A Kiss for Miss Kingsley
Collette Cameron offers some very witty comments - had me laughing! Long ago love that never died. Unsure of her reception Olivia agrees to her aunt's "addlepated" scheme to show up uninvited to a ball where her love unattached love will be attending. Will he give her the cut direct or does he still love her. Allen thinks he knows who he plans on making his bride until his long ago love shows up unannounced at the ball he's attending. Has she come to rub it in that she refused him all those years ago or does she still love him.
Only "problem" with this SHORT story...it was TOO short! :-) Collette delivers as always!!!!

Bride of Falcon
Six years = five seasons. Five long seasons for Ivonne Wimpleton to accept that she is an undesirable. Six long years to realize & accept that the one man she has loved since she was 15 does not love her.

Six long years - that's how long Chancy Faulkenhurst, Falcon, has been away from England. Six years since he's seen the one girl he wants for a wife, one that whose father refused him six years ago. Now he's home, poor & disfigured, with little prospects to woe the girl he wants & to gain her father's approval.

During a house party given by Ivonne's parents she is pursued by a man she has no intention of ever marrying. In running from this man she literally bumps into none other than Falcon. The man she's loved for years, the man she wrote to but never received a letter in return. Why, oh why, has she run into him now when she's finally ready to get on with her life knowing there's no hope with him? And why is her stomach dong flips at the sight & smell of him?

Ivy, his Ivy, still so beautiful. But why is she running, why is she afraid? When her would be suitor follows her into the arbor & demands to know why she's in the arms of another man, Chancy realizes what she fears. As the conversation continues it becomes clear this man is not going to give up so Chancy says the first thing that enters his head - Ivy is promised to another. Such a simple statement leads to headaches for all involved when the Prince Regent demands to meet Ivy's intended. As Ivy considers her options Chancy is considering a move to America - he cannot stand to be in England if Ivy is married to another. As the days continue circumstances change. Will Chancy stay in England? Will he propose to Ivy? Will Ivy be able to marry for love or will she have to settle just to make the Prince Regent happy?

I'm a huge fan of Collette Cameron's & she never fails to entertain - complete with laughter & tears and Bride of Falcon is no exception. An EXCELLENT read.

Her Scandalous Wish
Philomena Pomfrett has endured much in her two and twenty years having lost her parents in a fire, a fire which has left her scarred, the betrayal of the love of her life & now her brother is dying from a heart ailment. She would love nothing more than to live a life of solitude but her brother’s dying wish is for her to marry before he passes so he will know she is taken care of. Which is why she is enduring a London season. Waiting in the garden for he brother Philomena escapes further in to avoid a would be suitor only to run into the one man she hoped to never see again.
Bradford, Viscount Kingsley, has returned to London after seven long years. Seven years in which he has tried to forget the devastation of losing the only woman he will ever love. At least he thought he had forgotten until he catches a glimpse of a beauty while at a ball that brings it all back. Escaping into the gardens to avoid matchmaking mommas Bradford is captivated by the golden haired beauty making the same wish he has made on a falling star. He feels he should know her.
Collette Cameron writes an outstanding novella full of betrayal, heartache, anger, tears and her own unique wit. Ms. Cameron’s ability to draw you into the characters will have you traveling the same roller coaster as Philomena & Bradford. So buckle in for a wonderful 5 star+ ride.

A Kiss For Miss Kingsley

This was a lovely short story.

The author has a way of bringing to life each character. It is hard to dislike anyone!(Except Miss Rossington). She makes the reader feel as if they were right there witnessing the events unfolding.

The story takes place at a ball, where the two main characters, Olivia and Allen, already know each other. Three years prior, Allen had proposed to Olivia after a short acquaintance. She declined his offer to elope and asked him to wait a year. His response? “Like bloody hell I will.”

There is plenty of hurt pride to be had between the two of them. However, of course it ends happily ever after.

Bride of Falcon

The author does it again! She has the ability hook me from the first paragraph. The interactions between the characters are very entertaining and it never gets boring. This is a short story and I read it from the Captivated By His Kiss (A Limited Edition Boxed Set of Seven Regency Romances).

The story takes place in London during the 1800s. It is about a woman who is considered a spinster and a man returned from India scarred and disfigured.

Ivy, the spinster, captivates the story from the first page. I was already rooting for her and feeling sorry for her situation. It gets better for her after she runs into Falcon (the man she has feelings for and who has been gone for six years)and the story progresses from there. Our two characters have the classic feelings of “I’m not good enough for him/her” and a lot of mixed signals. It wouldn’t be a story without that! She will eventually live up to the title and becomes the bride of Falcon.

I can always count on the author to make me smile. Her books are the perfect way to cheer me up, because I know they always end happily. It’s like chocolate, after a stressful day, her books are the perfect pick me up.

Her Scandalous Wish

Had me grinning from chapter one. It’s always fun reading this author’s stories A heroine with scars on her body and soul, determined to stay a spinster, Philomena believes that her true love left because of her scars. A horrendous fire that left her homeless, and without parents, her only family left is her brother. However, her brother, sickly and on death’s door, is determined to marry her off before he dies. Philomena is left without any choices. A wish upon a star brings her love back from the past. Only, she doesn’t know that he thought her dead. The dialogue between the characters was fun to read. I loved that the heroine wasn’t perfect. She had insecurities and doubts which made her character endearing. The hero, Bradford (after we find out his good reason for leaving) was honorable, sexy, and sweet. What more can we ask for? Shooting stars start the story with a wish and ends with that wish coming true for both of the characters.

What a treat! Three wonderful romances by the incomparable Collette Cameron!

Olivia Kingsley is back in London after spending three years in the Tropics, dragged away by her eccentric father. Just before learning she would have to leave England, Allen Wimpleton had asked her to marry him, and when told, he gives Olivia an ultimatum: they elope and get married, or else they’re done. Olivia leaves with her family, heartbroken because Allen would not wait the one year the trip was initially supposed to last. Having no reason to remain in the Caribbean, Olivia needs to see Allen at least once more, so she and her brother Bradford arrive at a haut Ton function uninvited, so Olivia can see Allen and maybe get to understand why he acted the way he did. But upon setting eyes on him, Olivia remembers why she had been so infatuated with Allen, and he with her, but how can the damage be undone?

Collette Cameron’s A KISS FOR MISS KINGSLEY is a wink of a story! For a short story, the characters are admirably well defined, and I was wishing to know more about Bradford, because he’s irresistible! The banter between Bradford and Olivia and Bradford’s Aunt Muriel is priceless; it felt so natural, while being playful and funny. The prose is refined, light and sparkling like the best champagne. The descriptions are wonderfully vivid and at times quite hilarious. A KISS FOR MISS KINGSLEY is utterly charming, perfectly romantic; it’s a story that will leave you feeling happy and content!

I swear Collette Cameron nearly gave me a fit of the vapours with HER SCANDALOUS WISH! Philomena Pomfrett must marry as quickly as possible; her brother Giles has a fragile heart which could give out any day, and they are almost out of funds. Things look grim as Philomena was severely burned in a fire years before, where her parents died. The love of her life, Bradford, now Viscount Kingsley, vanished; she never heard from him, and Philomena’s heart was shattered. And so, trying to choose the less repulsive of the present suitors, who should be attending the Wimpleton’s ball, but Bradford.

This novella is grandiose! The story is extremely complex and fabulously compelling, there are plot twists every few pages, nothing happened the way I expected; at some places, I thought my heart would break. And what about the sumptuous, luminous, exquisite prose! Ms. Cameron is a wordsmith beyond compare! Every word is perfectly chosen, everything absolutely in context, the dialogues are glorious, there are a few quite humorous touches! Sublime!

I received a complimentary copy of these books in exchange for an honest review.

As for BRIDE OF FALCON, I haven’t read it yet, but why should it be any less than 5 stars given Collette Cameron’s storytelling skills and superlative writing! I’m looking forward to another fabulous read!

I received this book from the author for my honest review, that said I loved this set of second chances at love! In a Kiss for Miss Kingsley we have Olivia Kingsley and the love of her life Allen Wimpleton . His rash ultimatum tore them apart but seeing her again made him realize that he never stopped loving her.

Bride of Falcon Ivy Wimpleton has always loved her brothers friend Chancy Faulkenhurst aka Falcon since she was 15 ,she's trying to avoid her undesirable suitor by hiding in their rose bush, Falcon comes to her rescue even though he's madly in love with her he thinks he's undeserving of her. The Prince has demanded for Ivy to introduce her fiancé but the undesirable Fitzpatrick tries to force her into marriage. Falcon finally gets it together and comes to grips that his life is not full with out his Ivy

Her Scandalous Wish was my favourite Philomena and Bradford, Philomena was scarred in the fire that took her parents lives . She is trying to do what her sickly beloved brother asks by finding a husband before his sickness takes him but she can't get over her first and only love who she thinks betrayed her . He didn't even know she had survived the fire. While at a ball she makes a wish upon a falling star and comes across Bradford they share a kiss and are found by her brother, who demands he marry her , they realize that they never stopped loving each other but were torn apart by his cruel uncle by telling him that no one survived the fire . But their love healed their scars! All three stories can be read alone but they are related, Collette Cameron has such a gift of bringing her characters to life!

Embraced by a Rogue ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Written by Collette Cameron

This book brings to life all the loves that once was at the Wimpleton Ball in May 1818. It's seems present that evening were three rogues each with unrequited loves and find themselves unable to love again.

At this ball in the story A Kiss for Miss Kingsley, Olivia Kingsley has been away from London for three years and returns this evening for her first ball. When she and her former love Allen Wimpleton see each other again their love is rekindled and stronger than before.

In the book Bride of Falcon, Ivonne Wimpleton sister of Allen considers herself on the shelf. Ivy has pined for years for her brothers friend Chance. When he returns to the ball he is penniless and scared from the war in India. Ivy learns that Chance asked for her hand in marriage years ago and her father said no. She realizes he, too, loved her as much as she loved him. Their love is rekindled.

In the book Scandalous Wish, Brandon Kingsley Olivia's brother escorts her to the ball for her first outing. At the ball, Brandon spies a lady that looks somewhat familiar. After a secret kiss he learns it is his long lost love Philomena Pomfret. Brandon was told all the Pomfret family perished in a fire and he has never stopped loving her. His true love wins out.

I enjoyed the way Ms Cameron tied all these novellas together and each one touched your heart as a romance reader. I would recommend this book to any reader.

The first novella in this trilogy, A Kiss For Miss Kingsley, is perfect for the busy reader who wants to read something from start to finish in a short amount of time. And…it has all the required elements for a completely wonderful historical romance: a heroine (Olivia) who feels she must honor her father’s wishes, a hero (Allen) who wants her to honor HIS wishes rather than her father’s, a long separation due to their differences, and a reunification that provides for their happy ever after! A truly sigh-worthy romance.

I really enjoyed the second novella in this trilogy, Bride of Falcon. It had all the necessary ingredients for a sweet romance, including a villain, interfering royalty, a wounded hero, a vulnerable heroine, the gossipy ton, and a surprising investment turned into wealth. Chaz (Falcon) and Ivy waited six long years to get their happy-ever-after ending, but get it they did!

The third novella in this trilogy, Her Scandalous Wish, is Bradford and Philomena's story, a truly sigh-worthy second chance romance! Bradford returns to England thinking his childhood love (Philomena) was dead from a fire and has to woo her all over again when he discovers her still alive(!) and living with her ailing brother.

A Kiss for Miss Kingsley is one of my favorites by this author. It is a little gem of a story. Ms. Cameron's characters are always lively, witty, charming, and endearing. The characters in these three novellas are no different. All three stories are delightful and touching. The author has a wonderful ability to tell an in depth story in just a few words. All of her novellas are just as good as her full-length novels. If you're looking for a wee bit of romance in the form of a quick read, these are for you. I guarantee they will not disappoint.

Wonderfully entertained these stories deliver!

The stories have a continuity that seems seamless. Beautiful stories of second chances and I love the fact that they all take place at the same ball. It's good that they had a few impediments to their love at second sight, which makes the stories more credible.

Second chances

I really liked the concept that we all have a choice. Loving someone that much to hurdle any obstacle to get them back and keep them is wonderful. I love my husband so much that he will always be by my side.

A KISS FOR A ROGUE - I really enjoyed Olivia & Allen's story - it had some twists & turns which made it a fun read. Absence makes the heart grow fonder & it was true in Olivia & Allen's love. The only thing I didn't like about the story, was that it was too short. I would have like a little more time spent on building the characters, but I will definitely read more of Collette Cameron's books!

A BRIDE FOR A ROGUE - I usually don't like novellas but this one had enough good reading to let you get to know and love the main characters. The story had all the greats ingredients for me to enjoy, i.e., a disgusting hopeful suitor, interfering Prince Regent, a wounded war hero, a sassy heroine and a wonderful romance. Falcon has loved his best friend's sister since she was 15 and left to make his fortune so he could come back and marry her. Ivy has loved Falcon for as long as she can remember but then he left and never wrote and then showed up 6 years later. Can they get their HEA - I highly recommend this book & the series.

A ROGUE'S SCANDALOUS WISH - This was a lovely novella that sent you on an array of emotions from hurt feelings to sick/dying brothers, humor, romance and loving families. Philomena Pomfrett and Bradford, the newly titled Viscount Kingsley made a delightful couple and I also, loved his family - what a hoot they were! I won’t get into the details of the story, as it has been done several times by other reviewers, but this is a tale of second chances and betrayals of the worst kind. I highly recommend this book and the series - you won't be disappointed!

I enjoyed these three emotional romances. All the books focus on a different couple getting a second chance at love. The plots offer a good blend of drama, humor, some twists and surprises and plenty of intense emotions. My favorite of the three was Bride of Falcon. Ivy and Chance really connected with me and swept me into their romance. I love an honorable, wounded hero and Chance filled that role perfectly. While all the stories were entertaining, this was the one that touched my heart. This is my independent, impartial review.

1 star less because of editing (some words are clearly missing - his (jaw) dropped to the floor - or reversed in sequence). All 3 novellas are clean - the sex is behind closed doors. The main characters are well defined and the story flows strongly: The actions of one story interact with the other stories as well, it keeps you on your toes, and it's hard to put down. They each have their HEA, they are happening at the same ball and beyond. They finish with a one-year-after mark.

These three books are not to be missed. There are three wonderful uplifting stories. With her sense of humor and her romantic heart, she has thread three stories, Each one better than the last. There’s stories that will make you want to say yes they are so uplifting. Yes there is tragedy and we all know that romance has a happy ending. The difference is the way a good author presents the stories. And she is tops. Wonderful sensual sexual Real characters that you can see in your minds eye

This lovely trilogy was just what I needed in the middle of horror, dystopia and murder. The connections between the three were enough to rouse curiosity of the type, “But what about...?”, and still give us three separate stories where the couple in question were in focus and supported, but never overshadowed, by characters in the other stories. Beautifully done! And I laughed a lot.

This a series of stories about a brother and sister having returned to England and seeing their true loves after being gone for three years. I think you will find each story enchanting. They each see their true love again on the same night at the same ball. True love winning out above all.

Loved it

I love the Honorable Rogues series it is full of wonderful characters who are somewhat flawed, full of passion and love should the right person come along. This series is very enjoyable and I couldn’t put it down.

TERRIFIC!!

I'm not sorry I bought this but was equally surprised I had read them all as single reads. I enjoyed refreshing the stories. ENJOY reading
