JT and Hannah travel the southwest, dodging encounters with both the living and the dead. Gus and Linda make themselves a safe place in a tucked away mountain town.
Everyone seems to have found a kind of peace in the zombie filled world. Until it is shattered.
When JT and Hannah return to visit their old friends, they find a town attacked and all the residences missing, except for a few dead bodies discovered in random places. Was the town attacked by zombies or was it somebody more sinister? Are Gus and the rest still alive, out in the zombie post apocalypse?
Read Deadlocked, the 4th in The Outbreak series, to find out.
Robert lives in the Kansas City area, is a husband, and a father of twin boys. He likes post apocalyptic stories, probably a little too much. Somehow he also fits in the time to write.
A horror, science fiction and fantasy book fan since his teens, (which was a very long time ago) Robert hopes he can bring enjoyment to his readers like Fred Saberhagen, Michael Moorcock, Anne McCaffrey, J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephen King, and many other did for him.
Wow! I am new to this site and I already love it and this is my very first review and here is why! Sure the big name writers get tons of reviews and ratings but the lesser known ones seem looked over. So, here it goes! My husband originally bought the first book in this series, liked it and told me I might like it too so I checked it recently on vacation and wound up reading all four books in the series in just under two weeks! They set a blistering, fun pace and never let up! The third book (Dead Of Winter) and the fourth book (Deadlocked) are by far my favorite two of this series and I am keeping my fingers, toes and all other flexible parts crossed that they write more! The characters feel real and relatable, the humor is laugh out loud funny at times. I love the character Gus but I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WITH HANNAH AND JT AND THEIR SITUATION AT THE END OF THIS BOOK!!!! The way this book ends feels ripe for either a heartbreaking fifth installment or a heartwarming finale!!
Loved this four book series. I hope the author's decide to extend its run with further adventures by this group of great characters. They need better proofreading but the plot and fast action offset the errors. Bravo.
Baker and Wagner could have left this story wrapped in its little trilogy sized packet. To my joy, they neatly and with style opened the world back up to join our favorite characters in a new adventures. I must admit, I devoured this book even faster! I was so on the edge of my seat, I didn’t want to ever stop reading… I promise, fellow reading addicts, this is worth reading. And as usual… I’m off to the next installment!
This book crams a whole lot into the final 50 or so pages. It's clear that someone really likes Negan's character from The Walking Dead as the villain is nearly a direct copy. Ending is rushed and a bit unsatisfying. It's clearly meant to be setting up the next book of the series, but at the time of this review there has been no news of if there will be another book.
