Scotland, late 1700s.

How believable was this story?
1) 4 beautiful sisters (including h) were trained
warriors. Their love interests supported this?!
2) King George the 2nd showed up in the middle
of nowhere?
3) A man instructed a rat to remove a key from
a baddie's pocket? To help the good guys.
4) The story included phrases "bust some heads
(4% mark)" & "Give it up Loughlin...(15% mark.)"
5) Everything fell into place.

Too stubborn, Cenna, the heroine, felt compelled
to rescue others, after her eldest sister was captured
in the past. Eldest sister survived & shared her
happiness at beginning of story.

A warrior's heart ❤

Cenna and Tristan are sent back to reclaim her home and fight against those that have been destroying the properties and lives of the people in order to claim the land.
Red Munro is a rogue that thinks he is mightier than King 👑George and receives a rather rude awakening when he finds that the King 👑is more aware of what has been happening in the countryside and is leading his own army of men.

this is part of the Ross Sisters series stories. The story focuses on Cenna & Tristan but all the characters from the previous book are also involved in the story which i liked.
There was also much more humor in this one which had me chuckling.
moved at a quick pace & had lots of action as well as slowly developing sexual chemistry.

What an exciting, action filled twist on the Highland trope. Instead of highland hunky warriors, which there are, the focus was on the four Ross sisters known for their fierceness in battle. Equal to any man worth his salt at war. It was fun to get to know the four sisters. They each had their own personalities from fierce to modest and unassuming to dreamy, charming and one who is good natured and down to earth. The three older sisters were loved by intelligent, brawny, huge highlanders. Only the youngest, who kept her head in the clouds filled with love and romance was unattached. The story revolved around their journey to save their home Fionnaghall from the evil sheriff who was murdering and burning down villages so he could claim the land. As the three sisters and the rest of the male warriors made the trek to Fionnaghall they came across atrocities and did what they could to stop them. Along the way, the sheriff and his men captured the fiercest of the sisters. Little did she know their whole contingency of warriors were captured as well. I won't tell you what happened from here because the story is so good you just have to read it yourself. Our warrioress found an unlikely ally during her captivity. She also used her size as a woman to fool the idiot men that held her hostage. When things happened, the men blamed her and the rest of the group laughed at them. They could not believe a tiny woman would be capable of such things. OH, this is so good. It is a must read. You will not be disappointed.

Highlander's Scarred Angel by Alisa Adams is the story of Cenna and Tristan and a continuation of an earlier book about four warrior women in Scotland who fight to save their home from theft and their oldest sister from being forced to marry the thief in order to perpetrate the theft. All is well now and Gordon MacDonell and his bride, Godet Ross are happily married and ensconced in the Castle Conell. There is another threat to the Ross family home, Fionnaghall, and Gordon is sending his brother Tristan and sister-in-law, Cenna to deal with it. The three other sisters, Godet, Flori, and Ina all want to help but Godet is forced to listen to reason as she is with child, but the others and a contingent of
the Black Guard as well as MacDonell warriors set off to defend Fionnaghall.

The story is so well-plotted that it is difficult to summarize. There are so many subplots and peripheral characters that the only solution is to read it for yourself. It is quite a journey and one you won't want to miss. Cenna is truly a warrior and Tristan has to make a journey to discover that to love her means allowing her to be her own person. Through all the trials, they survive, make new friends, and accomplish what they must. I like this book a lot and recommend it to lovers of highland romance.

I received a free ARC of Highlander's Scarred Angel. All opinions and interpretations contained herein are solely my own.

Oh my goodness!! This was an amazing story of a fierce warrior woman and her fierce warrior sisters. To finally finally admit you love someone is so refreshing. Cenna is a strong willed fierce warrior you wouldn’t want to face by yourself. She is skilled with the dirk and loves her da’s phrase ‘what is ye name’ when the ask why she says ‘fer yer grave marker’. Tristan is her new brother in laws brother and is smitten with Cenna. They go to take back her home and along the way they have many adventures. Saving a village and it’s people, kidnapping, being arrested, fighting, marriage, new friendships and much more. And there’s a little bit more about her two other sister who aren’t married. Great read!!

I received this as an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review!!

More of Those Darn Highlanders🐺🏰🔪!

For some reason, I just could not get into this book. Although well written and thought out, It's really not my idea of a highlander romance. Maybe too many characters and too much idle dialogue? Not enough action? I found myself skipping pages looking for some real action, and that's a bad sign.

Other readers may 💘love this story about three highland warrior lasses who go about the🏰 Heather looking for fights and tall, muscled highlander lads🐺🔪. There is also their aunt who rides a pony while the lasses ride draft horses🐎 trained into war horses.

ARC Received from Bookfunnel🌀

Riveting, exhilarating and heart warming

This book is a must read. The story will make you mad, make you cry and make you happy. You will cheer for the good guys. You will want to be in the story to dish out your own punishment. You might even find yourself holding your breath. The author has outdone herself with this book. It was a pleasure to read. I can’t wait for the next book.

Woman warrior

This is my favorite of this series by far. Warrior sister Cenna is sent to regain the family home, white shoulders castle from a wicked sheriff. Cenna is matched with a handsome warrior and brotherinlaw , Tristan to accomplish this deed. They must battle fiercely to win. A surprise visit by the King is delightful! Horses and crazy aunts found out the fun.

Cenna and Tristan

Warrior princess running from the warrior. Tristan was drawn to her from the first and Cenna liked him as friends but as he tried to become more she put the brakes on! I hope the other sisters of the Ross clan have their stories too! Clean no sex. - Babs

Good story.

I enjoyed Tristan and Cenna's story. Cenna is beautiful but a warrior and that is her requirement of a husband. In her eyes Tristan is too handsome to be a warrior. She soon finds out he is more than a pretty face.

Good read

This is a good stand alone book. The book has a great plot, great characters and really pulls you in. I love the action, adventure and romance, just don’t read the free short story that she allows you to download after the book is finished. The free short story ruins future books. I don’t know what the writer was thinking by spoiling the stories. I’m not sure I want to read more which is sad because the full books are amazing minus some editing errors but they are much fewer than in the first book. Overall O would recommend the books but just don’t download the free books or if you do don’t read them till the end of the series to see what happens to everyone.

Highlander’s Scarred Angel

Tristin and Cenna were going to Fionaghall Castle to defend it. Cenna was taken after she got out of her bath in a pond. Tristin went after her. Then he was caught and put into a prison wagon. Red Munro as sheriff was a very bad man. Cenna and her sisters helped to get Tristin out along with other prisoners that were falsely imprisoned. Red noticed this and left camp. King George happened and helped to end it all but not before he blessed their marriage right there in the woods.

Book ok, but hate what this author does

She insist the the ending (extra ending) be downloaded from "bookfunnel" and Kindled don't like having their security turned off to get something she could put at end of book. Kindle has to turn ALL security off which could do a lot of damage. Thing is SHE KNOWS THIS AND WANTS US TO DO IT ANYWAY! ALISA ADAMS CAN SHOVE HER BOOKS...IF KINDLE IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE BOOK WHY NOT FOR EPILOGUE!!! SHE'S NOT MAKING ANY FRIENDS OUT HERE AND NO WAY TO EMAIL HER DIRECTLY. ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH THIS STUPID AUTHOR?

The Highland Sheriff’s dishonor

This was another interesting novel filled with action and romance. This book revolved around The Clearings, which took place in a totally despicable time in Scottish history, and was interesting to learn about. Yet, this book had a lot of humor for such a serious subject. It was also very whimsical in places, a little too far fetched, but entertaining nevertheless. I recommend this book, but after reading the first in the series, so that the reader fully understands the characters.

Riveting and feel good tale as love blossoms for Cenna and Tristan.

Author Alisa Adams writes a phenomenally action packed and fast paced highland tale that will whisk you away to the late 1700's where strong women, Laird Cenna in particular, one of the Ross sisters, must fight to keep the Ross home and lands from unscrupulous and tyrannical men while fighting her feelings for the highlander she comes to love.

Alisa is a really good storyteller. I love to read her books and especially the books that are a series where one leads into another. I love this series because the Clydesdale horses made me fall in love with all of the characters. In this particular book, I love how the characters were always saying “ I am keeping him or her”! I would suggest that anybody who loves to read for enjoyment like I do, read this book.

Immature

This book is written on the maturity level of a third grader. The plot Idea had potential but the writer ruins it with poor dialogue. The swearing in Gaelic is also overdone. There is zero character development. This is the second book in this series. I had hoped there may be improvement from the first book. I was sorely disappointed

Tristan and Cenna.

Tristan was one of my favorite characters in the first book and that continued in the second. I enjoyed the first 140 pages of the first book until it became unbelievable and that is how I feel about this book as well. Too much of it is unbelievable. I don’t think I’ll read anymore in this series.

Highlander's Scarred Angel

This book continued the story of Godet's sisters, Fiori, Cenna and Ina as the fight for control of Fionnaghall. It is as delightfull as book 1. Many twists and turns but King George becomes involved in this story. Thank you Alisa, well done!

Continuing storyline

Godet's story was exquisite but Cenna's story was powerful. It made me feel like I was right there in her story. The aunts were so delightful. King georgie the rat was funny. I couldn't stop reading.

Highlander's scarred angel

Book2 in the series was just as good as book1. Loved this story and the characters. Although we met them all in book 1, they were just as good in this story as well.

Good

Enjoyed the romance and the other characters.
The man with the beard and all the animals was sweet but a little too much.

Loved this book, the second in the series, it can be read as a stand alone. While it follows the same historical story and incorporates many of the same characters but focuses on another of the four sisters.

I loved this book. It made me laugh. It doesn’t have sex scenes but there is steamy kissing & groping. So I don’t think it’s necessarily “clean” but it’s not as bad as a normal romance novel.
