This is a remarkable collection, and has in the space of just a few days gone from being in my "unread" pile to my "favorite poetry collections" list. Henry-Smith's tender, delicate command –– or, better yet, relationship –– with and to the world of phenomena that comprise this text is truly stunning. The way they allow form, medium, and meaning to mingle on the page is magic, and I feel I am not just reading their work but living in a space only they could have written. Their wor(l)dplay de-and-re-familiarizes everyday realities as small as a dewdrop and offers them to readers imbued with newfound meaning. What a generous gift this book is.

A brilliant collection of poetry and photography. An exploration of wildness in all its compositions, from nature to emotion. Traversing landscape, memory, sensation and self. The book is a feast of alliteration which I ate up. Lots of lines I loved and bookmarked to read over and over.

An incredible hybrid poetry & photography collection - one of the most sonically rich poetry collections I've read in recent memory! I absolutely felt like I was beyond myself reading this whole book!

read these into they greying part of the day under the bunkbed after baby kicked me off the desk to draw. reading these works aloud are so resensitizing and I can feel the tongue tumbling loose into a rich and resonant sonic space,, with many generative avenues for meaning (un)making.

what more could I ask for & who would give it to me? in the kitchen making day's first tea w/ my loves in mind & all I'm grateful for, or it's night & there you are on the little chair giggling tightly about little spoons in falsehoods, young bird thimble drinking how soon you switch. day again: Light burst through the window like it needed to be there, like it was late for something.

running around & away:
when I consider the great many things that disappoint me I start w/ myself & end in the stars & refresh in the nauseating glow of gaseous capacities. it's what you'd want, deep spring swimming all blooms are latent potential realized.

A great hybrid collection of poetry & pictures. The language/syntax in this book is so rich with texture and sound and the pictures are an interesting mix of color and black & white. Feels almost like wandering through the rooms of someone’s life. Loved sitting with this!

lingered with this one for a long while. felt intimate, prophetic, mournful, mischief filled, layered w a sensory richness that I'm still feeling thru in the after(math).

The book is beautiful. The poetry is experimental and innovative and not for me. But I can appreciate the love the author placed on the crafting of this project
