Ghost by DJ Bryce

OMG Gost is just...WOW! He is a bit of a drifter, enforcer for hire. But something has pulled him to Dark Moon Falls. He knows that some of his fellow shifters have settled there and he has decided to give the town a go, at least for a while. But all that changes when he meets the one person who can change his life - his Mate!

Mackenie is one bitten, twice shy when it comes to shifters! She thought she was the mate of her husband and they had a son, Kellan. But he later found his "true mate" and left her high and dry. Now she makes ends meet by working as a mechanic at the local garage.

Can Ghost convert Mac to the idea of another shifter partner?

Ghost manages to make a connection with Kellan which was so sweet. He is just the male/shifter figure that he needs to help his transition. I loved how Ghost just steamrollered himself into Mac's life. Really good story, engaging characters and passion off the scale!

Jagger by AK Michels

Storm hasn't een back to see her aunt Celia since her uncles funeral. She is in need of some alone time and Dark Moon Falls is just the place she needs. But when her car fails and a male approaches, she loses it a bit and lashes out. Not smart when the figure she is flailing at is the local Deputy!

Jagger is just everything you want in a male. Loyal, passionate, understanding with a great ol' wide streak of possessive Alpha! Tightly woven story, superb characters and another grat episode in the Dark Moon Falls world! I really enjoyed Storm and Jagger's story and want more now!!!

In this amazing box set, I have read and am reviewing the following stories so far.

Cooper by Susan Griscom -
This is a short but emotional story. Cooper was banned from his pack for well something minor and although it put him on the right path in life it likely cost him the love of his female. He gets bad news from his Alpha and heads back home to find things have changed maybe in a good way. Kassy was there when he wasn't, she took care of his family. His love for her never faded now he needs to grovel and beg like a good wolf should. Truly heartwarming and sexy short story.

Review for Easton by the always amazing Heather Hildenbrand. Easton was very entertaining! He was a lot of fun to read about. He was a sad soul with a good reason to never have to return to his roots. He has a sad past and refuses the pack life. His mate is one brave and sweet lady. She has a heart of gold and does the right thing with a cool collected manner. Together, they are explosive both in and out from under the sheets. Rudy was a fabulous character and he is the ultimate friend. This story was alluring and a page turner! Don't pass this by!!!

Excellent Collection, buy Excellent Authors

Cade- Melanie James...Excellent and exciting story, find yourself wanting more of Cade and Ivy.

Jagger- Ava K. Michaels.... This is a story that keeps you excited from the beginning to end. You grip your seat and are trying to patiently wait to see what will happen next. In true author fashion, she leaves you breathless.

Abel- Bella Roccaforte...Edge of your seat excitement from the beginning until the end.

Logan- Robbie Cox...This was an amazing story and you cannot help but sit on the edge of your seat. Very exciting story and you cannot help but fall in love with the characters.

Tarian- Justine winter... Exciting story and leaves you on the edge of your seat, but leaves a few unanswered questions.

Lyall- Tami Lund..Nothing like a game of tug of war with our hearts. From the beginning to the end. Loved it.

Ryder- Elaine Barris...Edge of my seat Excitement. Biting my nails waiting for the end. Love it.

Jaxson- S.J. Pierce.... Hot and Sexy...Just the perfect male, where can I find one. Excellent and exciting story.

Easton- Heather Hildenbrand... More edge of seat excitement. Always love the drama when the human side fights what the wolf side wants. Haven't they learned the wolf always wins.

Dane- N.L. Hoffman... This was a beautiful story, although it felt a little rushed.

Ghost- D.J. Bryce... Always love me a good man willing to be the type of man any woman needs. Beautiful story.

Cooper- Susan Griscom.. I truly enjoyed this exciting little story. Always love this type of story.

Keaton- Alyssa Rose Ivy... This was a cool story with a little more than some hot wolf. Just felt we needed a little more info.

Maddox- Nadirah Foxx... Exciting story...loved it.

This review is for A.K. Michael’s story Jagger one of the 15 original stories that is apart of the box set Dark Moon Falls: Storm is leaving leaving the city to visit her aunt Celia at Dark Moon this is the first time she has been back since her Uncles Funeral. Storm is upset with herself for running away from the city she looses her way & she is late when her phone rings & the call has her almost loosing control; she comes to a quick stop & her door fly’s open & she starts screaming & beating on Jagger. He gets her calmed down until she realizes she assaulted a deputy who also happens to be a shifter wolf. Storm continues on to her aunts hiding a secret that brought her to Dark Moon and this is where Storm & Jaggers story begins. Once again A.K. Michael’s dose it again. I’m looking forward to reading the other stories that are apart of this box set.

This is for the story Jaxson, written by S.J. Pierce. Okay, I absolutely devoured this one. I loved Rhee. She spoke her mind and didn't take shit from anyone. She has a past, but she knows who she is now and is not going to let anyone bring her down because of it. Respect. And we all need a Zenesha and Maddie in our corner. And Jaxson? Yes, please.

This was such a great cast of characters, and I can't wait for the boxed set to be released so I can read the rest of the stories.

Loner wolf finds a female who had been attacked on his porch late at night. When he finds out who attacked her he will stop at nothing to protect her.
Good story line. Characters are ok. I wish there was more to them. More depth to them. Plenty of action, and enough hot scenes to blend everything together.

Ghost is swoon worthy!!! Him and Mackenzie are perfect for one another. If you like/love Alpha shifters then you'll enjoy reading Ghost. It's filled with drama, suspense and steamy moments. You'll need to fan yourself.

Great anthology for werewolf lovers!
4 & 1/2 stars rounded up.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader's copy of this book.
Overall, the book was very entertaining & held my attention & was worth the time & money. The stories for the most part, are not just novellas, a few read in a few hours, but most were longer. It took me way longer to get thru this than I had anticipated. The location & a small bit of the world building sort of interlaced a little, with a few of the background characters mixing into each story. I liked that this helped unify the stories in the anthology a bit. As always- with anthologies, some stories are better than others, but all were enjoyable in this book.

Cade- Cade & Ivy are intriguing couple, the story held my interest, & the story had a HEA for the couple.

Jagger- interesting story that pulled me in right away, wanting to see where Jagger & Storm end up. The protectiveness of a shifter towards his mate is so unique, & one of the reason I like shifter romances so much. I loved that he introduced her to his wolf, one of my favorite parts of shifter stories & one of my favorites from the book.

Abel- This story was a bit twisted & dark, it did hold my attention though. Abel & Ayry were not developed enough to really decide if I liked them or not though. The story does have a HEA for the couple, & I’m happy that they got a second chance.

Logan- I thought the story was enjoyable. I liked the protectiveness from Logan & Maddison for each other in the end, but I really loved the dog, Dax.

Tarian- Tarian/Tay & Ember were such an “opposites attract” type of couple. I was disappointed that they left Dark Moon Falls at the end. The end sounded like this was a prequel to a new series.

Lyall- this wasn’t an easy story for me because I didn’t like Natalia, Lyall was too good for her IMO. This worked out with their second chance & HEA though.

Ryder- the story moved to fast considering what crisis/trauma Keira had gone thru before Ryder rescued her on the road. I did like the main characters, but wished the time frame could have been longer for her to legitimately get past her trauma before they got their HEA.

Jaxson- There were a lot of twists & turns to this story, but I enjoyed the journey. Jaxson is yummy & Rhee is a hot mess, but they work their things out & get their HEA.

Easton- Easton was an intriguing character, & the sparks between him & Cat were fantastic, & I loved their second chance & their HEA. One of my favorites from the book.

Dane- this was a cute novella. I liked Dane & Kali. It was nice to see the whole story sort itself out into a HEA.

Ghost- what a sweet novella! Ghost was such a great character & match for Mack, I was so happy over their HEA.

Cooper- well this was a great second chance. I liked Cooper & Kassidy, though I felt Cooper was treated unfairly by the alpha forcing the situation him & Kassidy ended up in, but I was glad everything worked out in the end for their HEA.

Keaton- I did like this story, but felt it had too many loopholes in the plot that pulled me out of the story at times. I liked Keaton & Olive, & was happy they sorted everything out to get there HEA.

Maddox-  this story was a quick enjoyable read. I liked the main characters Maddox & Felicity, & was glad for their HEA.

This box set is full of gloriously steamy, exciting and thrilling reads that readers can enjoy one at a time or by binge reading until they can’t take no more. As with all multiple story collections some are better than others but this set can truly boast that every last book is enjoyable and very entertaining. The romance is sweet, the passion hot and the thrills and suspense abundant throughout. Also some stories are longer than others but of course being that is a collection, they are all on the shorter side but they each pack a punch full of individual styles, intriguing stories, and sizzling relationship building all set in a wonderful setting full of ambiance, intrigue and possibilities.

The stories are fast paced with suspense, excitement and twists and turns that keeps the readers glued to the pages of each of the varying stories that have a lot in common but all are each their own story with their own unique elements in a small sleepy town full of secrets world which ensures that readers have a delightful reading experience.

I read Ghost in my preview, and enjoyed it very much. It was a very quick moving, sweet romance about a lone wolf accidentally finding his mate when he moves to Dark Moon Falls to set down some roots. Mackenzie and Ghost are a great match, and both of them getting a 'do over' like they do very satisfying.

Logan by Robbie Cox

I loved Logan and Madison's story. It has a little bit of everything: hot shifters, witches, sexy chemistry, suspense and good vs evil. You'll have to read it to find out about Dax. He was such a wonderful part of their story.

These wonderfully well crafted characters are re visited throughout the series as all their lives intersect. This believably well constructed world these authors has created pulls you in and you never want to leave this wonderful little town of shifters, witches, vampires and a few other characters that pop up along the way. Dark Moon Falls

This box set is filled with individual stories that are separate but intertwined at times. Dark Moon Falls is a town filled with wolf shifters, humans and witches and of course some nasty humans, wolves and witches. I really enjoyed this box set and each story is written by a different author but in the same location and time frame. Well done.

This is a great box set that I've had for some time but hadn't read. Out of the 15 stories, there was only one that wasn't good and I just skimmed through. It also made me aware of other stories in Dark Moon Falls by authors I hadn't read before but will in the future. I already have Volume 3 of this series and can't wait to read it.

This is a soul deep love story, the kind of love only a shifter can feel for their mate, add in a psychotic lunatic to really kick start the protective instinct of the wolf and a race against time to save his soulmate and you have a story with danger, drama and passion.

Cade by Melanie James:
This is a fast past edge of your seat read. A lowlife Alpha, a rogue witch and some archaic rules come crashing together to separate a fated pair, But no one can beat fate!

Abel by Bella Roccaforte:
Wow, a dark nail biting read, secrets that can tear people apart but can they stand together to defeat the evil that could destroy them all?

Great characters and an interesting story tho it did get a bit confusing at times with all the characters and who they are. it does leave questions? Is there going to be a continuation? I’ll be watching with interest.

An entertaining and enjoyable story with a hefty dose of danger and intrigue.

Lyall by Tami Lund:
A will they won’t they story. Can Natalia overcome the ghosts of her past to get her happy ending? The danger thats waiting for her may bring the clarity she needs but will it be too late for her and Lyall?
Strength, patience and a oh so hot shifter that’ll wait decades for the right woman.

Ryder by Elaine Barris:
What Kiera has suffered is enough to destroy the strongest of wolves but there isn’t anything a shifter won’t do to protect their mate and Ryder intends to prove that. This author certainly knows how to bring the heat and to tug on the heart strings.

Jaxson by S.J Pierce:
Omg this story had me hook, line and sinker. I’m 100% totally in love with Jaxson. This man/wolf is perfect, not because he has no flaws, rather it’s because he does.
The author has us observing him through Rhee’s eyes but the whole time they felt like my thoughts, my feelings and my observations not a character in a story’s. Great piece of writing, I’ll be looking at more by this author.

Easton by Heather Hildenbrand:
The problems that forced Easton away from Dark Moon Falls are still there, is he ready to confront the issue head on and open his eyes to what he’s known for so long!
An intense and emotional read that spirals through a roller coaster of emotions.

Dane by N.L Hoffmann:
Secrets and Dark magic are at play that could destroy not just the pack but the town of Dark Moon Falls too.
Rejection, Love, loyalty and a curse keep this story moving along at a pace that’ll have you not wanting to put It down till the very end.

Ghost by D.J Bryce:
This story brings all the feels it’s a short but sweet read about real love and just what kind of impact nurturing can achieve. It left me feeling all warm and fuzzy and with a contented smile.

Cooper by Susan Griscom:

I really enjoyed both Keaton and Olive’s characters, I know it’s a novella and the storyline is a good one but it leaves unresolved questions? I’m wondering if there’ll be a follow up story?

Maddox by Nadriah Foxx
I really liked Maddox’s character, he has issues but that adds to his appeal.
An interesting storyline with danger, murder and a shifter who needs to accept the wolf part of him to truly find himself before being able to fully appreciate what fate has gifted him.

Dark Moon Falls
I LOVE anthologies or collections of short stories. This is a great set to explore new authors and be immersed in this quirky little town in the pacific northwest. Dark Moon Falls hides it’s secrets well. We have a coven full of witches. We have a wolf pack with wolfy police officers. A necromancer and a magus or two and a few other different characters. So, wander on into town and have a seat at Delight’s Diner grab some coffee and start reading. Watch out for Joy Darling, owner of the Hot Joy Café, she is the biggest gossip in town. There are fifteen great stories that will start you on your way to new adventures. Here are some of my favorites:
Bella Roccaforte’s, Abel, was a sit at the edge of your seat story, don’t skip that one. I will be looking at all her other books after this one. Abel was banished from the town, to return means certain execution. But he must return to comfort and support his soul-mate on the passing of her father. Things are not always as they seem. Fast action story – loved it.
Tami Lund’s Lyall is another favorite. There is a Tavern/bar in Dark Moon Falls called the Wolf Inn. Lyall loves a woman that comes in and out of his life never staying. Natalia is back to briefly to take care of her dead great aunts’ affairs and herbal farm. Sell the property and get out of town. Do not hook up with the local hunky tavern owner. Selina, her great aunt had raised her when her mother went ‘crazy’. Lyall is not going down this path again with a woman that does not want him like he wants her. Life and fate intervene in a Dark Moon Falls way. This was a page turner.
These are but two of my favorites, there are fifteen. Get to know the small intertwined community and fall in love with new authors and new paths to follow. You will love this collection too!

You can’t go back home again, unless of course you want to be seduced, kidnapped, tortured, and lied to.

Rhee returns to Dark Moon Falls for her father’s funeral. Burying the dead and having to face her past drives her to drink. Avoiding her mistakes is harder than she thought when every where she turns she faces a wolf shifter. Don’t ask.

She heads to the local bar to hide from the past and goes home with Jaxson - a handsome human hunk. During their night of passion, more than their hips bump in the night. Rhee wakes up to a house full of wolves and the realization that Jaxson lied.

On her way out the door, she not only has to worry about wolves but witches too. Trying to outrun the past, wolves, and witches, Rhee barely has time to grieve.

“Jaxson”, by S.J. Pierce, is one of 15 stories by different authors in Dark Moon Falls (Amazon, B07WJXLGQL, 2019). Pierce packs a lot of action in this novella. Rhee is a fabulously flawed character. She has a past and makes no excuses for her behavior. She faces the consequences even when she does not want to. Pierce layers Rhee’s character with those mistakes and experiences and makes her a better person. This makes Rhee a truly likable heroine.

The novella is titled Jaxson but to me the story is the growth of Rhee’s character. This happens through quiet moments and then action packed moments. There are some really funny scenes. The second characters are awesome and have some of the best lines.

I should talk about the sex (laugh). The sex is good and Jaxson definitely satisfies.

If the rest of Dark Moon Falls is anything like “Jaxson” then everyone is in for a really good time.
