The Second Wave, but not simply of poetry, but also of short stories and anecdotes. Some inspired by real-life events, others merely by experiences and considerations. Others still, simply works of fiction. As ever, how you perceive them, is entirely up to you...
This is the second poetry collection of Sean’s that I’ve had the privilege of reading. Having read it in a single sitting, I enjoyed every piece for different reasons and would strongly recommend.
As always, a feeling of zen and bliss is captured throughout the book, which is typically of Sean’s tone and style. It’s important that poets perfect their own voice, and Sean has certainly mastered his.
In a departure from his Ghost books, Sean has offered up his soul. In each poem, we get a look at the workings of his mind and creative spirit. In some cases dark and gloomy, and in others very insightful.
