It's all fun and games until someone gets murdered...

In this gripping new action suspense from award-winning author Shannon Curtis, an undercover bodyguard must protect a witness who is unaware of her guardian. The only problem - she's on a killer's hit list, and they're playing a dangerous game of hunter and prey deep in the Californian wilderness.

A former soldier struggling with loss, grief and guilt...

Undercover bodyguard Knox Landon has an easy job monitoring this pretty principle - he's got her routine down pat. Work, sleep, repeat. Hired by her father, he watches over her from a safe distance, but after coming to her rescue after a physical attack in a hotel room, he realises he's going to have to get up close and personal in order to protect his client's daughter.

A woman who has already faced too much betrayal...

Logistics manager, Michaela Robson, is fighting the whistleblower stigma after busting an illegal drug smuggling ring at work, and hopes to build trust with her work team at the company's annual retreat. The last thing on her mind is a steamy workplace romance with the new alpha male freight handler on her team, but Knox has the uncanny ability to be there for her when she desperately needs him, and of showing her that freight isn't the only thing he can handle so skilfully.

Caught in a sniper's crosshairs, Michaela must decide whether she can trust this man full of secrets. For Knox, though, protecting this woman means facing his own demons, consequences be damned.

Easy Target is a fantastic romantic suspense story from Shannon Curtis. Undercover bodyguard Knox Landon was hired to look after Logistics manager, Michaela Robson, by her father. However, things changed when he had to break cover to protect her from an attack in her hotel room, which caused him to become her personal bodyguard. Michaela Robson did not believe she needed a bodyguard until things started to happen. She decided to trust Knox Landon to keep her safe. Readers of Easy Target will continue to follow Know Landon and Michaela Robson to discover what happens next.

I love Shannon Curtis's writing style, which keeps me engaged with her plots and characters from the first page to the end. I understand the issues bodyguards face when looking after clients and the dangers they face. In addition, I began to think about other topics that returning military personnel face upon returning from combat.

I love Shannon Curtis's portrayal of her characters and the way they intertwine throughout this book. Easy Target is well written and researched by Shannon Curtis. I like Shannon Curtis's description of Easy Target's setting, which helped me imagine being part of the book's plot.

I recommend this book.

It has been a while since I have read one of MS Curtis’s stories and believe you me it was worth the wait, she pulls everything out with her stories and this one is fabulous, fast paced, lots of action and danger and such a sensual romance as undercover bodyguard Knox Landon is hired to protect beautiful and strong Michaela Robson from a killer.

Knox Landon works for Safekeepers INC a security company and his new case should be easy, get a job at the logistics company she works at, stay close keep an eye on her but when a team building trip sees him saving her life and then an orienteering trip has a killer shooting Knox gets to see what a strong and caring person Mic is and keeping his heart closed after what he has been through is getting harder.

Mic Robson is determined to show her father that she is capable of doing any job that she sets her mind to and when at her new job she uncovers a drug smuggling ring and blows the whistle, her life is going to upended. Mic is a very strong woman and is determined to get the company running normally, and having a fling with one of the new workers is not what she wants but when said worker Knox saves her life at the retreat not once but twice her emotions are flying in all directions, but can she trust him?

MS Curtis had me turning the pages with this one, I loved the characters Mic, so strong and caring Knox is the best hero I loved him so much, the sensual pull between these two lights up the pages and with murder and mayhem there is such witty banter that I was smiling throughout as well as being on the edge of my seat, this is a story that I highly recommend, it was hard to put down and the first in a series I can’t wait to read the other SafeKeeper’s stories .

This book was surprising a great blend of thriller suspense and romance. I loved every moment of this book and i just couldn't put it down from the moment I started.
Sex: Yes, but not excessive and it fits with the flow of the book. More so, it's so well written and hot.
Plot: Mic and Knox meet at work after she exposes a drug ring in her company. What the reader knows, but Mic doesn't, is that Knox is a member of the company her father hired to protect her. When the company team building retreat comes about, there is not one, but two attempts made on Mic's life, making the Easy Target that Knox thought this job would be, a lot more work, and more than challenging and fatal for more than just one.
World: Set in modern times, Mic works at a logistics company in the US, working in the family business, but determined to make it on her own away from her father's company.
Recommend: Yes. This is my first read of Shannon Curtis, but I'm keen to continue with this series, as I found it to be a gripping read.
