Discover a whole new world of dogs with this revolutionary, breed-specific guide. The Yorkie's coat can be challenging to maintain. Learn how to bathe, comb, and trim this pooch to keep him looking clean and beautiful.
This book was helpful since it is specific to yorkies, while most of the other books I've been reading have been how to train all dogs. There are the cutest yorkie pictures inside, and it advises on everything from the history of yorkies, to grooming him (we aren't the "do it yourself" type, but I guess we could try?,) to feeding him, training him, etc, all the way into making the tough decision when he is an old pup about what to do with him. (A bit of advice: don't read the very end until you're at the end of you dog's life. We haven't even seen our puppy in person yet, but reading this still made me cry.)
There is a training DVD included, which John was excited about. He thought it would be much easier to just watch a quick movie than read all the puppy books. Unfortunately, the DVD isn't yorkie specific and is really general information that wasn't helpful. I did watch it after reading all the other books, so maybe it would be helpful if I hadn't read anything prior to watching it.
