Find out in Old Secrets, the thirteenth book in the Survivors series.
I'm not going to review each and every of the 18, so far, books in this series because it would be exhausting. Suffice it to say, as I just this morning told my son, to have the talent to write a series of 18 books (so far) and each and every book be as engaging, thrilling and be able to pull a reader right into the story instead of being a spectator to it is so rare and his books do that. From book 1 to the current book 18. Also, these are not novellas or short stories. Each in this series is a full on NOVEL. I've been opened to genres I never thought I'd be interested in before and it's writers like Nathan Hystad that make that possible .... that make reading ..... an important part of my life.
This is a great book an a great series. I love all of Nathan's books. This one explores more of the daughters role in the series. Lots of time travel and multiple dimensions are discussed. Great story overall.
Jules and Dean try to bring Patty back to Natalie.
They're wandering space and time to catch up with Patty and free her from the Zan'ra. Almost all of the Survivors are bent on capturing or preferably killing Lol of Pleva before he merges all the splintered versions of time together and kills them all. It's good seeing them together again mourning their losses. I almost wish they could just settle down and let the Universe fend for itself, but that would never work. Lom is still there in the future, somehow pulling strings in the present. They can never rest until the Lom threat is ended. The usual amazing characters are present with another twisty storyline too keep us bewildered and more action than a dancing girl at a saloon on a Friday night. Another great read!
What a read this has been. I loved it. Everyone seems to be holding on to a secret of some sort. The search is on for Patty. The attacks on Dean by people hired by Lom of Pleva, but the secret question is how Lom is directing this in Dean's timeline? And what of Jules? She keeps learning more and more about who she truly is. The fight for good vs evil is on. Nathan Hystad, thank you ever so much for bringing me along on this journey. And what a journey it has been. Really looking forward to the next book in this series as I am sure it won't disappoint.
Just finished reading this book and could not put it down it is action packed from beginning to end. This series is outstanding so much so that I ordered the next book as soon as I finished this one. If you are a fan of this series and the author then you have to get and read this series.
This story has been great since The Event. I have been so enthralled by the characters and am sad we lost someone in this book. It was handled very easily which made me sad but help from having me bawling my eyes out! I am glad a new angle has been brought in and look forward to reading The Deities as soon as it is released.
Jules is set on a wild goose chase to save Dean, Patty and her entire existence. Before saving the universe from Lom Pleva, she must first find Patty. In order to find Patty, she must first find patty’s older brother Dean who was been gone for 7 months after the passing of his father.
It's he'd to keep tech of all the things going on with Jules. I'm sure Jules has trouble too. Absolutely fascinating, what an imagination this story has. Looking forward to how she kills lom.
This is an excellent series. Only a few more books and I'll be caught up, and then I'll have to wait for each release. For now, I can't wait to start number 14. Great science fiction - told well, with likeable characters.
Loved the adventure of finally finding both Dean and Patty. What a journey for Jules to discover who she really is. Amazing details into the special powers she holds and will hopefully use to rid the one major threat to her family
I have the box set of this series and #13 is more focused on Jules, which is intriguing and enjoyable.
It's well-written and fast-paced and engaging from beginning to end. I liked the characters, plot, adventure, and great sense of place and character development.
This is the best one out of the last 3 or 4. Wow, what a twist. Many things are resolved and many things are changed and changing. Exciting to read. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.
