11. once again My Love, in the light of the beautiful moon you shall bask with enormous mirth and the blue sky above
12. I acquiesced unwillingly for you happily What is 'acquiesced' supposed to mean here?
I hereby rest my case. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has no idea what poetry means (or wants to waste an hour of their day).

What is the mark of a great writer? What makes a book worth reading? Is it the flawless grammar? Maybe it's the amazing charcter development that draws a reader in? For me although these things are important. What makes a book a true steal is the emotions behind the story. Whether or not the writer was able to touch the hearts of the readers is what to me makes a best seller. If you are inclined to agree with me I highly recommend you get the book "HER FAVROITE COLORS." By P. Serah B.
It's a book like no other as each poem written conveys a message of love, loss, heartbreak, and hope. Although not every poem has a specific story attached, every poem comes with a message that will leave you in tears. This very talented author with her flawless spelling, and occasional grammar mistakes has written a piece that can only be described as a true work of art. If you enjoy motivational poetry that grabs the readers attention I recommend you check out Her Favroite Colors. You surely won't regret it.
I give this book a total of 5 stars only because I can't give it a 10 out of 5 haha. ;)
MY REVIEW: 💠This book is a collection of poems based on inequalities with women, love, heartbreak and other social issues. . 💠All the poems were having some positive vibes that made me feel happy and motivated. . 💠Few poems are inspired by the real life incidents of author (I guess) and other happenings in society like Pulwana Attack, Life of a sea turtle, forever giving attitude of all mothers, rape etc. . 💠I loved most of the poems. They are encouraging and depicting reality of today's world and society. So these poems are more of practical rather than just fantasizing things and hence I loved them. . 💠As author herself said that each poem have something positive to convey at the end. It is perfectly true for me. . 💠Titles of the poems are very interesting. Even book name is also catchy. Loved the cover. Overall, it was a great read for me.
