The solar system is stuck in a decades long cold war between the two major powers on Earth. Luna is torn between two allegiances, with each superpower controlling a dome on the home world's moon. In the asteroid belt, six mining colonies govern themselves. In the midst of it all is the Transport Guild.
Erik Frost is the captain of a guild freighter. He took command when his father died four years ago, left with large debts and a rattling old ship badly in need of an overhaul. When he is offered a mysterious job with few details and a high payout, he can't resist the opportunity it represents. He and his crew head deep into the system for the asteroid belt to deliver their cargo, unprepared for the dangers they would soon face.
They say some things are too good to be true, and this job could be one of them.
After more than two decades of working IT support for a nationwide bank, I decided it was finally time to start putting my imagination to the page. Creating stories and new worlds has been second nature for me since I was a kid, and I'm enjoying this chance to share those stories with others.

Interruptus. I'm all for authors making money, but I hate it when they "end" one book in the middle of the story. It's a disservice to their readers, to say the very least.
This is one of those books that once you start, you just can’t put down. The backstory and universe building made this somewhere you would want to live, even with all the problems the characters need to deal with. I recommend this book and am glad this is just the first book in a series.
Low key space opera which becomes much more as struggling independent spacer, his small crew and ship recovered from a junk yard become entangled in major conflict.
A realistic look at what could occur as humanity expands from earth and form their own governments. How these governments react to a clear danger is realistic too. Well written and engaging.
Good writing is supported by good character development and some interesting supporting cast. The story was intriguing and with sufficient promise to have me continue to the second book.
A Guild space freighter takes on a secret mission and it goes bad. They are captured by a huge warship owned by one of the rulling corporations and manage to escape.
A well written and enthralling near-future sci-fi with great characters and a solid plot. A lot of threads wrapped up with enough left over for the future novels.
This was a good idea. The plot was pretty cool. The idea of starting a war with a ship that was secret was cool. I will look forward to reading the next book.
