The Holy Bible (NKJV): New Testament

by Thomas Nelson Publishers

Commissioned in 1975 by Thomas Nelson Publishers, 130 respected Bible scholars, church leaders, and lay Christians worked for seven years to create a completely modern edition of the King James Version that would continue the classic tradition of the original King James. With unyielding faithfulness to the original Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic texts, the translators applied the most recent research in archaeology, linguistics, and textual studies. The resulting work provides today's Bible reader with an accurate and modern translation of the Scriptures with the stylistic beauty and memorable quality of the King James.

This is the best book that has ever been written.
I believe we all yearn for a connection with Jesus Christ .... and reading this book and understanding it is a real foundation.
Some people say "BIBLE" ... stands for... "Basis Instructions Before Leaving Earth."
We all need this instruction .. it saves lives and saves souls.

Some years I read the Bible as a whole but for 2024 and 2025 I broke it up into two years. I used The Bible Project reading plan this year on the Bible app and liked it very much. The introduction videos for each book were really helpful.

Read for summer reading challenge 2024. It’s as good as it always has been.
